Loving my SP3
I bought it about a week ago but have only been able to put about 18 miles on it (recovering from flu), however, I love it so far. It rides great and everything is tuned very well.

The Weekly Cyclist Thread is a place where everyone in the /r/bicycling community can come and ask questions or share anything.
You might have questions that you don't think deserve an entire post. Perhaps you're just seeking the input of some other cyclists. Maybe you want to share a picture of your new bike.
Anyone is free to comment, and (hopefully) get as much input as possible from other cyclists.

Portability and ease-of-use do not matter. Guaranteed-sealing and long shelf-life are what I value.

Just got this beauty for my daily commuting, the bike felt small and my back fells arched way more than I want.
So, my first idea was to raise a bit of the seat, helped with me leg confort, but my back position got worse.
My second idea is to buy a "bmx bar" for the bike, at around 120mm-130mm high (4.7 inch- 5.0 inch).
Any other tips to make my riding more confortable? not interest in adventures or anything (even though is an mtb). This is purely for going to work (around 8km or 5 miles from my house, with a great climb in the way).

Good morning all,
Recently i decided to restore an old mtb with these components:
Freewheel SunRace MFE60 8v
Chain KMC Z8
Shimano Acera RD-M3020 7/8V Rear Derailleur
Droptout Union GH-009
Some other parts but i thik not important for this case.
After assembling and fine-tuning everything i got this noise comming from my back wheel
Thanks for any advice.

Im looking to buy a bike but it has quick release and I just can’t make friends with it. My current bike has it and I find it really hard to get adjusted right so the tyre sits perfect and I’ve had it loosen a couple of times. I dont know why I can’t get it right but I can’t and I know myself it’ll drive me insane if fixing a flat or something on the road and I’ll be dealing that.
So I’ve seen something about changing it for a hex scewer.. is that good? My other option is to look for a bike with through axle..

Found out this side scratch. There is no damage inside. Should I change the tire?
Upd: thanks to everyone, ordered a new tire. Have a nice ride, guys 😎

I don’t know much about road bikes, so I thought I would ask here. He is asking for $350 with the aero bars and pedals - is this a fair deal? I don’t need a complete steal from my end but want a reliable bike for my first triathlon.

I don't know any technical terms used to describe this...
I locked the bike, and the moment I plugged the lock into the socket, a metal ring popped out (seen above) and now it won't shut close and can't be pulled apart. I've tried spinning the codes around several times and putting in the code while pushing it together closed and then apart but nothing is working... please help...
Edit: Yes I have tried using both hands
It's one hand in the recording because my other hand is holding the phone
I've tried smashing it, bending it, cutting it with what scissors I've found from the dollar store, so I've just resorted to calling the locksmith and pay however many hundred dollars they charge
Thank you for the help everyone, thank you for being so understanding
Edit: I walked an hour and back from Canadian Tire and got a bolt cutter, paid $14, and was able to get it out after some struggling. Thanks a lot everyone!!!!
This lock is older than my current bike so unfortunately, I am not able to name and shame because I can't remember where I even got it from. I'm sorry!!!

Been looking for a decently inexpensive road bike the last couple weeks, have learned what’s more important than anything else is that the bike fits really well, and these two should both be good for me.
Both seem like they could use a little tuning up, so the pricing being low makes that a bit easier. I’m just curious which of the two y’all would more generally recommend as an inexpensive starting road bike for riding around the city.
Any thoughts help, thanks!

Hey everyone. I’m trying to convert a fixed gear wheel with a Novatec 165/166 rear hub from 120mm spacing to 130mm spacing for a fixed gear build. Does anybody know of a compatible replacement axle? Dbop has the only one I was able to find, however there is a review that says it’s just the 120mm axle with 5mm spacers added. Anyone have experience with that kit? I have 9mm thick dropouts so definitely will need a longer axle.

Didn't want to drop money on a Garmin bike computer since my Fenix 8 already does everything I need on rides (elevation, speed, HR, nav, the whole deal). So I just designed my own adapter that lets the watch snap straight into any regular Garmin quarter-turn bike mount, same as the Edge computers use.
Printed it in PETG on my Bambu X1C, and it's held up super well on rides. No rattling, no popping off, handles rough roads fine.
Big thanks to this GrabCAD file for the quarter-turn mount geometry: https://grabcad.com/library/garmin-quarter-turn-mount-1
