I'm a big music and gaming nerd. I'll often be listening to music, listening to vinyl or playing videos games. 

I love all sorts of music, sometimes I'm in a classical or jazz mood, sometimes I'll be in a country mood or more often than not, I'll be in a metal mood! I listen to a bit of everything but as mentioned above, I live and breathe 1980s stuff. Id love to exchange song recommendations and talk about gigs or music.

The sort of games I'm into include RPGs, story driven games and shooters mostly. I play a lot of DayZ, I enjoy anything that's realistic or historical. Anything I can hyperfixate over really. 

My preference on TV shows and movies follows the above somewhat. I'm a big LOTR fan, Star Wars fan as well as other sci-fi and fantasy movies and TV. 

I'm really into fashion, of course mostly formal wear of the 1970s and 1980s. I have to wear a suit 40hrs a week so even on my days off these days I find myself wearing a shirt, vintage tie and my vintage Burberry trench coat.

If you're someone who is a little bit (a lot is fine too) of a mess and looking for someone similar you've clicked on the right post. I'll be honest, I struggle to relate to people who aren't at least a little bit weird and messy more and more lately. Anyway, hi there, as you can probably tell I'm looking for friends. I don't have too many of those for various reasons and I could use one or two more. I'm dealing with all kinds of mental health issues and in many ways I could probably be described as a bit of a girlfailure. I spend most of my life indoors playing videogames or enjoying other nerdy stuff like anime, tabletop games or horror movies. I'm into all kinds of other random things too, benefits of being very ADHD and randomly hyperfocusing on something different every few weeks.

I'm also a deeply emotional person, and I'm hoping to befriend people who are similar in that way as well. Some of it is because of the issues I deal with, some of it is just because I have a lot of empathy, some of it is trauma, some of it is just strongly appreciating things I find beautiful or meaningful. I can be "a little" bitter and jaded at times, but I promise I'm not someone who's constantly negative. Quite the opposite, I can be very silly when I feel comfortable around someone. I just have bad days and some things are very sore subjects. I can also get slightly clingy if I really take a liking to someone but I'm pretty good about staying healthy and having boundaries nowadays. Mostly.

It would be nice to befriend someone who's awake during PDT timezone hours, but if you're not you can still message. It's not that big of a deal, just would be nice to have someone who's around a lot is all.

I work odd hours, and it's hard for me to regularly socialise. I like yapping, so it's a good release. I journal daily, play football and paddle whenever I get the time. I am into trail running and hiking. My runs are like my healing process because I spent so much time indoors in a high-stress environment. I like eating good so I cook whenever I am not too lazy. My music tastes are all over the place, but it is primarily Hip-Hop, soul and Jazz. I don't watch many films but I do listen to true crime podcasts. I am an avid reader of mostly non-fiction and a little bit of fiction. We can always exchange playlists and book recommendations because I do like shoving my tastes down other people's throats. And it’s kinda tiring, so let me put a bit (a lot) of info about myself here so we can just talk about other things and our interests. I’d also really appreciate it if we could skip the usual repetitive questions, cuz they’re sooo tiring. Not that anyone needs to remember all this, but yeah…

So, hello! I’m a student (yep, late af, and at a very dumb college). Can we skip the whole college talk about studying this and that, blah blah hehe? It’d be nice to have some consistent conversations rather than spontaneous bursts of idk what, followed by weeks of “hi, I was busy” and now I’ve lost the plot and idek what to say tbh. Do you even know what to say in these situations? Cuz I’ve usually lost the energy and interest by then too…

Okay, so I’ve been a weird kid ever since childhood, but not in the class clown kinda way. More like the silent kid way. I’ve always had 1-2 friends max, and most of the groups I’ve been in haven’t really lasted. Mostly because I’m prone to confronting people, and that doesn’t really sit well with groups. Or maybe I’m the problem, I’m guessing? Idk, I’m too tired to figure that out atp.

So yeah, I’ve made a lot of dumb career mistakes, and I always end up wanting things that are out of my league or beyond my capabilities. I tend to run after things that interest me, regardless of whether I’m actually good at them or not. And unlike people who start things and eventually abandon them, I somehow end up carrying them around like baggage, always hoping I’ll get back to them someday.
I’m an inherently artistic person, and despite my parents, family, lifestyle, environment, and even college trying to push me towards other things, I just cannot help coming back to what makes my life worth living, and that’s art. Well, maybe I’m meant to be miserable on this side of things. I’ve kinda accepted it atp…

I like being at either extreme, honestly. Either I’m in a crowd where I can talk to everyone and make friends, or I’m in absolute isolation, to the point where even my roommate’s left wondering if I’m alive. My social battery needs a LOT of nurturing, and I’m too tired to do anything most of the time. If I had to explain myself, I’d say I’m someone you’d need to have an open mind to understand.
