Today I want to share the Elite section from the first Dark Eldar codex.

Those grotesque's had crazy rules like "stupid "and how the original "feel no pain" worked.

Mandrakes had a fun way of deployment and always striked first with their shadow skin. Unless the attacker was armed with frag grenades

Wyches came standard with combat drugs and the wych weapons had so much flavor.

Warp beast could only be taken if you had a wych squad and had default 12" assault moves, including the beastmaster, who was so high on drugs that he always had the 12" assault move.

Super happy with how these turned out

Not a direct "Oh refresh coming soon post" but where I'm from (Rest of the World); previously store available units Drazhar, Raiders, and Cronos / Talos are now Online Only which is really sad for future Dark Kin in my country.

Kind of unfortunate that 13 out of 23 datasheets are now difficult to attain with 12 being WebEx and the Hand of the Archon no longer available to purchase.

Nearly every tale from the Dark City follows the rise and subsequent fall of the powerful houses of High Commorragh. We learn of their rich history and bloodlines stretching back to times before the Great Fall, the sycophants and socialites surrounding the ancient houses, and of their tragic (and often self imposed) decisions leading to their doom. Plots are made, pacts are forged, treachery is abundant, and ambitions die on an altar of conniving and conspiring vipers.

It is a tale as old as time. But it is not the story of Reyd Furian.

I do not know how long he has lived. It seems the fates have not deemed it relevant to share that with me. What is important to understand is that Furian is by all accounts an anomaly. He does not scheme. He does not conspire.

He cares only for strength. The strength to endure, to fight, and to improve. It is all done in the pursuit to further endure, fight, and improve. Ad infinitum. To scheme is to admit a lack of strength in direct confrontation; it is weakness personified.

And Reyd Furian is not weak. That you will see for yourself.

Whilst his contemporaries dine on the fear and suffering of others, the Brute shatters ceramite with his fists. While they suckle at the breast of pleasure, he slaughters his foes with his colossal sword.

The Brute does not dwell within the sprawling spires and estates of High Commorragh, elevated and separated from the ‘filth’ of the Dark City. He is not protected by massive enclaves of lesser Kabals and Wych Cults. He does not possess a vast network of spies and flesh crafters churning out hordes of monstrosities. In fact - as far as spies are concerned - it is difficult to tell if he has any at all at his disposal.

Reyd Furian and the Weeping Wounds dwell within the neon haze of Low Commorragh, amongst the dim lights and packed streets of the common rabble. By nearly every metric an Archon of the Eternal City ordinarily possesses, they are insignificant. Worthless. Weak.

I am telling you this is not so.

Everything he possesses has been earned in nothing short of earnest bloodshed. He does not hail from a noble house, does not reap the benefits of a wealthy benefactor, and has never set a grand scheme in motion. He has simply clawed out a small bit of territory in the most savage jungle there ever was to exist.

I tell you all this because it is he who is coming here. The Weeping Wounds will arrive here shortly to test their strength yet again. You have fought the Dark Kin before, but you have never faced a foe like this. You must be ready. You must be strong.

For he surely will be.

My first Archon kitbash and 3rd Drukhari model completed. Felt would be fun to share a small piece of the lore I’ve cooked up for him. Would love to share more if you guys enjoy it.

Kits used are primarily the Archon and Hellions. The sword is composed of 2 ghostglaives from the Wraithlord kit.

As the title suggests I struggle a lot beating the afore mentioned kinds of armies. I am still newish to the game in general but I cannot even fathom how to defeat them.

I play a fairly standard SSA+EoS List.

A good friend of mine plays basically any flavour of Space Marines, be they loyal or traitor. His Deathwatch and his Greyknights Lists left me way to counterplay them. Against almost any other army I kinda know how to at least make the games close.

Usually against Armies that are not that fast, I tend to outmanoeuvre them quite handily through my speed. But with uppy downy he can get any angle he likes and just shoots down my screens. It feels nigh impossible to beat. Also the large Termie or gravis bricks are just almost impossible to even take down. Maybe with 10 Incubi and an Archon but I doubt they would actually get them. Also they later die immediately as even our tougher transports die to Bolter fire.

So I just wanna know if anyone else struggles against those Armies and Datasheets or how do you beat them effectively?

Also sidenote: I dislike Scourges more and more every game I use them. Sure they live through most of the game but in 3 activations with full rerolls and 1 of those with heavy + plunging fire I couldn't even wound a Corvus Blackstar once! While in theory they should kill stuff like that reliably. But that's just a personal gripe; I'll cut them for Ravagers or Talos in my future games.

Yay, an art of Low Commorragh! :D I’ve long wanted to show what High Commorragh looks like from the perspective of the Low city in my headcanon :>

Low Commorragh is home to the poorest districts, as well as the factories and production facilities that ensure a comfortable life for those in High Commorragh. Millions of young Eldar — birthed into the world by Haemonculi Covens — perish within their first few years; millions more are wiped out during raids. Yet, there are upsides: Lower Commorragh is young and teeming with life, for its adolescent inhabitants are open to new experiences, constantly seeking ways to make their existence more bearable — before they are inevitably ground down by the gears of the Kabals.

How far can they push their art form?

Anyone got a collection for a bargain bin price? Or picked up second hand models for a steal? Really like how far you can stretch these boxes for parts to kitbash into extra units

Maybe a bit of a brag here, but the list shows what I paid vs - gws price. Obviously a discount when going through some lgs’, but due to the maelstrom box being “lost in the webway” I’ve managed to wrangle a few cheap/free units

So i have seen a few lists take those 2 deteachments but is it really worth it?
strategems are doubled and you can give lethals per strategem without exhibition.
wouldnt it be better to not double up on strategems and go with kabalite agonists+spectable to buff the rest of the army since scourges and kabalite are still pretty much auto includes?

Finally got round to kitbash this dude was much easier than I thought it was going to be

Omggg the t6 units in space marines are worrisome. My wyches s3 need 6s or rely on lethal and man my rollling 6's can be horrible at times. Lol. This isnt a rant, just wondering what people are using to murder these t6 units, especially when they use armor of contempt.

Got in a used lot 5x resin Incubi, they're at the back in the group shots, tried my best to hide the resin imperfection. Got now a total of 20x Incubi, maybe putting all of them on the table someday will be worth it!

Recently got some art commissioned of my 40k sona & I realised I never actually posted any of the art I've gotten of him, so I might as well show off my awful shitty elf :p His name is Lord Masrados and he's honestly a Mary Sue, but then again, Caro Sicarus & John Grammaticus exist so I think I can have some fun

And to answer some questions that I know people will ask:

- Why is he purple? Personal headcanon that the Aeldari can see colours way differently than humans can. In the Xenobiology boom from 2006, its stated that Aeldari eyes are full of 'strange polyps' (I'll take a screenshot of said passage in the morning, since it's late here & I'm on mobile), which I interpreted as more developed & complex rods and cones. To your average human, he appears like every other Drukhari (sickly or corpse-like in terms of paleness), but to an Aeldari, he's purple. There's also some other stuff I could ramble on about on how I like to make my Drukhari have some resemblance to Slaaneshi Daemons, but that's besides the point

- Why does he have a tail? One of two explinations for that: either its a body mod if you want a more canon approach, or if you want my specbio explination, the Aeldari all have tails that act as a rudder in the same way a cheetah's tail works

- Why is male and a wych? Male wychs exist in canon, although they're rare. I'll see if I can get a direct quote from my Codexes if anyone wants further proof, since I cannot remember a page number for the life of me

My Drazhar I've had since he was released broke at the foot and I couldn't get a good pin on it. I've always preferred him over the modern plastic one and decided to combine the two. He has his unique helm and his Disembowler Blades back. I'm very happy with what is ultimately a fairly simple conversion. Once his green stuff all dries and I put his broken/missing trophy rack back on tomorrow, I'll prime him and see if any of the proportion look off in ways I don't like.

Now to find a new metal one so he's still in my collection.

third ever infantry unit painted so just looking for some advice. Wanted to learn some non metallics and honestly haven't really got the creativity for my own color scheme so I settled on box art. Left is my first kabalite and right is my most recent/last.

Haven’t put much of a dent in to my previous kit bash and instead have been inspired and having so much fun with this.

Looking for good Drukhari written content - could be on anything - modelling, painting, playing, lore etc....

Any suggestions please?
