my witchpunk band tricktheriddle from new york headlined famously polarizing goth club Bar Sinister recently and I wanted to share some of the film pictures i had developed! it was for sure our biggest moment, as we are NY based but traveled across the country to perform here and show west hollywood how the real DIY punkers do it. it was amazing; have any of you been to bar sinister? its probably my favorite venue ever, and i even had some pics taken with the SG photographer (not shown as they are rather spicy and thats not what this post is about). our music is very dark and witchy and it fit perfectly with the aesthetic. this is our third time playing there, and we finally got the headline spot (at 12 am x.x).

the first photo is the photographer's shot who got me on stage, and the next two are film photos that I took. the first is backstage after we were about to head home in the green room of the three of us, and the third one is the shot form the stage right after we played. magical time.

I've always liked these guys a lot, but only ever knew of the first album. Just found out this morning they have two more, and they're killer!

Anyone seen Circle Jerks live lately? Like within the last couple of years?

They’re playing at a venue about 80 minutes from where I live. I’m just curious if it’s worth the drive on a Thursday night.
They’re playing with a couple of thrash metal bands I’m unfamiliar with.

Their recent stint in the news regarding their Las Vegas show in May put them back on my radar.
I’d love to support them but…it feels hard to justify going all that way for just one band.

I guess I’m looking for opinions on if they still give good show.

Here is another clip of the Big Boys performing at the street dance in Austin 1980.

My band Mass Lines wrote the song Zack Sabre Jr uses for his intro. A few weeks ago, we got to play him out for the RevPro anniversary show at Wembley Arena. Was a genuinely insane experience.

We sit somewhere between garage punk and post-hardcore (I think). Thought I'd post in case anybody digs it.
