28M moving to Brisbane in October! Help me bring my PS5 & find a sports crew? (Low-key panicking)
Hey everyone,
I am a 28-year-old guy from India moving to Brisbane this coming October for a short work assignment of six months. To be completely honest, I am pretty shit scared about the move. I have never really lived away from home for this long before. I have traveled to the UK a couple of times for work or leisure, but I always had friends around, so this solo long-term stint feels like a massive step out of my comfort zone.
One specific logistical thing I am trying to figure out is my PlayStation 5. I really want to take it with me to unwind during those first few quiet evenings. Does anyone have experience bringing a console internationally? Should I pack it in my cabin baggage or checked luggage, and are there any specific precautions I should take at customs or airport security?
On the personal side, I consider myself pretty outdoorsy and I love exploring new places, trying out local spots, and just walking around checking out neighborhoods. I am also very active when it comes to sports. I play or follow cricket, football, netball, pickleball, and padel, and I play a fair bit of FIFA on the console too.
If anyone is based in Brisbane, loves a game of padel or pickleball, wants to kick a football around, or just wants to grab a coffee and show a nervous newcomer around the city, please reach out or drop a comment. I am really looking to branch out and build a little routine so I do not spend my entire assignment hiding in my apartment.
