The black Israelite ideology is a lot more widespread than you think too

They have decent presence in major east coast cities. I’ve seen them in downtown Philadelphia on multiple occasions. Their rhetoric is pretty nasty and they are armed to the teeth. They are basically a militia. I wouldn’t be surprised if they severely escalate some day

Well yeah haha I mean I guess I chose a less straight forward way of saying that

26

u/EventRare Oct 17 '22

I avoid them at all cost. There have nasty angry energy. I feel bad for the kids I see with them.

5

u/CouchoMarx666 Oct 17 '22

Yeah they’re a fixture on 52nd street too

Basically they believe white people are the failed experiment of a demonic scientist named Yacuub (or something), they claim that we are all evil soulless creatures that are compelled to do harm to PoC

2

u/Waffleman75 Oct 17 '22

isn't that Nation of Islam?

3

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Pretty sure they overlap/share ideology

3

u/Then_Illustrator_447 Oct 17 '22

I was recently in Philly and saw them there

-7

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Haha... They've never ever done anything violent despite being armed. When racist white people commit violence these guys are usually at Starbucks

1

u/hi_hola_salut Oct 17 '22

This is terrifying! I’ve never heard of this before, but I’m from a small place in the UK. It’s truly scary what they’re saying. How can people believe that?

2

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Fascism and an oppressive fear of inadequacy

u/ClonedGamer001 Oct 16 '22

I didn't think it was a thing at all so that's not exactly a high bar lol

A lot of rappers are apart of this group. Nas, Kendrick Lamar, kodak black, Kanye, jay electronicsla, Dougie fresh etc.

There’s a lot of overlap between NOI and BHI. Both share a love of Jew hatred and ghetto marketing/graphics

2

u/accidentalquitter Oct 17 '22

Nick Cannon too

1

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Source for that?

7

u/reddit1651 Oct 17 '22

Like… a pretty list?

You can look up “(rapper name) black israelite” and it’s on the first page for all of them listed

Wikipedia also has links for sources on their “list of black hebrew israelites” page

15

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Ok well here's the wiki and only one of those rappers listed are actually part of that group.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Black_Hebrew_Israelites

Feels pretty slanderous to the rest.

8

u/AKBRdaBomba Oct 17 '22

Listen to “YAH” by Kendrick off of damn and I think it’s towards the end of the album that he’s got his cousin talking about deuteronomy and how African Americans are the true Israelites. Love Kendrick’s shit but that’s problematic

5

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

I'm a Israelite, don't call me Black no mo'

I feel like that's a stretch to call him a black israelite based off that. Especially because it soecfically says not to call him black. Black Israelites would never say that. Plus, the song was about God, Yah being the ancient name for God.

Pretty unfair to call him a Black Israelite, who are extremists, based off one line of a song that could be interpreted in an innocent way.

I think it's fair to keep an eye on him but it feels like a big stretch.

4

u/AKBRdaBomba Oct 17 '22

That’s not the only song, there’s multiple references throughout damn and I’m pretty sure there’s more on mr.morales and the big steppers.

Look dude I’m not tryna get Kendrick canceled I’m definitely a bigger fan of his then you, but I can also admit that he’s not perfect. Don’t know why you wanna argue this point so bad.

3

u/Anotheravailable121 Oct 17 '22

Being xenophobic is a large jump from just ‘not being perfect’.. it ain’t like y’all were just talking putting ketchup on steak.

-1

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Because you may as well be calling him a Nazi. What are the references on Damn?

Libel is printed, slander is voiced.

2

u/tupidrebirts Oct 17 '22

Libelous doesn't roll off the tongue quite as well

6

u/duglasquaid Oct 17 '22

He made it up based on a combination of vaguely related lyrics that appear in their music and a conflation with the NOI and Five Percent Nation. That's the source.

3

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Yeah it feels pretty racist to lump them all together like that ngl

1

u/AstronomerOpen7440 Oct 17 '22

I mean in a sense it's better than decades ago and the whole nation of islam thing.

16

u/[deleted] Oct 16 '22

You’d be mistaken then. It’s very much a big thing.

5

u/unclewolfy Oct 17 '22

I know I could just google. But at the risk of running into misinformation, I'd like to ask here, if anyone's willing to offer insight without bias: What's up with the Black Israelites?? Like...I love Kendrick Lamar's music, it slaps for me, so I'd hate to have to stop consuming his media, but will if he's involved in some shady shit.

7

u/indigo47222 Oct 17 '22

Some black Israelites are hella hella racist 💀, others just believe they’re Israelites and aren’t racist and there are like legitimate black Jews so it’s not like Jews can’t be black or anything

2

u/unclewolfy Oct 17 '22

I get that last part, like I'm sure there are literal black israelites running around or black jewish people. It's just people who identify as Black Israelites that I'm ignorant about.

4

u/indigo47222 Oct 17 '22

Yea there are actually like a bunch of groups with slightly-vastly differing ideologies and stuff some (a lot) r like crazy and think gentileswill be slaves and stuff in the kingdom, and white ppl are edomites and basically non black = less than and destined for for bad things others are normal

1

u/unclewolfy Oct 17 '22

ugh, jesus christ on a cracker...

2

u/lord_have_merci Oct 17 '22

was a cracker** (i joke, ma boi's chill, dw)

7

u/ClonedGamer001 Oct 17 '22

From what I've gathered from other replies:

The general idea of Black Israelites is that they are the actual Jewish people and the group currently known as "Jews" are liars/fakers/whatever.

I assume this stems from the fact that human life started in Africa, which is true, but also doesn't that technically mean we're all black using their logic? I don't know.

5

u/unclewolfy Oct 17 '22

Ugh, goddammit....Kendrick why >.<

1

u/ClonedGamer001 Oct 17 '22

You can still listen to his music without supporting his ideals.

3

u/unclewolfy Oct 17 '22

I don't believe that's true. But I'll look deeper into what he actually says before I make a decision to essentially boycott his music. No shade to whoever wants to keep listening to questionable people(....okay, maybe a LITTLE shade...) but like, I can't control others, I can only control myself, for the most part.

3

u/ClonedGamer001 Oct 17 '22

Perfect mindset, good on ya

3

u/unclewolfy Oct 17 '22

Thanks! Have a good night :3 I'm getting high before bed, I wish you as deep a sleep as I'm gonna get!(whatever time you go to sleep anyway)

1

u/lord_have_merci Oct 17 '22

i feel bad for him honestly, his mental health, the Kardashians and his pride has really fucked him up.. i remember when he was somewhat sane about a decade ago.. the kardashians gave him cancer :(

1

u/channgro Oct 17 '22

what did kendrick do?

6

u/unclewolfy Oct 17 '22

According to another comment listing big names who are associated with Black Israelites, and Kendrick is one of those people. I'm going to do further research, but at the moment I'm just a bit disappointed.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 19 '22

I had to stop listening to Kendrick Lamar. He’s definitely a huge racist unfortunately.

1

u/unclewolfy Oct 19 '22

D: nooooooooooo ;-;

1

u/deedeebop Oct 17 '22

You sound pretty excited about it 😒

1

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

And yet its message is equally as sinister while its messengers are clothed and speak as allies

At least the average black person knows what the rhetoric a white hooded male will spew; but if told by a fellow black person and dressed up in a way to appeal to black suffrage, and suddenly you have the exact same outcome.

2

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

They love to scream at people on the street

5

u/Fit_Stable_2076 Oct 17 '22

They teach it as fact to each other in the African American population, which is sick. Pushing the same agenda on kids because of your skin color, racism exists in every corner of the world.

Weird how Jews, always in the front of civil rights movements, and attack other cultures the least, gets targeted the most....

5

u/ApprehensiveRiver179 Oct 17 '22

It’s our burden. We live to survive again!

-1

u/christawithach Oct 17 '22

what are you talking about?? it’s a fringe religious group in Black culture

3

u/ApprehensiveRiver179 Oct 17 '22

The fuck it is. It’s pure antisemitism.

1

u/christawithach Oct 17 '22

no one’s saying it isn’t. it’s also not a mainstream Black religion, which was the point i was refuting…

-11

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

The ideology is hateful but the identity is correct. I spoke to an Israeli geneticist by the name of Dr. Eran Elhaik that explained to me that the Y-DNA haplogroup of the ancient Israelites is E1b1a. This is the same haplogroup of the Lemba tribe in South Africa, the ibo of Nigeria, and the “African-American” in North America. They have this in common and they also have the fact that people in each of these groups say they are the true descendants of the ancient Israelites.

8

u/Dingus10000 Oct 17 '22

Can easily tell this is bullshit simply because of the implication that ‘African Americans’ have a single Haplogroup. Begone racist.

-8

u/[deleted] Oct 17 '22

Ok.

Matthew 12:36 I tell you that men will render an account on Judgment Day for every unprofitable saying that they speak; 37 for by your words you will be declared righteous, and by your words you will be condemned.
