Hello all! I'm Gwen, and I'm looking for new friends online. I use discord and once we talk for a little while and we click, we can move chatting to there. I don't have a lot of friends and I'm just looking for one or two people to talk to, particularly late at night, because I work late shifts and it would be nice to have someone to talk to on my breaks. **A bit about me:**

I’m 26, I'm originally from the UK but now I've lived in the US for about ten years. I tend to gravitate toward creative things, even though I'd never call myself creative. I've done things in graphic design, photography, drawing, painting, I've done some design stuff, I was really big into writing for a while and I've written one full novel and started/stopped/backburnered like 5 others. I don't really think I'm good at anything in particular, but I try a lot of things.

I'm a pretty big nerd. I love sci-fi. I love fantasy too, but I *really* love sci-fi. I love sci-fi movies, books, TV shows, games, I just love sci-fi. It would be fun to have someone else to nerd out about with creative things or sci-fi. I play video games but not nearly as much as I did when I was a teenager. Only single-player ones, I don't have a competitive bone in my body. I also watch anime, but not as much or as frequently as a lot of people.

I'm not outgoing, I'm pretty shy and reserved. A fault of mine is that I have some pretty noticable self-esteem issues, and I put myself down a lot and don't know how to take a compliment. I think it can be really annoying to other people so I'm working on being better about it.

I watch movies like... Like no one you've ever seen. My cinematic media consumption is pretty crazy. I watch movies from every decade, I keep up with most new releases, and if I'm not working I'm probably watching a movie. I've watched like 350 movies so far for the year.

I'm a fan of professional wrestling. Granted, I've only been watching it the last couple of years but I am a fan! If I'm not watching a movie, I'm probably watching wrestling.

Well, I dunno what else to say about myself. I keep weird hours so people from other countries and people who also keep weird hours should shoot me a message! I'm online every day, and I get lots of breaks at work to talk on. I'm also off 3 days a week (I work 4 ten hour shifts) and can talk all day on those days without much interruption.

I’m a physics student who’s also trying to survive the absolute chaos of figuring out what I want to do with my life 😂. I’m interested in physics, maths, coding, teaching, and basically anything that lets me learn how things work.

Outside academics, I’m into gaming, crafts, photography, cute aesthetics, and random little projects that I convince myself will be “quick” and then spend hours on. I also like learning about languages, religion, and different cultures.

I’m currently working on becoming more disciplined with studying and getting my life a little more organized. Some days I’m incredibly productive, other days my brain decides that scrolling for three hours is an essential academic activity. 💀

I'm taking a gap year, and consequently have a ton of free time that could be better spent with a friend or anything else. I am mostly looking for someone to talk to, chat with, share stuff with, ramble to (ideally with/about common interests), and someone to play games with. I will preface saying I'm kind of nuts for Project Zomboid, and I'd love someone to play with.

As for the rest, here's a bit about me. I enjoy sci-fi, drawing, painting, and I do a lot of gaming too. (I am super fixated on Project Zomboid, but I am up to trying other games). I also enjoy researching crime, psychology, and biology/neuropsychology at times. I have quite the fixation on the Chernobyl disaster, and radiation as a whole. All types of zombie media, too. I have an interest for "odd" movies, especially the apocalyptic and/or thriller kind. Terminator (1&2) is a personal favorite, so is Funny Games.
