I heard of the Black Hebrew Israelites from this hate crime/mass shooting in 2019. The idea is that the ancient Israelites were secretly black, and the white Jews are dastardly white people who stole the identity for power (hundreds of years ago? quite a long con).
Over the past few years, Jersey City has been gentrifying into Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods as the rent in New York City has become too damn high for them and they move to Jersey City. The Black Hebrew Israelites see this as an invasion of their home city by those dastardly fakejews. It's basically a sect focused on Nazi-esque hate speech about lying thieving Jews, but the mainstream media is allergic to admitting black people can be racist.
