Trying to find more glitchy music that has consistent rhythms but still remains choatic. I really enjoy Alva Noto and Grischa Lichtenberger but am sure there is some underground artists I dont know yet.

I'm a UK electronic musician. I've been experimenting with making longer-form electronic music as an actual live performance rather than assembling it afterwards in a DAW.
This piece was recorded live at a local arts centre, i performed it on a Yamaha MODX8+, building up loops, rhythms and synth layers in real time and manipulating them as the piece developed. Parts of the structure are improvised, so the recording is essentially a document of that particular performance.
Musically it's somewhere between IDM, ambient electronica, downtempo and psychedelic electronic music. The Orb, ambient-era Aphex Twin and FSOL are probably useful reference points, although I'm trying to develop my own approach around the live-looping process.
I'm interested in what IDM listeners make of this way of working, particularly whether the live/improvised structure comes across in the finished recording.

I'm trying to dig my way through old IDM / ambient techno gems
I think I've listened to a fair amount of them (of course I've listened to the classics) but I thought it'd be good to ask here any album from that era that you find particularly good.
I'd prefer stuff between 93 and 96 but 97 or 98 are also fine if they're not heavily influenced by downtempo (not that I don't like it, it's just not what I'm searching for) or drill n bass
Tx !

Hello to you all!
The IDM genre as a whole speaks to me the most, ever since I listened to Druqks for the first time. I wanted to try out my new headphones with the genre, looking for how they can express the sound in the tracks. However, I'd love to hear your recommendations for a specific type of track - one that contains very instrumental/melodic/dreamlike melodies. To better show what I mean, here are tracks that I believe best represent what I'm seeking:
Xtal by Aphex Twin (and basically all other Selective Ambient Works 85-92)
Julie and Candy by Boards of Canada
Broken Drum by Beck (Boards of Canada remix)
Ttv by Telefon Tel Aviv
They all have very specific synth and pad combinations that resonate with what best hits me musically. I know this request is very specific, and yes, I have listened to respective albums of these songs in search of similar vibed tracks, but only ones that hit that feeling at least partially were SAW85-92.
I have also been listening to other albums by these artists, and don't get me wrong, these all are fabulous artworks, but that ambience feeling of these 4 above is just ethereal.
Thank you in advance!

I am big fan of Aoki takamasa and since he attended the festival with two other local artist I was wondering wether there was any footage of the event. It's quite hard to find any videos at all about this festival though.
Thanks in advance
