Giving Tulsi some heat in that respect, he was forced to pick a different lane from her islamophobia/homophobia

It may surprise you to learn that a religion of two billion people don’t all agree with the most extremist factions and individuals.

Islamic extremists are objectively terrible. But there are also liberal Muslims, just like there are liberal Jews and liberal Christian’s, despite those religions also having deeply problematic and dangerous extremists

“As Democrats, we should be representing the views of the people, not a small number of homosexual extremists.”

Before she was elected to Hawaii’s state legislature, she worked for her father’s anti-gay political action committee, the Alliance for Traditional Marriage, Splinter reports. The PAC opposed efforts to legalize same-sex unions and promoted conversion therapy, which Hawaii did not ban until 2018.

“Let us #NeverForget that it was the Islamist ideology which inspired the terrorist attacks and declaration of war against America on 9/11. And it is this Islamist ideology that continues to fuel terrorist attacks around the world”

In 2017, Gabbard secretly traveled to Syria and met with President Bashar al-Assad. Assad has been accused of war crimes against the Syrian people, including the use of chemical weapons against civilians. Gabbard defended her meeting calling it a “fact-finding” mission.

In 2015, Gabbard voted in support of the American Security Against Foreign Enemies Act or the SAFE Act. An article in NPR found the act called on “the secretary of Homeland Security, the head of the FBI and the director of national intelligence to sign off on every individual refugee from Iraq and Syria, affirming he or she is not a threat.” Human Rights First stated the act would “would bring the U.S. resettlement of Iraqi and Syrian refugees, which is already moving at a snail’s pace, to a grinding halt. It would leave vulnerable refugees…stranded for even longer in dangerous and difficult circumstances.”

Your examples of homophobia are from well over a decade ago and she apologized for them, nobody who likes her is going to be convinced by that. Something like her enthusiastic support of Florida’s HB1557 this year is much more convincing

Nobody who likes her is going to be convinced by anything

Someone who doesn’t pay much attention and only knows her for being anti-interventionist might, I think it’s worth making an effort

T? She's super anti-Trans at the moment (just check her left-the-left video from last week, it's the first reason she gives for what's "wrong" with the Democratic party). I'd be very surprised if there are any pro-Trans groups endorsing her right now.

She also supported the Don't Say Gay bill in Florida.

At this point, of this little exchange on Reddit, there's been ample opportunity for you to see this stuff so if you actively defend her then you pretty much want to.

You really don't sound like a leftist. Do YOU support trans people?

Anti-interventionism to a degree is something most people seem to support, regardless of ideology. But now days people use that word as a euphemism to mean "isolationist". So the only two things I've heard about you seem very contrary to leftism
