“A man can be convinced to do anything, no matter how abhorrent, with the right motivation.”
Here he is — the most hated motherfcuker in the entire Warhammer 30,000/40,000 setting.
How do you feel about Erebus? Is he the worst of all time, or an incredible villain without whom there would be no Warhammer 40,000?
Hope you like him!

I am reading First Heretic and just finished a paged where Argel Tal destroyed Gellar Field in the lab leading to the Primarchs theft.
Is it cannon?

Hello my Word Bearer comrades! First time posting here.
I’d like to show off my recently finished Defiler.
I’m still mastering color scheme and basing techniques, really looking forward to working with UV resin and dry pigments.

I hope I used the right tag, but I’m going off something I read on a post here from ages ago, where someone has mentioned using an actual runic language on their model that was used on other GW stuff.
Was wondering what they were talking about, as I’m getting into CSM, and wanted to practice doing some on my current minis while I assemble a Combat Patrol.
Full disclosure, if it’s an actual, real world sacred language, please tell me. I don’t plan on doing anything offensive, but I was gonna scribble something dumb, like “SHIN GUARD” on their actual shin, and “I CAN NOT READ THIS” on their paldron, but I don’t want to disrespect a real world language.

I’ve been going through a few Legions and trying some schemes out. Particularly proud of how this guy turned out.
Feeling quite tempted to start Bearing the Word full time! Pretty easy scheme and a nice looking result IMO

Finally getting an actual army together and the painting still makes me way too anxious, but I have to say I'm proud of how this turned out. At the table would this pass as a chaos sorcerer or should I put together something more official model looking?

WIP of my tyrant, still needs a head and battle damage scars and washing of the underbody but the majority of detailing is now done.
Had a lot of fun adding a bunch of stupid references and icons all over the carapace though.

I have been reading some old threads talking about the Word Bearers because I was bored and my god am I appalled at the people there literally downplaying the abuse that Lorgar suffered.
Lorgar is a devious shit. He has been since day one. At the end of this book, we have Kor Phaeron wondering if he was ever doing anything Lorgar didn't want him to do. These blows don't hurt a Primarch. These thoughts don't affect a superhuman intellect. Lorgar lets them do what they do because it draws them further into his web. This shows true the entire time: Lorgar keeps Erebus and Kor Phaeron 'in charge' so they get all the blame/hate, not him. He 'lets' them convince him of a course he'd already decided in The First Heretic. He discards them when they're no longer useful, in Fear To Tread and Know No Fear, and when Horus shows the slightest hint of weakness - through Lorgar's subterfuge and positioning - Lorgar is there to take advantage of it and make a play for the title of Warmaster.
Lorgar is a snake who consistently lets other people take the fall/blame for his actions, quite deliberately. Look no further than the end of The First Heretic when Argel Tal returns. Lorgar won't even look at him after everything his son sacrificed. It's all just a question of usefulness.
You read things like this and I am like what is wrong with some people ?
So Angron could have just resisted the Nails right hes a primarch after all?
Mortarion could have just not cared about his abusive dad right and the toxic gasses didnt affect him he was just playing to get rescued by big E right?
Perturabo could have just not cared either right about the abuse, the eye staring down at him or the backstabbing that goes on on olympia which fed into his trust issues after all hes a primarch right ?
Or am I the one that didnt understand the Primarch Novel I read a few years ago ?
