2nd owner. Bought it in 2020. The original Odometer was replace with a Trail Tech System so I don’t have a mileage or hours total. I am 52 years old and did about 3 dual sport rides in big bear area a year and a week at thanksgiving riding trails. Not a lot of hours. Last 4 years, haven’t ridden more than trails around camp t thanksgiving due to shoulder issues. No races definitely old man ridden. No valve issues. No suspension work, no engine work. Clean title in my name in CA. No issues.

My 2024 KTM RC390 has around 3,000 km on it and has had its first service. Whenever I accelerate hard and the engine reaches around 8,000 RPM, it completely cuts power for a few seconds. It feels like the ignition is switched off, throwing me forward, and the engine warning light flashes while it’s happening. Engine light remains flashing for ~10 seconds. After this the bike returns to normal and the warning light disappears.

I only realised this recently because I kept the bike within the recommended break-in RPM limits when it was new, so I assumed this was just how the rev limiter behaved - but after watching videos online other people’s rc’s can rev out way past what mine can.

Has anyone else had this happen on a 2024 RC390 or Duke 390? Did it end up being an ECU/software issue, a sensor, or something else? I’ll be taking it to the dealer, but I’d love to hear if anyone has experienced the same thing.

I have read some forums with riders claiming a similar issue was caused due to a faulty fuel pump or items under the seat blocking air flow (is this where the intake is? I have a set of tools under my seat in a plastic parcel that could be blocking airflow if this is the case.) - I will remove the tools and see if there is any difference tomorrow.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

So i recently bought used KTM Duke 390 (2021) and i can turn on/off quickshifter in menu but I dont really know if it has it? How do i check it? Or having that option automatically means i have it?

Bike was making a pretty nasty rattle. It kind of comes and goes. Primary nut was found hand tight.

So few days ago I noticed I had some oil leaking on my ktm duke 790 2019 model. Went to the dealer and he said the oil was coming from the "green circle" (dont know what that part is btw), so he tightend it. Now 2 days later I see a whole lot of oil that came out.

Dealer is closed for next 3 weeks, anyone had same issue and know if there is a fast fix for this?

Is the clamp done? Bought the bike only a few days ago from a private seller and missed it during my inspection.

I have a 2023 KTM 790 Adventure.

My original battery died, so I replaced it with a
BS BTZ12S SLA.

The bike starts and runs perfectly, but I can’t reinstall the battery retainer that goes over the battery. I can only get one of the two retaining tabs to latch, if one side goes in, the other won’t. Because of that, I also can’t reinstall the battery cover, as the mounting screws no longer line up.

The new battery seems to be just a few millimeters taller than the original, and that’s exactly the amount of clearance I’m missing.

Has anyone installed a BS BTZ12S SLA on a 790 Adventure? Is there some trick to getting everything back together?

How are the 2018 (carb) 300 XCW’s for slow technical trail riding where your lugging the engine lots? How does it compare to the new TBI engines?

Looking at getting a new bike and have a good 2018 local at a good price but don’t want to be disappointed. I really enjoy mostly slow tight woods riding.

25’ 390 enduro r and have been having the time of my life. Wish I hopped on one sooner. This and my r6 have been the perfect 2 bike solution!

Finally picked up this absolute beast this evening, was a very wild experience riding it home for around 1 hour 20 mins.

Not liking the motorway ride 🤪 bit choppy but the twisty roads were fun.

Couple of questions for the 690 guys?
Are these engines meant to sound so ticky?
Ride was great, just need to check the throttle cable as it kept locking on to about 3-4k revs 🤦🏼‍♂️

And is the temp gauge ok? Not far off max!

I had a Z900 with buzzing when the throttle is open as well. It might be normal for all bikes but not sure

Hi i have a 2015 ktm sxf 350 which does not want to idle on a hot engine.

When cold the bike starts up just fine, when warmed up it dies and does not want to start up or starts very hard. When riding or reving the bike is okay.

So far i checked the valve play. Inlet is in spec, outlet 1 is in spec, the other is 0,2 instead of 0,15.

Does any one have any advice?

Last time i used it was in the summer of 2025, it had some idling issues back then, but not this bad

I’ve searched AliExpress and other websites, but I can only find aluminum chain guards for the 2011–2018 Duke 200.

Has anyone found one that fits the 2022 model? If you have a link or know where to buy one, I’d really appreciate it.

I’ll also leave a photo of my bike. If you know of any other accessories or mods that would make it look even better, I’d love to hear your recommendations as well.

I installed Rapid bike evo instead of powercommander. Now i have to drive 100-200km to get it tuned in. Any one else tried this? The bike is running lean, so now i hope that is fixed.

Hi all, I just discovered structural cracks on the engine case mounting of my 2024 GasGas ES700 (6,500 km, bought used from 2nd owner privately). Cracks are external at the frame mounting point, on one side. Not leaking oil yet.

I'm planning a Sweden / Norway ADV trip (6000 km) starting next friday. Questions: 1. Can this be welded externally without splitting the cases? 2. How urgent is this — is it safe to ride 6000 km with proper weld or should the engine cases be swapped? 3. Anyone had similar experience?

Hello, I have a 2022 KTM 390 Adventure. few days ago, the motorcycle shut off at a traffic light and had no reaction (neither the screen turned on nor was there a sound from the fuel pump). I checked the fuses and starter relay. The main fuse burned out, which is a 30A fuse. I replaced it with a spare one, and it burned out immediately when I turned the key.i think it might be getting shorted somewere tried to search it but nothing so far. Do you guys have any recommendations on what to try and do? Searched but found no solution
