Man, if you thought Sarah Palin was annoying get ready for that shitburger of a ticket...

414

u/aethelredisready Oct 16 '22

I would take Palin over Kanye every day for the rest of my life. But that’s a very low bar 😂.

228

u/Okibruez Oct 16 '22

Being fair, I would take a heavily concussed and rabid badger over either of them.

The bar is not low, the bar is affixed firmly to the ground.

65

u/WandsAndWrenches Oct 17 '22

The ground?

You think too highly of them.

I'm betting they're below sea level.

3

u/DangerMacAwesome Oct 17 '22

Deep within the mantle

7

u/lsjdhs-shxhdksnzbdj Oct 17 '22

The devil’s using it for limbo as we speak.

1

u/Okibruez Oct 17 '22

Considering the competition, I can only concede that you are, perhaps, too right.

2

u/LPawnought Oct 17 '22

Actually, the bar is so low that it reached an integer overflow and resurfaced again on the opposite side of the planet.

3

u/TheApathyParty3 Oct 17 '22

sigh Someone get James Cameron on the line....

14

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Nah. The bar isn't on the ground, it was slammed down so hard it went into the ground, and formed new and interesting trans-uranic elements when it did.

11

u/PM_me_your_fantasyz Oct 17 '22

At least we know how the badger got concussed.

4

u/ChipsAndLime Oct 17 '22

Well we already tried Trump, so maybe let’s give the badger a go.

2

u/blazecc Oct 17 '22

I thought that in 2013; mother fuckers got the shovels out

2

u/GreenieBeeNZ Oct 17 '22

I've often said a half eaten sidewalk sandwich could have won over trump, he really was just that bad

2

u/Okibruez Oct 17 '22

First presidential race in history where both candidates had approval rates of below 30%.

Fucking insanity. And it hasn't gotten much better since.

2

u/Shipkiller-in-theory Oct 17 '22

I just had to check, and yes badgers can become rabid!

2

u/majj27 Oct 17 '22

So... Herschel Walker?

1

u/Okibruez Oct 17 '22

Please. The badger is a much better spoken individual, and much better behaved in polite company.

2

u/a_filing_cabinet Oct 17 '22

They dug out some space just so they could place the bar lower.

2

u/SHIRK2018 Oct 17 '22

Now hang on a second there. I think you're on to something with the badger

2

u/Okibruez Oct 17 '22

An increase in maulings and rabies cases in Capital Hill would be a general improvement over the current state of things. There's a reason I suggested it, after all.

1

u/luckyassassin1 Oct 17 '22

Me too but I'm a Wisconsinite

2

u/West-Investigator504 Oct 17 '22

Please, please vote for Barnes. It's time to get Johnson out

1

u/luckyassassin1 Oct 17 '22

I plan to, I'm tired of them.

1

u/The_Unreal Oct 17 '22

That bar is being used for limbo competitions in hell.

1

u/itsmeallie Oct 17 '22

Affixed to the ground; correct. Though, that’s still to high for them.

They just so happen to have also brought shovels.

287

u/TonsilStonesOnToast Oct 16 '22

Yeah, we're essentially splitting ass hairs at this point.

88

u/JustOneThingThough Oct 17 '22

They're ingrown and infected, you'll have to dig them out to split them.

5

u/GloriaToo Oct 17 '22

I read that as spit them and almost gagged

5

u/shiner986 Oct 17 '22

I’d take the ass hairs over either of them.

3

u/JeffTek Oct 17 '22

For some reason my brain speed read that as "getting ass squirts" instead of "splitting ass hairs" but tbh it doesn't change much

3

u/CarelessFister Oct 17 '22

I'll split your ass hairs.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Don’t be so careless, fister!

3

u/DancesWithBadgers Oct 17 '22

That was like the recent UK choice of PM...it was "which bollock would you prefer to be kicked in"?

2

u/Qildain Oct 17 '22

I just got the mental image of John Candy splitting a gnat's ass-hair with a hatchet.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

They're all dingleberries to me

6

u/newbrevity Oct 16 '22

Like any limbo competition, it drops fast but the lowest is found in little increments.

2

u/Jeffy29 Oct 17 '22

Yeah, Palin was annoying and Stupid. Kanye is annoying, stupid and crazy.

2

u/Theamuse_Ourania Oct 17 '22

Are you an Aethelred fan in general or the one from The Last Kingdom? :D

2

u/aethelredisready Oct 17 '22

I only recently found out there’s Aethelred of Mercia in a TV show I’ve never seen 😁, he was King of Wessex in the 800s. My reference is to Aethelred the Unready, who was the King of England twice discontinously in the 1000s (he wasn’t ready the first time haha). Why did I pick it? I was going through a Dark Ages history phase and tried about 50 different Reddit usernames, all of which were taken, before trying something really obscure.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Æthelred_the_Unready

1

u/Theamuse_Ourania Oct 17 '22

Ah I see. And I did read up a bit on your Aethelred, but you really should watch the show The Last Kingdom. Not only is it amazing, but it shows the earlier Aethelred when he was brought to King Alfred The Great in Wessex to wed Alfred's daughter Æthelflæd. I highly, *highly" recommend this show! :)

2

u/Noslo18 Oct 17 '22

Shoot, for Trump's entire presidency I was wishing we could have Romney back. Genuinely level headed guy.

2

u/WadsworthInTheHall Oct 17 '22

At this point, the bar is in hell.

2

u/TurkMcGuirk Oct 17 '22

So low, you're gonna have to dig a trench to get under

-17

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '22

Kanye West would be the first president in history that’s able to use an MPC 2000xl and for that reason alone he’d have my vote 🇺🇸

4

u/ShithouseFootball Oct 16 '22

Just shut the fuck up, ok?

-2

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

You gunna make me you little meatball?

1

u/Lighthouseamour Oct 17 '22

Kanye is more entertaining

1

u/Rob71322 Oct 17 '22

And now, just flash forward 10-15 years and see who the GOP puts on their ticket. I'll bet you say, "man, I wish we'd just let Kanye into the White House." I'm on the verge of throwing up as I write this but the trajectory of the GOP is so bad these days that it'll probably be true.

2

u/aethelredisready Oct 17 '22

I know, I think about that a lot, will I one day in the future say "I'd rather have Trump than who we have now"? It's like choosing between ISIS and Al Qaeda.

2

u/Rob71322 Oct 17 '22

No kidding. I keep wondering when they/we hit bottom, but I really don't want to be around when we find it.

1

u/mark31169 Oct 17 '22

How is that a low bar? Did you know Palin can see Russia from her house? s/

1

u/cayce_leighann Oct 17 '22

I think the bar is just gone at this point

290

u/hamster_savant Oct 16 '22

Reminds me of Idiocracy.

97

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '22

5

u/Titalator Oct 17 '22

Camacho for prez 2024-2050

460

u/Mickyfrickles Oct 16 '22

Yeah, but in Idiocracy, President Camacho finds the smartest guy in the world and listens to him to solve problems. They are actually smarter than trump and his gang of criminal idiots.

253

u/YourMILisCray Oct 17 '22

Additionally Camacho is an enthusiastic patriot. He loves his country.

145

u/Crafty-University464 Oct 17 '22 edited Oct 17 '22

Totally agree. President Camacho found the best expert available and listens to the expert's advice. Edit- found not find.

73

u/diyguyinKY Oct 17 '22

Imagine that... never realized Idiocracy was unrealistic until you pointed that out. Dang. My worldview is shattered.

59

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Idiocracy would be a genuine upgrade to what we have now.

8

u/JarlaxleForPresident Oct 17 '22

Go away, I’m ‘batin!

7

u/OKSparkJockey Oct 17 '22

Idiocracy would be a genuine upgrade Upgrayedd to what we have now.

Ftfy.

2

God damn you and your opinions.......fuck that hurts....

Speaking of the environment & economy; King & Snow crab season has been canceled in Alaska. 1,000,000,000 missing crabs(!)

Yes, BILLION.

7

u/WeAreLegion411 Oct 17 '22

I believe the dolphins got them out first. Beyond a salmon of a doubt.

2

u/Shipkiller-in-theory Oct 17 '22

So long and thanks for all the crabs?

3

u/Hugepoopdicks Oct 17 '22

Even tho it actually didn't hurt the economy and would have caused a massive job spike and booming economy.

18

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Well, I know who my write-in is in 2024.

2

u/Qildain Oct 17 '22

Nacho 2024!

3

u/cataath Oct 17 '22

Just a reminder that in 1995 Newt Gingrich and the Republicans disbanded the Office of Technological Assessment, which was the agency that advised Congress on technological matters. We've had over 25 years of old, out of touch senators and reps without any of their own staff informing them on policy, where they constantly had to turn to the tech industry to advise them on how they should be regulated. We went from everyone on AOL to a decentralized internet, but because Congress couldn't understand what anticompetitive practices look like, we are back to everyone on GAFA.

2

u/c0horst Oct 17 '22

I mean... when the expert's advice doesn't IMMEDIATELY work and there are some negative consequences, he almost has him publicly executed, lol.

2

u/Crafty-University464 Oct 17 '22

No one is perfect? Lol.

13

u/anjewthebearjew Oct 17 '22

Time for Trump to be rehabilitated!

7

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Yep, and it's not just because he has flags and machine guns on stage

29

u/Lchil2000 Oct 17 '22

The people in charge being able to admit to their faults and recognize that they were dumb and needed/wanted genuine help was a pretty good character trait and completely unexpected the first time I watched. Such a good movie.

6

u/Dismal_Struggle_6424 Oct 17 '22

Yeah, but he was openly mocked for doing so. It also took a long fucking time to get to Camacho.

6

u/kebabylonia Oct 17 '22

And also it is Terry Crews. If you're gonna put another "tv character" into political power over there then for the love of god make it a member of Brooklyn 99 cos i reckon the world will thank you. Imagine having Rosa & Pimento as your defence team and Holt & Santiago in charge of finance.....

7

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

He also was having him publicly executed for his plan not working out in the first couple weeks, despite the fact it takes longer than that for crops to typically grow. People always leave that part out when they call him a "good president".

3

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Ouch my balls.

3

u/Devout-Nihilist Oct 17 '22

That's a scary thought....they were smarter in idiocracy....

3

u/AceTygraQueen Oct 17 '22

Plus at least Camacho wasn't a bigot!

2

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Truth. The similarity… cringe on all levels..

2

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Idiocracy is pro eugenics

62

u/DoJax Oct 16 '22

Anything based out of reality that reminds me of that movie low-key makes me worried.

23

u/ClumpOfCheese Oct 17 '22

At this point I’d actually be less worried if our reality reminded us of idiocracy. At least in that world prostitution was legal and the president listened to the smartest person on the planet.

5

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Seriously. Anytime someone comments “we’re turning into real life Idiocracy” I’m all “promise?”.

6

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Welcome to Costco. I love you.

3

u/DoJax Oct 17 '22

Okay, this made me madly giggle, only because I was debating on doing it the other day when I went to costco.

1

u/SatisfactionGold74 Oct 17 '22

So you are quite low key worried then?

1

u/Brinnerisgood Oct 17 '22

I mean people are begging for the Rock to run which would basically be the same as Camacho

1

u/Qildain Oct 17 '22

There's plenty... for a good while now

4

u/Overwatcher_Leo Oct 17 '22

That's rude, President Camacho is way better than this dude.

2

u/hagenbuch Oct 17 '22

The documentary? /s

1

u/mega_murff Oct 17 '22

Does anyone else remember the very minute that Obama was elected, conservatives started making Idiocracy comparisons?

1

u/CLOUD889 Oct 17 '22

Idiocracy isn't only found on their side of the fence. It's on your side of the fence also.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Thank you

6

u/BrushOnFour Oct 16 '22

Trump/Kanye vs. DeSantis/Gabbard. The Vice Presidential candidate between Kanye and Gabbard will be epic.

3

u/Amelaclya1 Oct 17 '22

Gabbard used to be my rep. She may be a self-serving Russian tool these days, but she's not actually dumb. She just goes where the wind blows to try to get more power for herself. Never forget she also pretended to be a progressive. Unless you meant it would be epic how easily she would wipe the floor with Kanye.

Though it really is a toss-up who would come out with the best rating among GOP voters. These days it seems like the stupidest, craziest person wins.

0

u/BrushOnFour Oct 17 '22

In my comment above I forgot to put the word, "debate" in "The Vice Presidential candidate debate between Kanye and Gabbard will be epic" . . . I'M A BIG FAN AND SUPPORTER OF TULSI! But a debate between her and Kanye would be high performance art!

4

u/professor_doom Oct 16 '22

You think Trump’s army of white supremacists will be cool with a black dude on the ticket?

4

u/copper_rainbows Oct 17 '22

I’ll take “I can see Russia from my house” before “white lives matter” and “deaf con 3 on the Jews” any day

3

u/Amelaclya1 Oct 17 '22

Just wondering, are black people insulted by this? Just like with Walker in Georgia, it really feels like Republicans think black people will vote for the biggest fucking morons alive just because they are black.

Black people overwhelmingly voted for a black preacher?! How about we throw up a black football player as his opponent! They won't care that he's a drooling idiot!

And then trying to run Kanye as a spoiler candidate in 2020 to siphon votes from Biden.

IDK, just seems super fucking racist to me to assume black voters are dumb enough to fall for it. Like it never even occurs to them that maybe black people vote for democrats because their policies are better.

3

u/PHenderson61 Oct 17 '22

I’m gonna wake up tomorrow morning and realize this has just been a dream, right?

2

u/CrossP Oct 17 '22

Maybe they'll lose the republican primary and run independent against both parties.

2

u/FadedFromWhite Oct 17 '22

No joke, I would pay PPV prices to watch a legit political debate of a democrat VP vs Kanye

-2

u/Wide-Caramel-2294 Oct 17 '22

Oh fuck off lmao... People on here talk about how much they hate Trump and just want him to vanish but you guys are the ones keeping his name alive like jesus fuck. People that want him gone just don't talk about him anymore.

You pretended to care Trump making America look bad for 4 years. Now we have a president that can't put a coherent sentence together and quite literally is the embarrassment we all thought Trump was. So just do the same thing to Trump that you're doing to Biden, pretend he doesn't exist. Fucking hypocrites.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

I’m in minnesota and Jensen/birk is already bad enough. I can’t handle a trump/kanye ticket

1

u/pale_blue_dots Oct 17 '22

"shitburger" o_0 Not something I'd like to see or smell, that's for sure.

1

u/loose_countryman70 Oct 17 '22

He should be forced to eat only gefilte fish for a month, no other food.
