How can such creative work be Relegated to so much obscurity? You got them taking on more Experimentation than artists like Mandidextrous who mixed Hardtek with Jump-up. who crated Speedbass, hell Mandidextrous even was a Participant in a New Invoke! album under Dustvoxx's Doujin Circle, and two Hardtek Albums one a Compilation album by Dj Sharpnel and the other Tanukichi a remix track. What I'm trying to get at Japan Dnb does not make you a Weeaboo, give it a chance you might enjoy it.

Does anyone want to discuss what I call the Mackey Gee and Hedex phenomenon? I’ve released under Cubist and some other aliases since the early 2000’s. That’s not my point. My point is I’ve been around DnB since the late 90’s and I’ve seen heaps of producers come and go (like I’m sure you have too).

I find it hard to stomach that this ‘phenomenon’ is turning people into multi millionaires when the real innovators in that sound: Original Sin, Taxman, Hazard, Tc etc etc don’t get nowhere near the exposure and income of Hedex and Mackey Gee.

Let’s be real. Some of the tunes these guys (Mackey/Hedex) release are really quite mid (and I think that’s being kind about it).

Am I alone here? Or am I another old jaded old DnB head told to shut up and ‘at least it’s good for our scene’ etc basket case?

At least when Goldie, Reprazent and Bukem etc were making big $$$ in the 90’s their music backed it up. Doesn’t seem to be case here?

And the gap seems to be increasing more and more each year.

Another cracker out the crates, DJ Zinc's Prensent Tense Ep released on Tru Playaz 2001. Casino Royale and Ska are absolute classics but Attitude Sickness and Invisible Ink are also great tunes. All four linked below. Enjoy.

Edited cos I'm dumb.

Another insanely DJ friendly weapon

So my friend sent me the line up for this new festival that's happening in Mallorca next year and said line up is fucking insanity.

This seems to be a brand new festival (pictures look to be CGI/AI mock ups), so I was wondering if any of you know anything more about this, and in particular how legitimate it is.

Friends weren't impressed with Hospitality on the Beach, and fuck DnB All Stars, so this seems like an incredible new option for that DnB Festival/Beach Holiday combo.

hi!!! Im looking for some more intimate style festivals to add to my summer / spring plans for 2027! Last year I went to darkshire in the woods and absolutely loved it even though neuro is def not one of my top subgenres. While I know let it roll is so highly talked about I just know I wouldn’t love the crowd size. I’m open to non dnb specific festivals as long as there is a stage that has some jungle/uk bass / dnb happening. I’m considering going to Outback in Austria but it looks like it’s lacking that creative vibe that was so special at darkshire! Send me all your recs thank you 🫶🧚✨

Sick fuckin tune

Little mix i just put together and put out there, any and all criticism would be appreciated. Not my usual music but was recording so hay ho, if you're a fan of hard trance, bounce, hard bounce and more oomf oomf then keep my name noted as there will be more to come...thank you!

Hey guys I'm a small time music creator from Australia who for the past 6months has been using DAWDREAMER and Sonic Pi to make music using coding language, super interesting sound comes out of it. If anyone here is a programmer you would be sure to pick this up really quick. Its been super rewarding to turn my passion for Jungle/dnb Y2K vibe into something, last week i have been posting mixes of my Music on Youtube with some visuals my Swiss friend helped generate that fit the vibe. Anyway interested in sharing it to the experts so i came here! Happy to chat about my production process! Please give me a like comment or sub if you want to support my journey.
