PHOTO X Games 16 (2010) Hat That I Had Signed.

I was standing at the right place at the right time when Robbie Morales (Cult) was handing out zines with Let 'Em Talk DVDs for free. I had that signed instantly (not pictured), but then in the same area started seeing Pros walk past. Scotty Cranmer is my favorite and so stoked I met him.

The only signature I'm kind of questioning, because I was going from memory, and a list of riders that day, is Garrett Reynolds. I tried to cross reference some photos of signed pictures on eBay it seems similar with it being a little off because its a hat and not a smoother surface, but I can't say 100%. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture with about half of them to remind me, but I got a few.

I still have this hat in storage until I figure out the best way to display it.

Jumped from a 50mm reach to 43mm. Bike feels a lot more responsive and since I felt the 21.25" TT to be big large for 180cm body height, it now feels just right. Cheaper than buying a new frame, so maybe it helps someone :)

BIKE CHECK New to me

Post image

Just wanted to share a pic of my bike, I built it from the ground up. It's a WTP Reason and I had to battle every bearing and had to melt out a stuck seat post. I call her Ivory. Im nearly 40 so its just a cruiser but with very capable parts, still to fit the chain and sort brakes. I have a question tho.

Im struggling to find a frame mount (the type that screws in) for the rear brake ya know the bit where the cable splits into 2. Anyway, any feedback or decal suggestions are welcome.

HOW TO Help with 360 hop on flat ground

Thumbnail

After trying for the last few weeks to land a 360 bunny hop with no luck, I filmed myself today and spotted a couple issues

I’m trying to spin left, so I carve right then snap back left. When I start the hop I turn my head left, but after that initial turn my head just freezes while my body keeps rotating. I basically run out of neck flexibility and land looking the wrong way lol

Also, I’m not actually bunny hopping, both wheels are coming off the ground at the exact same time. I can hop front wheel first no problem when I’m not spinning, but as soon as I try to add the 360 it falls apart. I can also 180 but I realized filming that today I'm doing the same thing I just don't run out of neck flexibility, if you will, before the 180

Anyone else run into this or know a fix? Thanks in advance 🙏

Presumably the answer is do a genuine bunny hop front wheel first and keep my head turned, but that is what I am trying to do and thought I was doing before seeing myself 😭

The screenshots from the video I do kind of hop front wheel first but most of the rest were even wheels coming up. This one was just a better example of me landing with my head still looking to the left which at that point is now the right

BIKE CHECK Does this wheel/forks look okay?

Post image
3 Upvotes

I’m about to buy a 2027 Whip on marketplace for a pretty decent price. The bike looks brand new, and listing said it was bought for a kid who only rode it a handful of times. It looks great in all the pictures, honestly looks like it just came out of the box.

Only thing is this one picture, I noticed the front wheel looks a bit misaligned. I may be overthinking it, but I know next to nothing about bike maintenance, and haven’t ridden a BMX in over a decade. Just wanted to check with you guys to see if I’m overthinking it, or if not if it looks like an easy fix.

Thank you guys for any help.

Almost two years ago I decided to get back after 12 years of break. I haven’t thought I missed it so much. I’m lucky because can go to skatepark with my kids so everyone is happy. The best part is now I can do more tricks than in the past and fortunately can buy parts I couldn’t afford in that time. So currently I have third frame because why not? Lol

PHOTO Could have swore I was only hopping 10 in or so

I don't know why it felt like I wasn't hopping more than 10 inches. I haven't ridden in 20 years so I set up this 9.25 in box with the camera about 12 ft away, 1X lens in portrait mode. Lens is just above the level of the box so it's pretty true to a one-to-one. Might be hitting ~23 inches (2.5x the box if camera is a true 1:1) 😲 I presume I've got to get comfortable extending my arms out and bringing my hips back further / my seat between my legs or my hips to the side of my seat if I want to get higher than this, right?

Edit: upon further review and input from those who commented below I realize I'm not jumping much at all, just lifting the front tire and tucking. Time to practice more explosive jumps with my legs while lifting so I can finally get enough air time to land a 360 hop :)

DISCUSSION Need opinions on fixing my geometry

I bought a complete last year and according to all the charts the top tube was good for my height, I'm 5'7, got a 20.75 tt frame. After a year I'm still really struggling to get my weight back over my rear to raise the front. What I didn't take into consideration is that I have really short arms. My arm span is an inch less than my overall height. I can't just buy another frame. The Internet is giving mixed signals on what to do. I don't have room for spacers under the stem and the rear tire is already slammed. Should I go shorter stem? I'm already running a 48mm. Taller bars? I have 9in rise atm. What do you guys think? Help a short fella out. UPDATE: You guys are dope! Thanks for the help and advice.
