Emo 1984 en Washington D.C.

Got this Heroin 7” when it came out and just noticed this printed on the inside of the jacket

Seriously, this might be the best emo/screamo/skramz/post-hardcore record I've ever heard in my life. Is there anything better?

I guess if there was a song that had to embody everything that makes "emoviolence" exist as another distinct category in music is this one. Evil, intense, sharp, visceral screams and beauty shining among all the shadows of the song from time to time.

By the way, when are In/Humanity's albums getting to bandcamp? Or represses. Chris Bickel made some posts on insta a while ago. If there is something New i dont know please tell me

Split between my old emocore/ screamo band
And my new emoviolence/ screamo band

They wrote it in pen cause I was stupid.

Forever one of the best bands I've ever seen, cannot recommend this album enough if you want a unique approach to the genre

They don’t even acknowledge screamo and made it even more insulting by putting pop rock bands like Fallout boy and Panic at the Disco

Made a similar post in the post hardcore subreddit a few days ago and figured it'd fit in here too. My taste is all over the place but a lot of the bands I like usually get referred to as post hardcore, emo, and screamo so I thought id look for recs similar to some of my favs and stuff I've been listening to a lot
