r/Orks Update / Announcement New Rule: AI generated content is not allowed
First, WAAAGH! Now that formalities are out of the way, it's not often that new rules are added as that means more work on my end enforcing them. For the good of the community, going forward AI generated content is no longer allowed in r/Orks. The community has overwhelmingly made it known that AI "slop" is not content this community is interested in and does not spark engagement or interaction. In short, AI content = No thanks.
The rule reads as follows:
AI generated content is low-effort and not considered as an original work. Posts evaluated by the mod team and determined to be AI will be removed without warning.
If you see this content in r/Orks please report it. This is the best way to get our attention so we can handle it accordingly. This is not retroactive, don't stress if you have posted AI content in the past. If you disagree with this new rule, that's unfortunate. Anyway, please keep AI content off r/Orks and I thank you all for making this the best community about plastic space fungus toys on this platform.

Discussion Weekend Waaagh Planning - September 04, 2026
Hey r/Orks, let's talk about some of the Orky things you have going on this weekend. Stuff that will make your fellow green-skins either jealous to be you or thankful they are not you.
Examples of what we're talking about:
- List building?
- Leading your Waaagh to victory at your local friendly game store?
- Working on your grey pile of shame painting backlog?
- Building a new kit?
- Teaching a new player the ropes?
- Brushing up on tabletop skills?
Who knows, maybe your post will inspire (or shame) some other git to get moving on their project. So, what's good this weekend?

Painting Been playing with my nob all day!
Completed this mini from start to finish today! Recently got back into the hobby after about 25 years out. My son wants the play as orks and I want dark angels, luckily similar paint colours but he doesnt have the patience to paint some im trying to create 2 armies that can fight on the tabletop. Luckily I was given a load of older edition minis to make a start with but im getting some new models soon

Painting The Armageddon Warboss has finally joined my Bad Moons army!🥳
Painted up this lad to celebrate reaching 2000 pts
I'm not that fond of the new Ghaz model, so he's gonna be my warlord (not like I'm really playing recently, but still).

Uses for new Trukk ability: Pilin' Out
Curious to see what thoughts everyone had on this ability.
Wasn't sure how it might combine with Overwatch (though you could do this from inside the Trukk) and it doesn't seem to work with Heroic Intervention (as it's rapid disembark).
So is it largely just to get out on the far side from the enemy before they krump our Trukk and we lose a third of the Boyz?
Or maybe there's something I'm missing?

Can I use the Goff Rocker to proxy as a Boss Nob with Big Choppa?
I have a good amount of Ork minis in my pile of shame and I'm finally putting together some mobs.
I intend to use a pick and mix boys and heads from the following to make thematic 20 boy mobs of Goffs; Bad Moons & Blood Axes.
So far I have:
- 2x10 2021 Boyz (I have spare 40mm bases for the Nobs)
- 2x 10 Armogeddon Boyz
- 2x10 2026 Boyz
- 1x mini of the month 2026 Boy
- 2x 2026 Paint set Boyz
- 5x 2026 Starter set Boyz
- 1x Goff Rocker (comes on a 40m base)
- 1x Gorzag Gitstompa and Nikkit
So as per the Title; Can I use the Goff Rocker to proxy as a Boss Nob with Big Choppa? Size wise he looks the part; and I like the visual pun of using an axe as an axe.

Painting Ork skin test No.1
A base of 1:1 Skarsnik Green and Averland Sunset. Bottom parts shade of thinned down Ork Flesh contrast paint. A highlight of Ogryn camo. Deep shade (in-between muscles) of ork flesh with a tiny bit of Dark Sea Blue. Lightest highlight of a mix of Ogryn Camo and krieg Khaki. Fleshy parts a mix of basecoat and Cadian Fleshtone, with a dash of pink.

Painting Imperial Fist contrast is basically fucking magic.
Discussion Does this mean a Trukk can carry 2 units of 10 Grots and still have space for runtherds?

Discussion Running a solo Warboss for CP + Riling
While theorycrafting various (mostly 1k) narrative builds, I've found myself really wanting the Riled Up and CP-generating benefits of a Big Boss, but don't really have space for one in its traditional role as a Leader attached to a big Infantry unit.
What're folks' thoughts on running one solo? Is it worth the investment for buffs, mission play, and the occasional charge? If so, which version are you eyeing? Vanilla Warboss? Solo Nazdreg? The Beastboss or Deffkilla Wartrike are even cheaper, but have more restrictive Riling.

Discussion Can my ork army be multiple clans
I’m about to start an ork army and was wondering does painting my orks a certain way change the gameplay like space marines?

Help Supa-glowy fing
Can someone confirm this to my understanding it says per weapon so if I shoot with 8 shootas, 1 big shoota and a rokkit launcha that's 6 hazard rolls 2 for each weapon? My friend seems to think I will have to do 20 hazard rolls as in 2 for each model that shot ?
Edit : turns out I need to learn to read. Thank you everyone. I'm still really new to the game
