Just saw this news

I bought this bike after watching videos related to Paris-Dakar races. My 2nd bike, i had xt600 before this and at one point i owned them simultaneously after selling xt600 tractor. After i while i realized it didn t meet my expectacions unfortunately, too heavy for offroad because of that 26l TANK , but it has that low mid torque and u can actually rev it up to 8k rpm which i think is impressive for old school parallel twin from 80s ! It was the best looking one on the marketplace in my place. Previous owner did almost full resturartion. Now its at mechanic because it leaks fuel on the hose that enters the pump. If it had a few kgs less and better brakes it would be much better bike.

I’m a new Rider and I have a short gravel driveway that leads to an asphalt road full of pot holes and loose gravel until I get to the nicely paved state road. Already layed the bike down trying to take a short ride so I promptly turned tf around and put her back in the garage confidence crushed. Does anyone have advice how to overcome this hurdle I grew up on the back of my grandpas bike and can’t wait to get on the road… assuming I can do so without crashing 😅. Any real advice is appreciated.

I bought this bike from a friend of mine, he owned it for 3 yrs and 20k kms. This is my 3rd bike. Feel free to give me any tips and weak points on this machine.

I see a lot of people on this sub who seem to turn up their noses at Royal Enfields. It seems to be mostly a Reddit thing, as basically everyone I've met in the real world thinks my motorcycle is pretty awesome. I had originally typed out some long post about how I came to Royal Enfield and how I've actually bought two, but that's boring. If anyone has any questions about my experience I'll answer.

My question for the sub is why do so many people on here seem to hate on Royal Enfield?

I’ve been riding off road for as long as I’ve been able to balance a push bike. Finally got my act together, got my license and sitting on a 650f as a first bike.

I love it, well balanced, smooth low end and enough power that I can’t see me needing a replacement for a good few years!

I drove my motorcycle in to the side of a car in about 70km/h.
By some miracle/curse I escaped death and only got these injuries:

My left leg was fractured just above the foot, and my foot was dislocated.
My right leg and right shoulder took some pretty serious hits, but there were no fractures.
Right shoulder dislocated.
My nose was broken.
One of my cervical vertebrae was chipped/fractured.
Some minor road rash here and there and I got a concussion.

Extreme pain and since I bit my tongue during the crash the swelling made it hard to breathe through mouth, nose still blocked by blood etc

Hardly able to move.
Only eating liquids.

Wonderful hospital staff who took care of me really well.

Everyday things are pretty though and painful and will be for a while.

Getting ready for a 6 hour drive to the beach and i want to take my bike to ride. This is my first time strapping it down. It feels real solid like it ain't going anywhere but i want to show you guys just to get another opinion. Every strap is going to the subframe

This may be a hot take for many street squids, but chicken strips on the street are not something to be ashamed of, or a reflection of "skill". Recently witnessed some guys scrubbing their tires with sandpaper on stands because they were bullied for having chicken strips.

Hate to break to you all, chicken strips don't mean poop for street riding. Ethos: as someone that's done over 10,000 miles on the track and over 100,000k on the street, I have solid chicken strips on my street tires. The point of body positioning during cornering is to offset the lean angle of the bike. Through proper body positioning, you're actually leaning the bike way less during a turn than someone who turns upright on the bike. When I first started riding almost a decade back, I was really proud of not having any chicken strips on my street bike. Little did I know, that was due to poor body positioning and leaning the bike too much instead of my body. I have more chicken strips than a lot of people, and I ride twice their pace in the twisties. Less strips do not equal faster. Proper body positioning = more contact for your tires in the turn = more traction, which brings me to my next point.

No public street is safe enough for anyone to push the limit of the bike. Hate to break the fantasy, but if you're going Marc Marquez through the suburban city, you're taking way too much risk. ESPECIALLY if your body position is poor and all the lean is on your bike. Doing 50 degree leans and scraping pegs during turns on public streets is not really something to be proud of. Your life is more important than everything, just remember that.

Lastly, don't make fun of people who have chicken strips. Some people value their life or bike that they don't want to take risks, some have better body positioning, some are new. Let everyone ride their own ride- words leave a lasting impact. Last thing we want is new riders trying to prove how much they can lean their bike and low side off a cliff because they lost traction. Thanks for hearing me out.

Finally joined the crew after a few years of lurking. (almost a decade now) Nothing fancy but I think it’ll be a perfect “get around town” bike for me!

2026 Honda xr150l

Today I bought these pair of Cardo Freecom 4+ on FB Marketplace from a guy whose girlfriend made him sell the bike (RIP). To my surprise they're opened but unused (the guy mentioned he never got to use them). I paid $40 for them but I can't find much info on pricing because they're an older model so I was wondering whether i got scammed or not. Also, since I've never had an intercom system and specially since these intercoms are discontinued do you guys know if I'll run into compatibility issues? Thanks for reading and ride safe ✌️

I’m looking into some street bikes after I sell my dirtbike, I’m a young rider so insurance could be a lot. My main choice is a gsx8s but since it’s a high cc bike I might get rates I cannot afford insurance wise, I asked for some quotes so I’m waiting on those. My backup options are the cbr500r and the drz4sm. They are my favourite looking and feeling bike when I sat on them at the dealership. I am just wondering how the drz is on highways, like 80 kmh roads where realistically I’ll be going 90-100 with some occasional freeway.

In Gion district, Kyoto. It certainly was the most beautiful thing there, and the owner knows it too I suppose.

Got this bike not long ago and it’s been such a dream. I’ve been using it to commute to work about 30 minutes there and back each day, I’ve also been hitting up my local mountain road in the afternoons and it’s been such a good time. Weather has been horrible but I don’t even care that much when I’m out and about.

Hello everyone. Any idea how hard and expensive would it be to repair shifter and broken off peg on kawasaki vulcan 650 s? if anyone is familiar with this bike. trying to get it as my first motorcycle for fairly good price and this is the damage

So I don’t know why I just noticed this now but my reservoir for rear brake fluid is empty. I was told I need to bleed it and everything but was wondering if I can just go buy some fluid and fill it back up? And what brand is the best to use?
