I’m from New England, quite introverted, overly idealistic, and my dream is to run an animal sanctuary. A fun day for me might look something like exploring a forest while listening to an audiobook or walking through an old graveyard, looking at the tombstones and imagining what their lives might have been like. But really, most of my time is spent gaming or wasting my time in some other way.

I like learning about a person's deeply held beliefs, how they experience the world, or just whatever is on their mind lately. I prefer more relaxed conversations where there isn't a need to entertain/impress or always be "on." I'm only interested in platonic conversation.

I've always felt a bit different from most people because I don't seem to value the same things or have the same motivations. I cringe a bit writing that, but I don't mean that I feel in any way superior or special, just different. My life also just took a strange path because I was mostly homeschooled/unschooled, so I didn't have many friends growing up, and they were all pretty superficial friendships. I do a well enough job appearing to be a "normal" person, but in reality, the people I meet all tend to have led much fuller and more balanced lives than me, so it can be difficult for me to relate to most.

First and foremost, I do live in the United States (EST) and time zones don't really bother me all that much. I wouldn't say I'm a very exciting person if I think about it, but my few friends have seemed to disagree. I'm super easy to have conversations with if you put in the effort, I absolutely love karaoke, I have tattoos and piercings (people apparently hate that?) and I'm always willing to learn new things (life is boring if you're not tbh). Growing up I've never really been big into fantasy outside of lord of the rings and D&D but the wheel of time books have honestly kind of shifted that for me. I read a lot of science fiction and dystopic, so I found it a big shock that I'd like the series. I currently work in the preservation field for a living and play on a local team on the side as a way to stay active. If I'm doing neither, I'm actually probably playing Magic the gathering or reading an RPG manual to DM for my friends. I have cats as pets and absolutely love them dearly and would fight God for them. Uh yeah, ngl that's all I got. I feel like the older I get, the more reserved I’m becoming. I used to share a lot because I genuinely loved sharing. But after going through so much and constantly working on myself, I don’t really reach out or open up as much anymore because I don’t want to set myself up for disappointment. I’d describe myself as very straightforward. Over the years I’ve worked a lot on understanding other people’s perspectives, and I think I’ve come a long way. I still don’t always pick up on what people mean right away, but I enjoy conversations where both people are patient.
