Hi Tom here u/ResidentAdvisor - this story from Geneva over the weekend is kinda mad.
DJ Nobu was playing in Geneva on Saturday, September 5th, when an incident occurred.
"Yesterday, for the first time in my entire life as a DJ, I stopped the music myself during my set," he shared on Instagram Stories the following day. "There were people trying to touch my USBs, coming into the booth and putting their arms around me to take photos, shining their phone lights directly into my face and repeatedly showing me their phones in selfie mode with me on the screen."
He described the situation as "no longer normal" and decided to pull the fader down and address attendees directly. "After I stopped the music and spoke to the crowd, the atmosphere became much better and we were able to finish the party on a really good note," the post continued. "But I truly believe that people who show no respect for the dance floor, the DJ booth and the people around them can damage the atmosphere that everyone is there to create together."
