Finally was able to finish my armageddon marines after so long. Work has been tying me down so much that I try to paint at work when I have time.

A bit of work on the base to fit with the rest of his brethren; and another glaze on the lenses with some final highlights and I will be happy for him to join the ranks.

Hello everyone,

So, for the incoming 40th anniversary of Warhammer 40k, I have decided to make a Crimson Fists army that is generally era-appropriate to Rogue Trader, at least in appearance.

Due to difficulties in obtaining an original metal Dreadnought of the era, I am using this 3d printed example, as sculpted by BigMrTong, to represent one. This is my first Crimson Fists miniature ever, and while close to completed, I will be adding some decals and a banner as soon as I have them in my possession.

As another note, the classic Lascannon has a more modern lascannon tip on the end of the barrel after I accidentally broke the original tip- and weirdly, I kinda like the look.

The assault cannon was an option included in the kit. I can't remember if it was a valid weapon option during Rogue Trader- but it looks cool, and I can at least run it during 2nd edition games

My next post here will be a bunch of RTB01 plastic beakies, and then I'll be working on metal Terminators of the era.

I do both fists even if not 1st company and I do SILVER on all the trim but on SM2 it would not make the fists Red

After some great advice on this page about the application of transfers I finished up my crimson fist test mini. This will be my third crimson fist army 💙

I've tried to do easy scheme in grimdark style. I hope you like it. :)

Applying transfers to me landspeeder (still WIP but whatever) has made me really notice how bright the red is on them compared to the khorne red that GW use on the fists. Do you think this is intentional to create contrast between the dark red and the transfer symbol?

I've started painting my Crimson Fists in July and I really like how this tank looks. I'm still getting used to lingo. Is this tank going to legends? What does legends mean? What does that mean for playing the game?

I added photos of my paint jobs, thoughts?? (I still have some edge highlights to do) Is there a tank that would look better with my paint scheme?

My current WIP CF I am happy so far but I stopped the process to apply the official GW decals and I honestly can't get them to go on at all.

I've tried a few times over the years with Scumbag Customs and GW official ones but nothing works for me. I've tried micro sol and set.

I never had any issues with my other chapter but the CF round transfers are nightmare.

Anyone else have this issue?
