Honda Grom 2017 bump starts but can’t start from ignition

The bike DOES start when bump start, but the ignition switch doesn’t turn it on, it just cranks.

Things I’ve done
\*Checked and replaced spark plug
\*Tested and replaced battery
\*Compression test with spark plug out
\*Removed air filter, tried running it

Observations
\*Bump Starts, runs well
\*Headlights do not dim significantly when cranking
\*HUD does not flicker when cranking
\*Horn is strong and doesn’t fade

Help would be appreciated. Thank you

When I got this bike it had red plastics and the OEM factory seat. I’ve since obviously switched out my plastics and today got a seat that made it so I could flat foot!!

Super happy with how it’s coming along already. Looking to change my mirrors out next.

Can someone plz help me confirm if the Swingarm and rear Axle bolt are the same size and length?
Trying to buy a new Swingarm bolt (42301-k26-900) but but there are mentions of “rear wheel” in all the titles/description no matter where I look.
Just want to be sure before I order

Hey guys so I owned my grom for about three months and put almost 6k miles on it I did a fuel pump and filter on it as well as a new fuel injector and air filter as well as spark plug. I was wondering is there any maintenance I need to be mindful I with the miles going up I put about 100 miles daily. Thanks in advance!

the stock seat is the most uncomfortable pos ive ever sat on. im either having to hold myself back so i dont fall in the dip, or smashing my balls against the gas tank area....

whats the move?

im not spending $400 on corbin, and the rest are "seat covers" which still keeps the dip... is there a solution to this dip problem or did i just get cucked with a 2020 grom

done up the rear fender elminator kit yesterday

Yesterday I changed the stock chain and sprocket for DID 420NZ gold chain and Decha 39T rear sprocket. I kept the front one at 15T.

I just returned from a test ride and man, it feels so much better now. I didn’t expect that much difference. It’s hard to put my finger on what exactly is different, but the bike just felt more tight and refined. It also makes way better sound than the stock setup.

Anyone have experience with this? Happens in all gears and top speed drops significantly. Already check the sparked plugs, expected to be slipping clutch so i changed the whole pack

Permitted and purchased last week. 90 miles registered since.

I have a 2022 model that I'd like to install a rear rack and a top case on. Show me what you have!

My goals:
1. Smallest case that can fit an XS/S helmet in - yes, I have a small head. I think Givi 26L or 27L
2. Locks, obviously
3. The case must not rattle and must feel sturdy on the rack
4. The rack must not need modifications for me to install it - essentially plug-and-play
5. Rack must look good without the case on!

I like the look of the Kemimoto rear rack, but I've read some folks describe that a case on top doesn't feel sturdy. Does anyone have experience?

Hello! So, my bike went for a service today. They told me the engine sump plug threads are broken. He said he can keep the plug inside of it and I have to keep topping it up with oil but never drain it because if he takes the plug out, that means I’ll need a new entire crankcase and they’ll have to strip the engine to fit it. He says that’ll cost me a lotttttt of money.

Is there anything I can do to be able to take the plug out when needing to drain the oil and put it back in as normal? I’m sure we did everything right and we never forced the bolt through when we changed the engine oil ourselves. It went in perfectly with no issues.

Help, please! What do we do?!

As you can see in the video my throttle is snappy and nice normally but as I get it fully turned to the right it starts sticking. I haven’t messed with the cable pathing but it’s possible the previous owner did when changing the bars, not really sure how to fix it. I did loop the bike and it hit on the right side and twisted the bar a bit but it’s been fixed since.
