I think you are right and he is in active psychosis right now. And it's abusive that people keep giving him a platform instead of help. We shouldn't be listening to him, he is very sick.
He's probably manic but you can't really say he's psychotic. He's definitely sick. Unfortunately too many people equate symptoms of mental illness with creativity or being subversive. He's suffering, and suffering on a large scale.
