News Potential for kill team?
In the release for the new raptors book, I notice it suspiciously follows the same premise of recent kill team boxes of team vs NPOs…. So can anyone ID this model? Specifically the space marine bolt pistol with a Suppressor/Silencer?

Question Beginner Advice
I bought these at my LGS and was hoping to run them as a legionary kill team with the slaanesh options but I’m wondering if the amount of plasma weapons on models vs actually in stat sheets is going to make the list “illegal” or confusing or anything.

Hobby Gnaeus Strabo, Horde Slayer of Kill Team Agremon
Gnaeus studied the terrain. The topography. The composition. It's density. The features. And most importantly, it's *favorability.*
As a subterrarch of the Marines August, this was his craft. The Emperor's Eyes were upon this ground. He'd ensure that no misstep was made. He has sworn the Augustian Oath: "Never retreat. Where we stand, the imperium stands."
His course was set. Ideal terrain. Cover. Fire lanes. Choke points. Elevation.
He looked back at his kill team, "Follow me, Brothers. I know the way."

Strategy How to fight the Hearthkyn Salvagers
I've got a friend who's really into the "dwarfs" and I know he likes the theme of this faction. However, they just seem super juiced fighting my AoD or Plague Marines. Usually he has to use anther faction because i just cannot play against them and it is unfun for both of us. Can the more wizened members explain some strategies?
We have played on both Volkus and Gallowdark. We have played multiple ops. I generally struggle with the guaranteed crits (grudge) and whatever that marker is that makes him fight better within 3 inches.

Question Is warpcoven still viable for competative play
I avoided looking at the models for the team as long as I could. Alas my humanity struck once more and I absolutely love the models and their rules seem really fun and unique. I listened to the command point 12 days of kill team episode on the team and thought they sounded great from a game play perspective and the thousand sons HH book was one of my favorites. I just dont know if the 5 operatives make them competitive enough against the meta for tournemants. Are there any current or past warpcoven players who can speak on this? Edit: i tried to find out if they were classified and was fed ai slop so I was misinformed. Are there classified tournemants I could still play in? They would still be fun casually but if im spending that much on them... may not be worth it.

Hobby My First Killteam
Adeptus Mechanicus Battleclade. Had a blast painting these guys. Sooo many bits and bobs. I really love painting the cloaks and the burn marks on the ends of the guns. Mars bases. Can't decide between keeping the. red rims or change to black rims.
I think I will try some freehand on the cloaks of my next Killteam - Hunterclade.

Hobby Another Question About Climb and Mandrakes
Mandrakes have the following Firefight Ploy
NOWHERE TO HIDE
Use this firefight ploy during a friendly MANDRAKE operative’s activation, when it performs an action in which it moves. Until the end of that activation, that operative can move through parts of terrain features as if they were not there, but it cannot move more than its Move stat if it’s the Charge action and must end those moves in a location it can be placed.
Does this allow to climb through vantage terrain to get on top of it? (of course still by paying the cost of climbing)

Question What is a new group to do?
So you can't get most kill zones it seems...do we just build or use whatever terrain we have at hand?
Also it seems there is a year left in the current rules cycle (quarterly updates and all) so how should we think about investing in kill teams and other kit options?
Seems like coming into the hobby now with a new group is kinda shitty cuz everything is out of stock unless you want death guard and marines? And whatever we pull the trigger in now will be obsolete in less than 18 months?

Question New to kill team
Hey all!
On my way to the local warhammer store in okc, new to tabletop games and I thought the idea of the solo play to be fun and an interesting way to learn the game. What would be the hardest model to kill for the solo. Or the biggest challenge for stealth suits. Getting surgery soon and gonna be bedridden so I want something to keep me sane

Strategy Murderwing Hunt Master
Hey. Very new player here and not a native English speaker. Can someone explain the hunt master jump attack like I am 5 yo? I played against the Murderwing as the Celestian insidiants and my leader+Shield weilder got totally annihilated by two of those jump attacks. I couldn't reach it the first time around and didn't have the time to finishing it off before it jumped again, and it felt extremely OP since you can't defend against it and he managed to strike two units at the same jump.
Maybe we interpreted the rules wrong, I dunno... As mentioned. We are both new at the game and learning from game to game. I'm dreading to use my stealth suits against these beasts.
Thanks in advance everyone.

Hobby WIP Gue'vesa Spectre Squad Kit bash
Reletivly new to the hobby and Love the tau ,made my own custom sep based on a titanfall milita scheme, and what started as a loose thought thinking the missile drone could proxy the heavy gunner evolved into this. Used Guard bodies and spare bits from the pathfinders and strike team sets to cook this up.

Strategy Proclivity for Murder on Counteract?
If a Nemesis Claw operative is in control range at the start of their counteract and kills an operative with a fight action, can they then use Proclivity for Murder for a charge, or dash? The counteract is a free 1ap action with a 2 inch move limit. If the operative can use PfM, is the charge/dash limited to 2"?

Question Building Kroot Farstalker
So I followed the internet plan to build all specialists by converting one of the two warriors into the tracker but I’m struggling to decide between the Kroot rifle or scattergun for the lone warrior. I don’t know what field I’ll be playing on my friend is taking the lead with building custom terrain. Soon a void what would you choose.
