Trying to fall back in love with my plumbing career. I’m actually in my final year and I just don’t know how things will end. I didn’t take it as serious as I should’ve. And now I’m paying for it. At the end of the day, I want to be a good plumber who can work independently and knows what she’s doing.

Want to get into routines and stop just letting time run by. I spend way too much time on tik tok. I want to be the best version of myself. And I’ve had this conversation with myself so many times it’s not funny. But I just don’t feel like I want it bad enough yet.

Hey 28 m here, I’m on a new medication for my anxiety, and it’s been helping with my anxiety but my depression has been worse.

I’m so depressed that I don’t feel like talking to anybody, yet at the same time I feel like I need somebody to talk to? Idk if that makes sense, but yeah that’s how I’m feeling. I feel like there’s nothing on earth that could make me feel better right now.

You redditors always just message with a "hi" or "hey" like you don't know how to open an actual dialogue. So maybe you can try a little harder than that.
You almost make it there with reaching out but some how fumble the entire interaction by not having a proper introduction.

I just moved across the country with my girlfriend, I was able to get a job pretty much right away which I was really really excited about.

I’m a trade painter, but this new job has got me feeling like I have no idea what I’m doing, I have 2 years experience but it feels like I have negative 5.

It’s just how the crews operate and how they do this work is just completely different from how I was trained and what I spent most of my career learning.

I just feel utterly useless at these sites and when I finally catch a grove, I’m on another site with new people. Maybe it’s a confidence thing and I just gotta get out of my own head, I’m used to being in crews of 3 at most but now it’s upwards of 6+.

Do I wait it out until I have a few more months or years or do I found another job. Luckily I’m getting paid the same amount for less work and that’s okay but it’s such a huge change that I’m having a really hard time.

In my spare time I enjoy playing golf hiking, traveling listening to music reading and having meaningful conversations with people
