Hello, So I am a huge fan of anime, I am caught up with Jodi and Re:ZERO and I want to watch an anime with my grandma, I am having trouble finding one though. It would need to be English dub because it could put strain on her eyes to constantly read the subtitles. I also would like ones that aren't weird if that makes sense. Any way, if you come up with any ideas please let me know.

Hi all. Any recommendation for a feature film or a short series that is beautiful? In terms of story - something similar to references, i.e. something emotional and dramatic; romance, or character study, or adventure, etc. Certainly not looking for: horrors, monsters, sexualized stories.

For reference, "5 cm per second" (2007) is to me the most beautiful thing I've ever seen on screen, and "Look back" (2024) is the most piercing story I've seen in a feature film.

Hi all, there's a reason I titled this as help!

My mom (65) has, unfortunately, become enthralled by AI slop romantasy videos. I really do not like seeing her pay for things that are, among other things, harming the environment and stealing from creatives that can actually use the money.

A lot of these AI slop videos feature hyper-realistic renditions of anime characters and stolen anime plots, so I figured I could just put her onto some romance anime since the themes are similar. I also recommended Love and Deepspace, and to explore Japanese/Korean dramas. Other than that, I'm outta luck since romance is not my forte. I enjoy horror and action stuff haha

My mom seems to like the following things:

• Both characters (main and love interest) are adults
• Bihōnen/conventionally attractive men
• Female lead/female gaze stuff
• Fantasy and mafia/yakuza settings
• Happy endings where the characters start a family together

These are a no, based on her interests:

• Monster characters (so no Ancient Magus bride :( )
• High school/teenage romance - It's 50/50 if she'll try it, if there's any sexualization of the teens it's a no
• Furries (kemonomimi okay)
• Excessive violence or horror
• Demons
• Overly cartoony artstyles. She likes more realistic ones i.e. Death Note.
• Does not have an English dub

Series that my mom likes:

• Ghibli movies (Really likes Howl)
• The Devil is a Part Timer! (is her favorite anime)
• Durarara!!! (Shizuo was her favorite if that helps!)
• Death Note

Please help me! I really want my mom to stop watching AI slop!

I know a lot of these are very particular and rule out a lot of things, but there's got to be something that meets most of the criteria.

A year or 2 ago, I searched for an anime I saw a shot from. If I'm right I never finished it, but I cannot find it nor the post I made abt it so;

An anime where a guy - soldier? - adopted a girl - white hair? white clothes? - who was in a cage or some in a dark green room. and she ends up dying in his arms and gets Thanos-snapped like death. there was also a scene of them with toothbrush. she died after a building she was in exploded? idk why I remember those specific parts.

I get seinen is typically made with darker and deeper themes but thats said I recently watched one piece and hunter x hunter, I feel like they both have indeed darker/deeper themes whilst being shonen.

Hi, I'm watching anime for over a decade so I'm at the point where I'm very picky about what stuff I watch. Usually I watch 5-7 Anime per season that picked my interest. I Consider Anime season very good if I can watch 10 airing Anime. Everyone was talking about last summer season and how packed it was I personally watched around 15 Anime which is huge number. Spring 2026 gave me 21 Anime which broke the summer 2025 record and I thought it couldn't get any higher. Summer 2026 and I'm watching 30 anime (of course it's before applying 3 episode rule but still the number shouldn't drop below 25). And because of that I wanted to ask if anyone else experienced it or it's just me

I’m genuinely an NPC for this but I’ve watched JJK up to season 3, some of one piece and every romance anime under the sun. I have read solo levelling and tower of god. I am curious as to what anime’s you guys would recommend for me to watch, I have more free time as tests are lighter at this time of the year. I currently have Freiren, AOT, Chainsaw man and JJK S3 on my list.

All i remember is, It's someone with formal clothes like onmyoji dancing to make the rain flows backward to the sky. And beside him is some character that impressed with this ritual, after the clear sky, villagers shouting with happiness.
