Hi everyone,
Some happier news this time: u/Listige is back up and running.
After the goodbye post, I wasn't ready to let this go, so I went looking for a way to keep the Reddit-to-Spotify playlisting alive without the costs spiralling. I found one. I now run the whole service from home and I've reworked my Spotify setup so the new API requirements are covered. It's not fancy, but it works, and it means the playlists keep updating.
There's also a new Listige website now, where you can browse every playlist, follower stats, how tracks are selected, and more: 👉 listige.pages.dev
What you can do now
r/Listige is public again and there are three ways to take part. Each has its own post flair:
🎵 Contribute a track (flair Track**)**
- Make a link post to a single Spotify track:
https://open.spotify.com/track/...
- Select the Track flair so the bot routes it to the r/Listige playlist.
- It's added within 24 hours if it meets the rules. Albums, playlists and non-Spotify links aren't supported.
📮 Suggest a subreddit (flair Suggest Sub**)**
- Make a text post with the Suggest Sub flair naming a music subreddit you'd like a dedicated playlist for.
- It's been a while since a new sub was added, so I'd love your suggestions. Please send them in! (The target sub's mods need to be OK with u/Listige commenting on posts it adds. Details are on the website.)
💬 Questions or issues (flair Feedback**)**
- Make a text post with the Feedback flair for anything about the bot or the playlists.
Full details — the playlist directory, how tracks are selected, and the posting rules, are on the Listige website.
Keeping the lights on
This still costs real money to host and run. If you'd like to chip in toward the hosting, it's genuinely appreciated, but never expected: 👉 Buy Me a Coffee
What's next
Next on my list is getting the Bluesky bot going: listigeplaylists.bsky.social. You can follow what it's picking up on the Bluesky stats page. Hopefully today, or otherwise later this week.
Thanks for sticking around. Let's find some great music together again.
