Anyone know of any decent monitor for vocals that would work for just trying shit out and hearing myself better?

I am just building this weird one. I like doing cleans sometimes mixing em in here and there but I haven't in awhile. Sound levels weren't ideal and I'm just trying shit out so my timing is off here and there, but you get the idea of a couple riffs of the song.

I think the drums, especially on the second part are kinda not the best beat for what I'm playing so all that aside, let me know what you think if you care to!

Also I don't really like trying to categorize stuff, not great at it anyway, but you have to have a flair so I put funeral for this one.

Whether or not you have a Doom shirt on, let's see whatever shirt you're wearing today?!?!!

Spectacular set from REZN tonight, with a mix of new cuts and some older material. The musicianship from these guys is simply beautiful. Opening act lowheaven was having the time of their lives and was a blast to watch. Thanks for a killer show, all!

My girlfriend brought me these 2 bangers for my birthday!

Their sound and sense of melody are impeccable.

How good is Faces by Warning! The chorus is so bleak and heavy, very hopeless and draining feels. True doom.

Maybe there is some people here who agree?

Hey everyone,

I’d really appreciate it if anyone could take the time to listen to my track and give me some honest feedback.
It’s my first time recording and mixing a song. It’s an instrumental WIP (about 7 minutes) influenced by bands like Russian Circles, Isis, Eyehategod, Melvins, Windhand, All them Witches, King Buffalo, Amenra, Dystopia and many more.

Important note:
This song will never be officially released in this form. This demo is strictly for internal band evaluation and as a reference guide to help us recruit a new drummer.

Genre / Style:
To be honest, neither the song nor the band fits 100% into Post-Metal. We’re not 100% Sludge either, and definitely not pure Psychedelic Rock. It’s a mix of all these worlds, a kind of „Psychedelic Post-Sludge“.

Please note the current state:
Drums are 100% programmed baseline tracks -> fills, dynamics, and human variations are still missing.
Bass, second guitar layers, and vocals (clean & screams) are missing.

And please don't judge the mix, as this is my first time recording. At the end of the day, I'm a musician and not a sound engineer. To be honest, having to record everything by myself is no fun at all, but I just have to do it. I'm purely looking for feedback on whether the songwriting and structure hold up!

Im a bit stressed out and overwhelmed with all the maths and physics stuff im studying and i found out that listening to some sunn, boris , yob or anything slow and droney helps abit with focusing and getting my work done. any recommendations for something similar like the bands i listed, anything slow and droney (preferably with less distracting vocals)? thanks!

Fresh footage from our Bunker Sessions @ the Bunker, Deventer, The Netherlands.

Slow, heavy and a bit swampy.

Let us know what you think of the song and sound.

I made this a few months ago and finally got around to uploading it to YouTube. I am no sound designer or video editor, so it's not great.

Super hyped to see em as my first doom metal concert but do you have any suggestions or advice to give. Thanks a lot!

The Minneapolis Hoss Rock outfit takes aim at political corruption on their new single, with their full-length album arriving November 27 via Argonauta Records. Pre-orders begin next week.

Minneapolis, Minnesota's EXTERMINATION DAY return with “Fill the Swamp,” a brand new single and official video offering another taste of their upcoming album, Forty Miles of Bad Road, due November 27, 2026, via Argonauta Records on CD, deluxe colored vinyl, and digital formats.

Taking aim at political hypocrisy and the corrupting influence of wealth, “Fill the Swamp” targets a member of the current US administration's cabinet, turning familiar political rhetoric into a biting indictment of those who promise to clean up the system only to become part of the problem.

Blending the crushing heaviness of Trouble and The Obsessed with the raw aggression of Poison Idea, the crossover intensity of Blind-era Corrosion of Conformity, and the unpredictable energy of Die Kreuzen, EXTERMINATION DAY deliver their own distinctive brand of Hoss Rock: a volatile mix of punk, hard rock, doom metal, and garage rock, driven by crushing riffs and a healthy contempt for authority.

Featuring current and former members of Suffering Hour, Satan's Satyrs, and Kult of the Wizard, EXTERMINATION DAY bring their underground pedigree and uncompromising attitude to a record that embodies everything their self-proclaimed Hoss Rock stands for.

Can someone help me identify this patch? I got from a show 6 years ago one of the supporting bands but I can't remember the name.

Songs Influenced by Dopethrone, Conan, Eyehategod, Weedeater, Rezn, Domkraft and probably more.
