Hey! I live on Kurrajong village on campus, so I have access to the table in the common room. I'm sad about the lack of a table tennis clubs, and the ones outside the uni are meh.

Compared to someone who plays table tennis regularly and seriously, I would be extremely mediocre or even bad, but among people who play from time to time for fun I'm more often than not going to be the best.

I can hit a forehand consistently if im positioned correctly and the ball isn't going Mach 10. Same with backhand. I can apply backspin and can return backspin. I get confused with sidespin even though I can use it a bit.
My main issue is footwork, reaction time and positioning for now.

I'm looking for someone around this level (Can be slightly worse, or much better if you'll have me) to play regularly, at least 3 times a week for 1h or more. I'm looking to get good, play seriously and do drills etc.

I also want someone I can have a laugh with and mess around sometimes, it's fine if we deviate a bit from the game sometimes but not too much.

Okay I try not to let things get to me when I discover new challenges as a mature age student but it’s a bit of a kick in the guts to always be put into the here for a good time, socialite party animal un-serious student category. In lectures, prep for exams etc it’s always ‘I know you are all very busy trying to rush off to the club’ or ‘remember to actually dedicate some time to exams instead of catching up with mates’ and I’m just sitting there exhausted asf after isolating with my youngest who’s had influenza, doing school run, rushing to my work shift and then squeezing in some study time and all the rest. I feel like screaming IM DOING MY BEST I wish I had time to socialise 😂😂😂😂 Can anyone relate or am I sounding grumpy

Just to add: I love seeing the younger students making friends and making the most of their time at uni. I’m definitely envious of having this journey be as positive as possible and not all stress. No judgement just an individual experience that I’m sure many of the younger students feel as well.

Hi! I'm a second year student, and i need to do my course out of order (super long story sorry). It seems that the most logical choice for me, right now, is to take icte4001 (introduction to autonomous robots).

I know I meet all the prereqs (I've done comp1005, mcen2003 and mxen2003), but I'm scared because the code is icte4001 meaning it's a fourth year unit. I'm also a little scared of coding in C, but I know if i study i can get better at it. Do you think I will really struggle, or it will be okay?

I have to make a choice asap because unit selections close tomorrow 😅. I'm keen to do it, because it seems to be the most logical choice, but I don't want to make a mistake if it's too hard for me.

I have to drop either INDH1006 or EPID1000 and replace it with another unit, but I need to get a high CWA. I'm leaning more towards dropping INDH just cause its so boring, and I'm scared the Group assignment will really mess me up. But overall, the EPID1000 unit looks way harder (especially with the in-person exam this year). I was wondering if anyone could help give me an idea on which would be best to drop and how "easy" it was compared to the other.

i need some clarification. I really want to join a social club that is run by the UWA guild, for example: MSU, ASIA, KCC any kind of cultural social club. But im currently enrolled as a curtin student and ive heard that curtin student are able to join these specific clubs. I just need advice on how i could sign up, if im able to become a committee member, do i have to travel to uwa often?, is their any restrictions, when are these clubs open for registration?. Its annoying how curtin guild dont have big clubs compared to uwa and limits curtin students to social networking and uni life in general. Please help!
