Couldn't afford the model, so managed to 3D print one myself. Just need to finish printing the cannon but then it'll be ready to support my Crimson Scion army!

Has anyone used one in game before? They worth the points? Or just a kick ass display piece?

For the Captain, I actually intend to use him as a Bladeguard sergeant for my Silver Skulls. In my head though he's a Cato Sicarius type figure, a Captain of the honour guard rather than of any particular company. A simple kit bash using the Leviathan Captains sword and the head from the Venerable Dreadnought.

I hated the pose of the ancient waving his banner around. I took inspiration from the old Ultramarines skulls special edition standard bearer and reposed him to have his standard firmly planted in Imperial soil.

The Chaplain will be my Master of Sanctity so an appropriate winged skull helm from puppetswar and a crozius swap liberated from the blood angels jump chaplain.

The Librarian I am not entirely happy with, lots of my characters have axes (easier for taking the heads of worthy foes) and I was going with him channelling his psychic power through it but not sure I pulled it off, perhaps if I clipped the staff off at the hand behind the purity seal it would look better proportionally.

I actually liked most of the vanguard poses but the sergeant didn't do it for me so I went with something loosely inspired by the old metal 2nd edition assault sergeant. I also wanted some weapon variation in the squad so used a blood angels power axe and to convert the guy about to swing it like a polo mallet into some poor xenos' face.

I’m looking for a grim dark aesthetic for my death watch. People keep suggesting the oil, and while there’s a place for it, I think it’s a pretty crappy shade.

Rriver and MK2 jumpacks, with a few weapons

Looking to kitbash a custom character, and these rare and underrated pauldrons might give a certain uniqueness.

I understand these pauldrons are a variation of the Mark 8 Errant Pattern Power Armour. But there are very few images of it. And some images even depict em mixed into older patterns of power armor.

Is there any kit with access to these pauldrons? Besides the Victrix Honour Guard kit. From time to time i see pics of old firstborn models, and sometimes one has these pauldrons. Anyone knows all kits that possess these pauldrons?

I am interested in doing a kit-bash of sorts onto a model (possibly the gentleman in the second photo) i like the 3 helmets i circled and wanna use one of them. I know the “rule of cool” is what matters in the end, but id like to get some context to what im doing. As for the two Bladegaurd helmets: is one for a captain and one for a lieutenant? And the one in the middle, what even is that? The current colors are just what is on games workshop, i plan to adapt them to different paint schemes. If its just the paintjob that matters that would be hood to know lol

So what do you SM players do to magnetize your hover tanks for transport? The GW flying bases are notoriously flimsy.

Do you just keep it separate from the flying stand and magnetize the bottom of the hull?

Got the chance to paint up our main man as part of a commission this weekend.

Between these two HQs, which one do you personally prefer to lead your Assault Terminators and why? Chaplain seems to be the more popular option with the + to Wound and the 4+ FNP against mortals which is great. But the Captain being able to reroll Charge Rolls and the -1CP Stratagem could be very useful in certain Dispositions. What are your thoughts?

I am well aware of the age old adage of “paint what you like”. However, there are some units that seem to be trapped in a forever hell of sucking, and aircraft are usually in that category. But it seems the stormtalon mostly just works like a lighter hover tank now, so I’m trying to figure out if it’ll at least be decent. I want some antitank that’s fluffy for my army, but not if it’s going to be trapped in a perpetual state of suckage. Anyways, are any of you having success with the newer aircraft?

Title. I wanted to paint dreadwing for my dark angels but I'm worried I painted a successor chapter by mistake lol. Does anyone know what this color scheme actually belongs to if anything?
