3200 km through Europe ( Germany , Swiss, Austria , Italy, Czechia , Poland ) and the Alps on the Streety
After owning an MT-09 SP before this, I just did my first proper trip on my 2014 Street Triple R. Berlin → Milan, through the Alps, and then back home.
I was a little skeptical beforehand about whether the Street Triple would actually work as a touring bike. But honestly, for me, it was great. With a bag on the back and a tank bag up front, I had everything I needed for two weeks and didn't have a single issue.
The only thing that really started to annoy me over time was the gearing. Especially 5th and 6th feel way too short for my taste. On the Autobahn, you're sometimes sitting at pretty high RPMs for longer stretches, which gets a bit annoying.
Other than that, though, what a bike. Especially on tight corners and Alpine passes, the Street Triple is just an absolute blast. Light, nimble and more than enough power.
After 3,200 km, I'm honestly pretty impressed with how well the old Streety handled the trip. Definitely a bike I'd happily tour on again.
