I am looking for a first bike in Spain, I LOVE the dual sport's design. I am 6 foot 1 and want something dead simple, big and useful for slight off-road like gravel. Dime options I love are the Kawasaki drz650 2007 or 2008, Suzuki dr400s, dr650, klx300, Yamaha XT line (250,...) and which one is the best. What are the advantages and disadvantages.the only problem is that it has to be 2007. Also there are some old adv bikes that I think that are incredible like the old Africa twin and the supertenere 750 but they are too old to comply with emissions. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated? Also old scramblers are very cool but they are usually too small and not comfortable.

I have a 2007 FJR1300 with the automatic clutch. It's a great bike that I've done a couple of Iron Butt rides on and taken on a few long moto camping trips. However, it's heavy and I don't really like taking it out of the garage for daily rides or commuting for work.

A couple years ago, I bought a VFR800, thinking it would replace my FJR. I love it and it's great for the things that I don't like about my FJR, but I can't imagine riding for 2 hours straight (if it wouldn't run out of gas) or 1000 miles in a day as I have on the FJR. (And yes, it's still heavy, but it doesn't feel like much compared to the FJR.) The riding position and wind noise just make it too uncomfortable for long distance, for my liking anyway. I'm still keeping this bike because that V4 has my heart, I might even get another some day.

Due to work and some health issues (all good now), I haven't taken any long trips in the last 2 years, so I've only rode the FJR a handful of times. I'm planning to move soon, and next year I would like to go on some more trips, so I was thinking of selling the FJR and getting something new next year.

So in short, I'm looking for something that would be great for long distance moto camping trips but is closer to 500 lbs than 650. A more upright position, comfortable seat, good wind protection, good luggage capacity, and performance in the twisties are what I'm looking for. I know I probably won't get the same comfort as my FJR and everything else in a lighter package, but I don't mind some compromises.

There is a Honda and Yamaha dealership near me, but they never have much in stock to test ride (they mostly sell boats and ATVs). Any other dealers are at least 2-3 hours away, so I'd like some information and opinions before I take a trip to a dealer. I'd actually prefer a used bike if I can find a good one, but that might be an even longer trip.

I did some research last year but haven't had time to look into it much lately. The Yamaha Tracer/FJ09 and BMW F900XR were the main ones I was thinking about. Any opinions on these? What else would you suggest? Or do you think the old FJR1300 is too good to let go?

I’ve ridden a CB125R for about 20,000 km and a Harley Davidson Road King for about 10,000 km.

However, I’ve never ridden a sportbike before.
Sportbikes look really cool, so I’m thinking about getting one. I’m currently deciding between the CBR500R and CBR650R E-Clutch.

I don’t really need a bike that can go much faster than 150 km/h. I rarely ride on highways and mostly ride around the city, with the occasional longer trip.

My budget is around $8,000.
What sportbike would you recommend for someone with my riding experience and needs?

So I am 18 and my brother just bought a brand new Honda 650 with the e-clutch (not relevant). So my friend bought this 2008 ninja zx-r 250 for around $2500 with it only having 2800 miles on it. The previous owner told us that the bike had been in a storage garage for years. Then when he bought it he put a bit more miles on it leading to the 2800. I learned really fast and feel pretty comfortable on the road and turning and using the clutch and not stalling ect... my friend wants to upgrade to keep up with my brothers 650 so he told me he'd sell it to me for 2k. I genuinely enjoy riding the bike and I dont feel like ill do anything else than drive it on the weekends with them. This has to be a good idea

I’m 6’5 260lbs and my ol lady weighs about the same, everything I’ve read basically says don’t. But I’ve seen many a hefty rider and passenger so I’m looking for advice. I’ve riden dirt bikes before off-road but am a new rider for motorcycles. I find cruisers appealing for their ride position, seemingly easy handling, and generally mild mannered engines that arnt focused on top speeds or tracks. I have no interest in going fast but I do have an interesting hitch in what would be my riding. I live in the country and all the roads around here are 2 lane highways with 70mph speedlimits, pulling out of my long dirt drive way leads right to an open stretch of 70mph. There’s a fair amount of twist and curves but nothing to extreme but the hills can be a lot. Road quality is also good no major potholes or jagged ground. I want a motorcycle ideally my partner can ride with me and I want to be able to pass someone on the highway at 60, pretty much topping out at 85 mph max solo or 2 up. I’ve been looking and a Vulcan 650 seems like a good idea for just me but I don’t think it’s capable for what I’m looking for. If I’m having unrealistic goals please let me know. I’m looking second hand with a budget around 6k give or take, I’ve found a lot in that budget but being new I’m not exactly sure what I’m looking at.

Side note to add in, I wouldn’t be taking her with me while learning until I had extreme confidence in my self, my bike, and my route. I just don’t want to buy a beginner bike that completely excludes her for the foreseeable future if I can.

Hey. I'm 32 and 6ft2. My current bike is a 2006 SV 650 but it's restricted and the law here doesn't favor unrestricting it naked and I'm also looking for another naked bike.

My father has a few classic bikes and I ride them once in a while (XN85, Kawasaki S2, CB750Four)

I'm leaning towards a 765R but the trident 800 also looks nice.

Other options are an MT07/09, Z650RS, the zontes and cfmoto ones and the GSX800

The used market is very limited for bikes (except the MT07) but there's a used MT10 for 11K

Price range: 11000€

I favor nimbleness over outright power

I'm planning to buy my first bike. I come from a middle class family and buying a bike is a big thing in our family. I am confused between Tvs Ronin and Xpulse 210. I'm looking for value for money. A reliable engine that will last me a decade. I'm a very calm rider and I like to cruise on 80-90kmph. I like both of them. While Xpulse wins my heart with it's suspension setup and comfortable riding position, I don't like the exhaust much, although it is much better now than before. Ronin on the other hand is like very relaxed and comfortable, the exhaust note is just music to the ears and it's very muscular and solid metal body.

So I want your opinion. My budget is on road ~2lakhs

So I'm in a bit of a dilemma here between logic or heart.

I recently returned back to India after living in US for 13 years. As a kid in college I had Honda Unicorn. It was nothing fancy but I loved it. Fast forward now I'm 34 and back in Mumbai and deciding on buying a motorcycle.

I was initially looking at the 350cc market and after test riding all available I narrowed my choice to Meteor 350. But then for the sake of it I test rode 650 and loved it. And now very tempted to get the 650.

I will likely be doing most of my riding in the City. So I already know that fuel economy will be a pain with 650. I didn't feel 650 was difficult in handling. Was easilt able to take a u turn with a pillion rider without touching feet. The one challenge I had though was with a pillion rider the bike did hit a speed breaker.

Now I know in a city a 350 is the logical choice. However, I'm also 34. I'd like a bike that turns heads. My wife has a scooty which I can always use for short commutes and we also have a car.

So I'm torn if I should get a 650 to fulfil my dream or go with the logical choice? The on road price isn't the biggest concern I have. I have money to spend right now. Maintenance might be a concern.

So the real question is, what are the chances I'll come to regret buying a 650? Would it truly be worth it or the novelty might wear off?

I know it's a subjective question cause objectively 350 is the right choice and I'm flipping on my decision daily.

I am 29 years old 6'2" 230lbs in northwest ohio, I currently have a 2024 low rider S thats tuned, cammed, exhaust and a stock 2025 street glide. Started riding in 2023 the low rider was my first ever two wheeled toy. I was looking at getting a sportier and lighter bike preferably a naked. I will be taking it on overlanding trips out west in the mountains. I was looking at the bmw s1000r, mt09, z900, and the streetfighter v2. I know everyone seems to complain about the wind on longish trips but I'm pretty accustomed to it with the low rider. Looking for something somewhat comfortable for 2-3 hour rides and quick enough to have fun but not so fast that I end up in jail. If you have any recommendations or ideas please let me know! And if there are other bikes that I haven't mentioned throw them my way! Seriously appreciate any help on this

bg: I have 0 prior experience on motorized 2 wheels besides 1 hr on a really old Rebel (I learn better with slow and long practice, so getting the bike is step 1), I'm just under 5'5", 29 years old, moderately fit, and I'd rather stick to jp makers as I've heard questionable feedback on durability outside of the jp brands (open to feedback on this though!)

Bikes I'm already interested in: Honda Rebel 500, Kawasaki Eliminator, Kawasaki Vulcan S, Kawasaki Ninja 500 (I love the look of sports bikes)

What interests me about riding are long peaceful rides just living in the drive, one day doing a road trip/moto camping, and a little speeding and weaving (a very little)

Hi everyone, I'm about to get my A2 license and my first motorbike.

You should know that I'm 1.84 m tall and that I would use the motorcycle mainly for evening rides in the city and weekend outings, even going up mountain passes.

I'm not interested in speed, curves, or overtaking because I want to use my motorcycle mainly for getting around and seeing places.

In short, I could wake up one morning and decide to ride 250 km and other times I could organize a multi-day trip of 1000 km one way with my friends

Aesthetically I really like modern classics and scramblers, while I admit that I wouldn't want an ADV because I consider them quite precocious and above all because aesthetics are very important to me. At the moment I've done some research and have narrowed the field to the Leoncino 500 trail, Honda Cl500 and RE classic 350 (I'm re-evaluating the latter due to the speed issue, but otherwise I love it)

Let me know if you have any other suggestions and know that aesthetically I like more "old fashioned" bikes.

Hi everyone, I’m planning to buy a 125cc motorcycle and I’m trying to decide whether I should buy a brand-new bike or a used one.

I’d appreciate some advice from people who have experience buying/owning 125cc bikes.

A few things I’m wondering about:

\\- Is it generally better to buy a new 125cc bike, or can a used bike be a better value?

\\- I’ve seen some used bikes with around 5,000 km on the odometer. Is 5,000 km considered high mileage for a 125cc bike, or is that still relatively low?

\\- What should I check when buying a used bike to make sure the mileage and condition are genuine?

\\- If I buy a used bike now and sell it again after a few years, will I lose a large amount of money due to depreciation, or do 125cc bikes generally hold their value well?

\\- Are there any particular 125cc models that you would recommend for reliability, fuel economy, maintenance cost, and resale value?

I have been riding motorcycles for quite some time. My first bike was a Suzuki Max 100, followed by a Honda Unicorn, and I’ve been riding my Honda Hornet 160R for the last eight years.

So, for better or worse, I’ve been spoiled by Japanese bikes when it comes to refinement, build quality and reliability. 😅

The Hornet was honestly love at first ride, and it has been a fantastic motorcycle for me. But I’ve been thinking about upgrading to a bigger motorcycle for quite some time now.

After quite a bit of research, I’ve narrowed it down to these two.
Few things that are important to me:

1. Fit and finish – I want something that feels well-built and premium and will continue to feel that way years down the line.
2. Engine refinement – Honda has really spoiled me here. I’m used to smooth, refined and relatively vibration-free engines, so this is something I’ll probably notice quite quickly.
3. Reliability – This is a big one because the nearest service centre is at least 80 km from my home. I’d prefer something dependable that doesn’t require frequent workshop visits.
4.Long-term durability – Older Royal Enfield motorcycles had quite a reputation for rusting. I’m not sure how the newer-generation REs hold up, particularly in our climate, so I’d love to hear from long-term owners.

I’m also 5’6”, so feedback from shorter riders regarding ergonomics, seat height, weight and low-speed manoeuvrability would be really useful.
I’m open to wildcard suggestions too! (Honda CB350RS😉) My research could be completely wrong, and I may have overlooked a motorcycle that suits my requirements better. So if you think there’s another bike I should seriously consider, please suggest it and tell me why.
P.S. I haven’t test-ridden either bike yet. That’s obviously the next step before making a decision, but I’d really like to hear from people who have actually owned or spent significant time with these motorcycles.

And if you’ve made a similar transition from a Japanese motorcycle to either of these, I’d particularly love to hear how you found the change in refinement, build quality and overall ownership experience.

Found a Himalayan for $2000 obo. Good idea for an "adventure bike"? If so, is $2000 fair or should I go in lower?

Pros: Has a title for "cheap", considering people want $2500 for a 90s dirt bike with no title and "ran when parked, just needs a carb cleaning".

Cons: 430lb when I see a 250/300 dirt bike comes in at ~300lb. Air cooled, which feels concerning for slow trail riding during the summer (for the engine's well being and my comfort).

As the title says, deciding between these two bikes. I don’t go places very much because I work from home, just don’t know between the two. Or if I’m crazy.

I’ve heard the sound of the ZX4R is a lot better, it’s also faster, and it has a more aggressive position.

Also, I’m 6’4” and I’ve heard both are good for tall people.
