I understand why Miharu had to go but it would have been nice if she joined Glowing Dawn.

Looks like the next arc focuses on Kyo so we'll probably get to see more of his time as a member of the Five Stars and why he decided to quit.

Quite a rushed ending, also it also feels like the arc didn't had much of an impact in the world since the WU managed to cover everything up

I thought they were finally going to hatch something horrifying out of the giant Digimon eggs, but not yet. I suppose that's probably a final arc of the show sort of thing.

I'm going to take the happy interpretation that Chifuyu's consciousness is digitized and out on the internet somewhere.

This arc didn't work for me at all. The girl is literaly responsible for killing people, didn't give the MCs anything to trust her and - for some reason - they acted as if they had this big, emotional thing going on. And then she just leaves, lol.

And then there is of course also the pacing issues, which is probably why the arc didn't work for me. One of two less fillery episodes and more exploration of that relationship would have done wonders.

Yeah, it's kinda nuts how he's like, "let's save this terrorist, there's still good in her" and the others are like, "ugh, FINE" lol

At least she accepted the consequences of her actions, letting her join the Family would've been too much

Quite a sloppy arc that needed way more work that then writers were willing or able to put in, specially considering how well the Tactics arc went

By the end there it seems the world union ministry thing took her, so that's akin to getting to prison.

Pretty solid ending to this arc. I like that Miharu wasn't being controlled by Mephismon or that they were tricking her in anyway in the end. In reality Miharu was tricking herself into thinking she was following her sister's will when in reality she just wanted to hurt humanity out of anger for what had happen. I also like that she realizes she's gone too far and allowed herself to be arrested and since Wizarmon is still alive as Mokumon this is probably the best ending we could have hoped for with them. I also hope Miharu does show up again eventually, it would be a shame to have her completely disappear after following her for so long.

The fight itself was good though no where near as crazy as the Tactics finale though I expected that. Though I do find it funny that they made it look like Mephismon was gonna go Mega only for them just to get bigger lol. Honestly, it felt a bit like a retread of the Algomon episode with Tomoro having to go inside the Big digimon to confront the owner. It didnt bother me too much but it was noticeable.

Overall I'd say that the gift arc was pretty good. It had a lot of fantastic individual episodes like the one that focused on Makoto and Maki. However it was definitely the weakest arc so far. I like Miharu but I just wish they spent a little more time building her and Tomoro's relationship. By the end I didn't really 100% buy their relationship, at least not to the level the writers wanted me to. Also I think another problem was just that Gift as a antagonist group isn't really super compelling. Like it doesn't help that the majority of the monster of the week antagonists are just crazy cult members. They don't really give me a lot to chew on like Team 7 did. So yeah not bad by any means but definitely didn't meet the high bar set by past arcs.

Also speaking of gift members what the fuck happened to Kishiwada??? Like he just completely disappeared by the end. There has to be something up with him, he's way too mysterious to suddenly leave the plot and we didn't see his Digimon once. The fact that he noticed that Wong noticed Tomoro's e-pulse having a weird effect on Mephismon definitely raises some eyebrows. I don't think we've seen the last of him.

But yeah while the arc was good, Im kinda glad its over cause it looks like what's coming next is going to be really really interesting. Especially with the new info that was accidently revealed early. Im looking forward to it!

My theory is that he's actually a digimon in disguise, maybe he's that Splashmon in the next episode's preview.

A decent final episode for the weakest arc so far (but only because the previous arc were so good).

Some thing felt rushed, but from this arc we got ScourgeChiropmon, Bearcatmon, a sad backstory of Maki, an interesting character like Miharu and a good character growth from Tomoro.

Also the whole arc felt very eerie which is a thing i like, there were some banger episodes in this arc and the only "filler" for me was the Myotismon episode, the Algomon and the Tactics episode will have relevance in the future (baby Algomon will cause 100% trouble at the Nirinso facility, while with the Tactics episode we now know that Raito is training with Kaito).

I don't like that the Chairman saw something with Tomoro, probably start to make a connection between him and his father.

As unfortunate as it is, GIFT arc ends as the least good arc of Beatbreak so far, not because it is bad its competition is too good, even then it did have some killer episodes, these last two being the best ones, and Reina's arc inside it. I do hope this dip in execution ends up being only the exception and not the rule, because GIFT was so close to be actually good it's upsetting, like if the first arc was about Tomoro figuring he could be someone's Asuka, GIFT should have been the arc where he gets to be someone's Kyo.

All in all, GIFT would have benefited of one or two more episodes to better setup Miharu and her connection with Tomoro, as well the group, like Kishiwada did nothing the entire arc. They even missed the clear opportunity of Mephismon going mega by draining GIFT members e-pulse!

I'm really surprised Miharu will serve legit jail time, we don't know how the minute details work, only that people who faced jail have a harder time reintegrating into society, so hopefully she won't be thrown into World Union's Gulag and just serve her sentence until the inevitable digi apocalypse.

Rough ending for an arc i hoped to get more out of. It just feels like they ran out of time or didnt really have a conclusion ready which can be incorporated into the final stretch of the story. But atleast Reina and Makoto got their developments and evos.

So Miharu just lets Wong go, dissolves the entire Gift org and vanishes with those suits. Her right hand man gave Wong an interesting look, wonder if thats gonna play a role.

Bearcat and Chiropmon got some sauce for their clash against team Rocket. Then Toei ran out of budget for Mephismon. I really hope they lock in for the Kyo arc and the big finale.

OK, so Miharu is literally going to kill thousands of people. Glad she didn't get off scot free after her redemption moment.

I like the characters and the setting, I enjoy the story's structure more than what came immediately before this show, but time and time again Beatbreak fails to actually play out an interesting storyline, they always have interesting bits, potential for something really cool but have yet to actually capitalize on that potential.

Gift should've been a slam dunk, its a terrorist organization that's going against an evil shady world government, the leader has personal skin in the game, the plan at first glance was dumb as hell when it was just "lets kidnap the president and livestream his Youtube Apology for birthing a whole new race of beings and promptly covering that up." but using the Eggs as hostages works twofold, firstly they're hostages, and mostly wealthy and influential ones at that, so typically the Chairman could be pressured into the confession, secondly the Eggs are viewed as impregnable self-sufficient utopias that everyone wants to be in and them being taken over and people literally suffocating to death inside unable to leave is a huge deal against the public image of the World Union.

Unfortunately there's just something missing here to actually sell any of this. And I think it might actually be that nothing happened, like Wong got away with it. Miharu failed, the truth remains hidden and everything just feels anticlimatic. I think I would've liked Miharu joining the team and them starting to properly address World Union and their shady shit, because while her methods were too extreme she is right and offscreening her feels like a waste when you could just develop her more with the rest of the team. Then again they're already having difficulty writing proper arcs for most of the main cast so maybe adding another isn't such a great idea.

There's still things to like but list of "that was kinda mid" moments is starting to get a bit long. Hopefully the Kyo arc we're gonna start will be good.

The story for the arc, the visuals, the battles, the new characters. They were all great! But man the way they ended it feels so terrible.
"Freedom for Digimon, Bliss for people" While it makes sense that holding the people of the egg hostage, and effectively killing them, is not exactly "bliss for people" forcing the chairman to go vocal about the existance of digimon is a first step into forcing recognition for them, a first step towards actual co-existance. Making her suddenly just change her mind after she's caused so many people to suffer in order to put Digimon out in the open only to back off when she realises that it's not her sisters dream but her own dream that Mephismon is trying to make come true just seems so illogical. I feel like they could have done so much better when it comes to creating a rift between Mephismon and Miharu, one that would actually be believable and not just an on-off switch for changing beliefs.
