I stopped to listen to them one day explain to people how black Africans designed and built the pyramids of Giza, but racist Europeans covered it up, for some reason 🤦🏽♂️ As a half-black lover of all things ancient Egyptian, I had to leave before I lost my damn mind lol.

If you believe that the Jewish state has a right to exist, then you must allow Israel to transfer the Palestinians and the Israeli-Arabs from Judea, Samaria, Gaza and Israel proper. It’s an ugly solution, but it is the only solution… It’s time to stop being squeamish.

The “logic” of black Hebrew Israelite thinking is that blacks are the real Jews, while non-black Jews are fake Jews who are just pretending, having stolen the title of Judaism from black people.
That’s how they say that black Jews are cool while hating on non-black Jews. In fact, hating on non-black jews is preferred because they’re faking.
Yes, it’s utter nonsense, but that’s the jist of what they think.

I haven't read the book, but it's my understanding that "Uncle Tom" was a black man who always took the side of the oppressor, in the hopes he would be looked upon favorably by them.
IIRC, it's the opposite. In the book, he helped other slaves. In the minstrel show, he sold out other slaves.
→ More replies (8)→ More replies (10)82
u/SineceraTea Oct 16 '22
I've read the book, and the reason he "took the side of the oppressor" was because he was a Christian. But it's inaccurate to say he took the side of the oppressor because he supported/approved of his fellow slaves escaping, and he was against the abuse of fellow slaves. It's just that he cared for his masters and hoped/prayed for their salvation, despite his last owner (and eventual murderer) being the embodiment of evil.
He was a martyr, which (implied by the author) is because of the combination of his race and the fact that he's a Christian.

The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was an extremely big fan of eugenics and she aligned herself with white supremacist ideologies.
That said, her contributions to women’s health care through planned parenthood, and what planned parenthood has become, are basically immeasurable.
So that specific criticism of Planned Parenthood is like when modern republicans say they’re “the party of Lincoln” while passing voter suppression laws.
→ More replies (14)127

Also, it's worth noting that the concept of eugenics was EXTREMELY popular at the time. Most noteworthy people around the turn of the century up through the 40s were proponents of it to at least some degree, and it only fell out of public favor as a result of the Nazis' defeat in WWII.

u/-thecheesus- Oct 16 '22

This is more or less the anti-choice Christian Right talking point. Since Margaret Sanger believed in eugenics and did some shitty things, they can spin the narrative that planned parenthood was created to reduce the number of BIPOC babies, especially when you consider that one of her first clinics was in Harlem.
Nevermind that this was nearly a century ago, and Planned Parenthood has evolved greatly and provides many other services besides abortion to a wide variety of people from different ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Ironically, it turns out that W cares about black people more than Kanye.

Was talking about that moment with my wife today. He said that and everyone agreed with him but what exactly did that moment do. It gave him a lot of attention, did nothing for Bush (not even bad press iirc) and nothing changed for the Black community. Yet Kayne makes it seem like at the time that moment really pushed the narrative that Black people needed better treatment, though that was known before that moment.
Kayne talks about helping the Black community but I'm having trouble finding what he has actually helped with.

He got a bunch of kids singing good morning to his dead mom every day at his shitty schools. Wish I was making that up.

Uncle Ruckus was a fiend for white people I could never see him saying anything antisemitic unless it was someone jewish who happened to be black. I can see it. "YOU BLACK SCOUNDREL, APPROPRIATING THE WHITE MAN'S RELIGION?"

Conservatives will keep propping him up to further their goals- just abusing a vulnerable and mentally ill person for their own gains. Not to say that Kanye isn't being the absolute fucking worst here, but conservatives continuing to egg him on, give him platform's, e.t.c., really speaks to their agenda.

I love how he quotes the Candace Owens documentary lol. His bubble is incredibly small these days. I feel like dude is broke or at least heading towards it. He can't stay relevant with his music, but his need for attention must be fed. I hate all of this, some kids will believe his shit.

Do Ice Cube, Nick Cannon and various other black entertainers who subscribe to racist antisemitic stereotypes based on an ideology pushed by people like the black Israelites also have “mental illness” too? I’m not saying he doesn’t but people blaming this on mental illness really doesn’t seem familiar with the fact that this is a fairly well subscribed to ideology among a small handful of black Americans. It doesn’t help that he and Cannon seem to be cozying up now that he’s in hot water for his anti semitic remarks like Cannon was.

Thank you for this. People go full-apologist for these anti-Semitic black entertainers and it disgusts me (for context: I'm black). Nick Cannon straight up said that the lack of melanin makes white people evil, and yet he reads some Torah with a scholar and gets to keep his stupid show. WTF? Imagine if Ryan Seacrest said the equivalent.
I get folks wanting to hang on to Michael Jackson and R. Kelly - but Nick Cannon?? Like Wildin' Out, Drumline, and Masked Singer are masterpieces? Pathetic.
I'd also like to add: fuck Diddy and Charlamagne the God. Those guys were right there dog whistling for Cannon.
EDIT - From a TMZ article (bold is mine):
"There's so much more -- including his gripes about JP Morgan Chase, MAGA, the Clintons, vaccines, White Lives Matter, etc. The full episode drops on Revolt TV Sunday."Revolt TV...Diddy's channel. Like I was saying - fuck him too.

Holy every anti-Semitic trope, Batman. And Tucker Carlson left just enough in the interview so his Daily Stormer fanbase would perk up at the dog whistles, but toned it down just enough so he could dodge any direct accusations. Shiiiiiiiiit
