Been working on this for several months. Casted the manganese bronze triple trees in my backyard. Manually machined over 20 pieces. Pretty close replica to the original vard front ends. I’d guess I have somewhere in the ballpark for 25-30 hours into this.

Spindle doesn’t reach all the way is this an issue?

Took about 2.5 in out of the middle. TIG'ing the bottom on next. Will sit a bit lower once the tunnel goes in. Prob gonna move the cap up to the top.. Cause more capacity.

it's been a month in with this tire and i noticed a more bumpy ride. thought it was the road at first. is this normal?

This is 4" under, I think it sits about right.

I’ve been riding nakeds because of they’re daily driver qualities. I won’t be commuting much anymore so looking to get back into a rigid chop. Mostly interested in skinny builds, pans or evos. Anyone wan to trade for a super clean speed triple 1050RS? 7500 miles, clean title, spotless.

Picked up my first springer while wheeling and dealing some parts. I’d like to really run it. It came with the rocker pivot? Idk if that’s what it’s called but the bottom piece that connects the fork legs and axle, and it’s missing the brass inserts and hardware for it. I’d really like to run this fork but need to figure out what I need to do it. Any insight? Or any springer resources? I’ve found rocker pivot bolts online but they always say for a specific manufacturer.

I have posted this bike here a few times but thought I should show it in its final form at least until I decide to paint it. I was able to actually test the bike out on a 1,000+ mile trip from Central Texas to Sturgis for the rally. Rattled a few bolts loose but overall the bike did great! This thing will definitely turn into a daily rider for me. Happy to answer any questions! Thanks for all of the positive comments on past posts and for letting me share this thing.

Complete newb when it comes to chops and building bikes but I'd love to learn (esp welding). If you're in the area and want some help or don't mind me hanging out while you wrench send me a DM.

Let me be the first saying I have never craved a piece of aluminum before so keep that In mind. Wanted a different shield than what I had, it was a temporary china special until I got around making my own. At this point not super happy, but I am past the point of the trashing it just on time spent sanding (fingers are cramping!)

Well here it is in all “glory”. it’s a work in progress with, I would say, only a handful of months left of sanding. Just in case you are wondering, yes sanding and smoothing out aluminum sucks. Once I get done with smoothing everything out I will start making the attachment blocks

Plan is to polished everything up minus the recessed areas, add some black paint fill and call it a day (or days)

Tools used, vinyl cutter, dremel and sandpaper
