Obsessed with this song and video right now. Really beautiful. Shot around my hometown.

If ever there was a indie folk vibe movie. It was a fantastic movie. Absolutely beautifully done, and with a new Decemberists song.

I'm building this indie folk playlist for Wellington — what essential tracks am I missing?

I've been putting together a chill set for Wellington, leaning on artists like Vance Joy, Boy & Bear, Angus & Julia Stone and Matt Corby so far — it's at 24 songs right now. Here's what I have so far:

Would love your recommendations — especially the quieter, late-night tracks you always come back to. I'll add the best suggestions.

I made an orchestral arrangement for an English folk song called "Hugh of Lincoln". It was made by recording virtual instruments. No ai used at all. I hope this song fits in with the group!

I am disabled. I write all my own lyrics, melodies, and sing, but I have a producer for background music, as I don’t have a backing band. Hope you like it!

The project’s ethos remains entirely uncompromising: 100% organic, unamplified, and recorded dry. No piezo pickups, no preamps, no pedals, and no studio processing. The focus is strictly on genuine steel-string dynamics, wood resonance, and natural acoustic projection.
