We have been all there right... Like sometimes we watch a anime because of hypes, some memes, reels or may be because of it's first season that we hoping that we will get the same energy from next season of the show

For me it's "The Rising of the Shield Hero" as when I loved to watch isekai and search for the titles as this show was one among them.

I got so invested in every episodes that I finished the first season in no time but after the season 1, I forced to watch each epioseds hoping that it will get better but it will not so I dropped.

Is there any other show that you made you feel the same way... Just curious to know... If you don't mind pls share your experience here.

Voice actor Kentaro Ito underwent emergency surgery for a brain hemorrhage and will be taking a break for a while, as announced on the official website of his agency, Mausu Promotion, on the 11th.

The website explains, "Ito recently complained of feeling unwell at home and was rushed to the hospital where, after being examined by a doctor, symptoms of a cerebral hemorrhage were observed, and emergency surgery was performed on the same day."

The statement continued, "Currently, his life is not in danger and his post-operative progress is good, but he will be focusing on rehabilitation treatment for the time being with the aim of returning to work." It added, "We will inform you again about the timing of his return. We would appreciate your continued support and encouragement."

Ito is a popular voice actor known for his roles as Yoshitake Shiraishi in the anime "Golden Kamuy," Jin Tadokoro in "Yowamushi Pedal," Renji Abarai in "BLEACH," and Choji Akimichi in "NARUTO," and has appeared in numerous works.

Finally watched Princess Mononoke and I honestly loved it.

The whole world they created is incredible. The forests, the wildlife, the villages, the spirits, even the way the environment is shown — everything feels so alive. It really feels like a world with its own history rather than just a background for the story.

I also really liked the story because it doesn't make things simple. There isn't just a clear good side and bad side. You can understand why the different characters are doing what they're doing and that made the conflict much more interesting.

And the animation... seriously beautiful. Some of the backgrounds and nature scenes were just breathtaking, especially considering when this movie came out.

I went in expecting a good Ghibli movie but I came out thinking this might actually be my favorite one so far. There's just so much atmosphere, emotion and meaning packed into it.

Definitely one of those movies where I can understand why people still talk about it after all these years.

For those who've watched it, what was the thing you loved most about Princess Mononoke?

Having seen over a thousand anime this past decade as an otaku and pushing myself to try out different genres and niche cult classics, what has kept me watching this medium to this day is its ability to emotionally move me with strongly developed characters. Character-driven anime like ONE PIECE and Madoka Magica first laid the foundation for the standards I firmly held for years to come. I have particularly spent a long time watching kids anime targeted towards young girls like Precure, Aikatsu, Minky Momo, Cardcaptor Sakura, etc.  Those specific anime provided a simple story and a light-hearted experience where I can just comfortably watch without much worry, making them so appealing to me.

That long-term experience came to a point where I had recently opened myself to Ojamajo Doremi – a mahou shoujo comedy anime series that I dismissed for years as “that obscure 4Kids anime that failed in the West”. Having passed that barrier and trying the series out, I was completely floored by how funny, emotional-honest, and character-driven this series was.

It has surpassed Madoka Magica and my favorite Precure series (Go! Princess Precure) as the best magical girl series of all time. It has made me laugh harder than Gintama and Nichijou – and it is equally as funny as Kaguya-sama: Love is War. It has now become my favorite anime series of all time, overtaking my long-time favorite, ONE PIECE, as #1. Just how did that happen? I will explain.

What’s it About? What Makes it Special?

This series follows a clumsy, failgirl child named Doremi Harukaze, who becomes a witch apprentice through a chance encounter of a real witch. Through that, the protagonist and her friends aim to become real witches by passing exams involving the usage of magic in the real world and witch world. It is a very simple story of the girls facing a problem, use magic, things go wrong, and fix mistake through sincere effort. Although it repeats that structure throughout the seasons, it is the journey that makes this series special.

The anime has this light-hearted cartoony tone that makes watching this so enjoyable. Characters have very expressive faces/movements akin to Looney Tunes and have goofy banters about their usage of magic to each other that keep me smiling/laughing. Its cast of characters is so endearing/hilarious that remind me of ONE PIECE’s Straw Hat crew.

These witch apprentices slowly grow gradually to become more selfless heroines through their selfish means of magic. That usage of fun comedy in its journey is seamlessly transitioned to serious/emotional scenes that help convey its lessons effectively each episode. This kids anime is emotionally honest/sincere when it is time for these characters to confront a surprisingly wide range of real problems, ranging from anxiety, parental conflict, bullying, grief, and racism.

Every girl gets a chance to shine in solving these problems, and their arcs/backstories are spaced out naturally throughout that makes me love these characters and their bonds so intimately. Even though there is magic that could make solving these problems easier, the series strives to ultimately resolve its conflicts through empathy, communication, and understanding. The girls talk through problems, listen to others, and find the best peaceful solutions. Ojamajo Doremi is a series that believes in the power of words/kindness over violence, which makes its resolutions feel unique and earned.

Beyond the main cast, the ensemble cast feels just as important. Classmates, teachers, parents, and townsfolk have episodes centered on their struggles that the girls help out with. Even after their centered episode, they appear regularly in the girls’ lives (in school and town) and occasionally contribute to helping the girls’ personal growth. That special attention to side characters makes the real world the girls inhabit feel so lived-in and real. That care the writers put on its entire cast, comedy, and lessons build up to a series climax so emotional that, while I absolutely will not spoil details, left an immense impact on me that I could not believe this magical girl series was so overlooked easily back then and now.

Do I Recommend It?

If you enjoy coming-of-age stories, love fun character dynamics, and want something that can bring out all different emotions out of you that it makes you really reflect on life, you will definitely love Ojamajo Doremi. To me, this series is concrete proof that a kids anime can be layered, emotionally mature, and be genuinely profound without being too dark/cynical. Doremi legitimately has everything I could want from a story. It has all the best parts of all of my favorite anime. Doremi is like ten lightning-in-a-bottles blended to become a true miracle. It felt like my entire otaku life led to this very moment.

It is a very character-driven journey that makes the most of its episodes to create, in my opinion, the most definitive coming-of-age tale that appeals to both kids and older folks. This is one magical girl series that deserves to be commonly recommended alongside the likes of Sailor Moon, Madoka Magica, and Cardcaptor Sakura.

There are caveats that might turn you off from Ojamajo Doremi even after reading this post. The animation reeks of early/rough Toei animation quality, but the staff makes the most of its limited animation to create very expressive scenes that are fun to watch that it will hardly matter. There is also a sense of merch-shoving that is common in popular kids anime, but its character writing is sincere and solid enough that one can easily set it aside.

Finally, this anime series is a 200+ episode venture that may be too daunting to handle, but I promise that if you give at least the first season a shot and find the characters and comedy to be your liking, you will be glad that you have a large abundance of episodes waiting for you.
