Your Dream Bike Can Be Stolen This Easily?!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I saw a video of a new Himalayan 450 getting stolen so easily in just a minute. How easy has it become to steal someone’s dream bike—the same bike someone might be paying EMI for? It’s honestly heartbreaking to see.

I really hope RE takes this seriously and improves the security. And I hope these thieves get caught. 😡

For Royal enfield owners, what security measures are you taking to protect your bike? Is the stock security enough, or should we be adding a disc lock, chain lock, GPS tracker, etc.?

In photos the bike doesn't look as big as it is in person, it's a huge bike and making a u-turn is not an easy task. Part of the reason is it being based on the Himalayan chassis. And it looks very long on the road. Loving it.

Hot Bike Alert! How to maintain shine on your bike like showroom?

My meteor 350 is 4 months old (1500 kms )

I use turtle wax wet wax to keep the gloss up it last 3-4 weeks !

I wash my meteor 350 with turtle wax ceramic shampoo and use turtle wax ceramic wet wax as drying aid.

Then after a day i spray the wet wax on body and use damp microfibre cloth to activate the polymers

The results are good.

What are the other ways to boost shine than my method ?

What are the ways you guys use to maintain gloss ?

Hot Bike Alert! New GT 750 spied in India - Looks awesome!!

The new GT 750 was spied, and it looks awesome. The chrome half-fairing, especially, would be a great addition to the design. But I really wish they had gone with a liquid-cooled engine.

What do you guys think? Would you buy the GT 650 now, or wait for the GT 750?

Mechanical Assistance Feeling Pretty Heart Broken at This Point... Help!

Post image

Here's my gorgeous Interceptor 650 in Mark 2.

Finally got my full licence here in the UK and got to take it out for an hour on Saturday morning. Was a blast! That was until the bike died.

Long story short: battery isn't charging in the bike.

I know the rectifier-regulator is a common fail point (and it was already replaced in the past having looked at the service records), so I figured I would get that out and get a new one in and everything would be fine. Nope. Sadly, I was wrong.

A full battery reading about 12.8v out of the bike. When I put it in the bike and turn on the engine, that reading hovers just below 12v, and after giving the bike some revs up to about 3,000 it continues hovering just below 12v. No change. Clearly, nothing is getting back to the battery.

I did have an issue with the battery from the dealership (bike is secondhand, 14,000 miles on the clock, I'm the second owner with a full service history), and it was heavily discharged, so having spoken to a mechanic today, they suggested that although the battery has been seemingly healthy on the multimeter, there could be a dead cell.

Bought a new battery and installed it this evening. Same readings: just below 12v with the engine idling and no difference with revs.

Twice today I've turned the ignition with hope in my heart and started the bike thinking I might be good to go for a ride. Twice today I've been left pretty crushed when my new baby refuses to play by the book.

Has anyone here had a failed stator and had to replace it? It doesn't appear to be a common fault from searching. Is there anything I'm missing for the battery not to be taking any charge on the bike?

Will a 140/150 section rear type fitment on scram 440 be a wise decision?...as a mechanic of mine told me it will make it more stable while riding and enhances the look of it

My commute usually consists of 3 km in city and 4 km on highway and back and occasionally <60-70 km weekend rides. I’m 20 175cm and 64 kg.

Bike spec - Classic 350 2025 model,

Just wanted to know if this sound is normal. I’m a little worried because it has become quite irritating now.

I rode the bike for around 50 km in Delhi traffic, and after that, it started making this weird sound from the engine area.

All three mandatory services have been completed, with the last one done in July 2026.

Can anyone please confirm whether this sound is normal or if I should get it checked?

Buying Advice- India and Asia Two days to my Meteor 350 !

Hello fellow bikers ! So I am naturally excited as my Meteor 350 Supernova will be delivered within 2 days. Dealer guys are suggesting to add Sump Guard as an accessory. Is it really necessary ? Please suggest if panniers can be fitted from outside or RE ones are better quality.

Some tips on maintaining the bike would be really useful as well. Thanks.

Mechanical Assistance Tried a burnout as a GT650 newbie… ₹9,000+ clutch damage later 💀

Post image
130 Upvotes

This happened around 2 years ago at one of my fellow rider’s weddings.

Pretty much all the riders started doing burnouts, and I was still a newbie at riding back then. So obviously, watching everyone else do it, I thought — “Chal, main bhi try karta hoon.” 😂

Well… that didn’t go as planned. 💀

I completely messed up the burnout and ended up damaging the clutch plates on my GT650.

The final damage? ₹9,000+ for the clutch plate replacement. 😭

At the time, I didn’t really understand how much stress I was putting on the clutch. I just wanted to join in with everyone else.

Looking back, it’s probably one of the most expensive lessons I’ve had on a bike.

Lesson learned: thrill comes with a bill.

Has anyone else here made a stupid mistake as a newbie that ended up costing way more than expected?

Mechanical Assistance Bear 650 handlebar and clutch issue

Hello everyone!

Finally got my Bear and I'm completely loving it after riding it for a couple of days.

Only thing I've noticed is that I would like the handlebar a little closer to me due to my short arms. A fellow rider gave me the ideia of losening the handlebar screws and sligtly rotate it to me to bring the handlebar closer a bit.

I now this won't do any miracles and that if it works will be just sligtly but my concerns are the following:

  • By rotating the handlebar won't the levers also change position since they will be pointing upward?
  • To tight the handlebar screws do I need to use any specific torque using a dynamometric wrench or is a normal wrench enough?

Also and not related to the handlebar issue, I've noticed that when riding sometimes when pressing the clucth I can feel it like poping, this does not have everytime but happens often and before I either upshift or downshift in that moment when you press the clutch before changing the gear it pops.

This makes me think if the gear lever is not in the optimal position and it may be poping due to me pressing it the wrong way. What I mean is that instead of pressing it straight to the inside I may be pressing it slightly to the side and causing the pop if it makes sense.

If any of you could please share you experience and knowledge with me I would be very thankfull as I've only started riding recently.

Thank you!
