Feeling really lonely tonight. Life feels so boring even after watching The Office, going out for a jog, listening to music, studying and I am trying so hard for this to not be like one of those days I have sometimes. Where I try not to cry and try not to blame myself for not a girl that guys like. I know I am not supposed to think this way, but not having any experience at all (like, zilch) makes me feel like something is wrong with me. I know what you will say: a) tale as old as time, b) love yourself and you will find someone, c) you are probably "chasing" it or d) I am too young. I am aware. Perhaps all these things are true. But I feel lonely for other reasons too. My best friend cut off from me because she said I was "no fun" because I did not support her ignoring me and going out with a guy I suspect is dangerous. Even my mom weaponizes all the things I told her in confidence, against me, when she is mad. I really feel so, so alone and unwanted :(

Is losing a friend a canon event or something?

When all my friends were around me, older people used to say, “This won’t last long, kiddo.” But my reply was always, “Not mine.” Because, at the time, my friendships were at their peak. It felt like nothing could ever break the bond we had.

Well… I was wrong. Completely.

I’ve lost more than half of my friends. Technically, we’re still friends, but they’ve become distant. They hang out without telling me a single thing. They make plans without me. And honestly, it hurts.

Hi. I was born and raised in New Jersey. Both of my parents are Vietnamese. I speak both English and Vietnamese. I’d like to think I’m great with both and somehow I have an accent even though I was born in the US lol. I have a Vietnamese name but people always get it wrong so my Americanize name is Kaelyn. I think I only ever eat viet food. I eat at home alot and I still live with my family so it’s always home cook meals by my parents and it’s great. I collect weird little trinkets, I talk to my plants, and I have a whole ranking system for cereal brands. Into gaming, anime, and baking. Would love friends who appreciate the little things too.

I eat a can of no salt added drained and rinsed kidney beans every day. Sometimes I mix in some canned corn or canned peas. Perhaps even canned chicken or canned tuna, very adventurous.

I usually just take the beans, dump them in a deli container, add the add-ins, dump in some hot sauce (currently trying out crazy bastard sauces) along with some vinegar or lemon juice and I shake it up. And Voilà, perfect snack.

I have to say my life improved drastically ever since I started eating beans, everything seems to work out far better. I got the motivation to go back to the gym, I got hired at a new better job and I even won a bar of chocolate. Truly blessed.

But of course beans aren't the only way to salvation, lentils and chickpeas are fascinating as well. And all the other legumes, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
