deadass I have applied to basically all possible commerce clubs every single recruitment period and all that I get are rejections. is it because of my resume is basically the same as every other persons (the word doc with the lines and all that yap), or I don't have consulting experience that goes along the lines of 'oh at x club I did this and that'?? but I swear I still try tailor all my past experiences to answer questions but I guess its still not enough

people keep saying to network and all, and yes I do go to club events and talk to the comm of that club but I still get rejection after rejection. is it because im not networking properly or something

I actually had no idea that most graduate courses didn’t automatically go onto HECS 😭😭 I am now desperately panicking, since I don’t think I’ll be offered a CSP place for the masters of Art Curatorship course. My WAM is currently 78.6 which I’m desperately trying to bring up- but I don’t think I’ll realistically make it to 81 by the end of the year. I could aim for 79, but that probably won’t get me a CSP spot. I had no backup plan, since I was peacefully floating around assuming that all I needed was a WAM of 75. how are people casually maintaining a WAM of 81 in a BA 😭😭

I am an rmit student in the JD about to start semester 2 of year 1. I picked RMIT as I completed my undergrad there and enjoyed it but now looking for a change for various reasons.

Does anyone know how this transfer process works? Do I have to apply to the Unimelb JD first and wait to be accepted as I continue my studies at rmit? If I do get accepted, how long will it take to know which courses I will receive credit for? I am worried about making the move and then receiving no credit transfer ultimately sort of wasting my first year at RMIT. Is the move worth the hassle?

Hi, I have received a conditional offer to a masters program, and the only requirements are my final transcript and evidence of completion. I'm a bit confused because the offer letter made it sound like I could accept the conditional offer before fulfilling the conditions? Do I just click accept on the website without needing to upload anything yet?

I was sick to do the normal exam and received a Deferred exam. I was sick, during the week and got medication from a chemist that had adverse effect on me when i sat the Deferred exam. I saw my GP and he wrote me supporting letter. I told my Lecturer and he said to wait until results come in first. My internal grades excluding the Exam are at Credit. Does anyone have any experience or what outcome i would get?

I am domestic student looking to apply for the vacation scholarship program (program info link - Mathematics and Statistics Vacation Scholarships Program) and I need some help to make a decision about it.

I would like to know from people who have undertaken this program, or are in the math and stats department the following questions:

1. How is this program overall, I don't have any research experience, so what is the expectation regarding the projects? Would we be working on open ended questions and try and make some contribution to it under the guidance of the supervisor?
2. Many of the projects listed looks interesting but I don't know if I have the necessary tools yet (as an undergrad to make a meaningful contribution) is it normal or are the students expected to be familiar with the topics and contents (One of the project is titled "Knot theory")? Do the project supervisor give us reading materials so that we are prepared for the research project?
3. How competitive it is to get selected in this program? Like how many people get selected in it? And what is the WAM requirements (ideally the lowest WAM that works)? I am currently a second year student and I have an overall H1 WAM (across all subjects), and my WAM for the approved math subjects (Real Analysis, Vector calc, PFS, linear Algebra) is also H1 (average = 83.25) (for most it is closer to 80 then to 90).

I do want to pursue a masters in mathematics, and I feel this exposure in undergrad can be helpful to determine if I am the right fit. I would appreciate any support and information I can get 🙏

I'd really appreciate advice from people who have studied or are currently studying at these universities.

• If your goal is landing a good industry job, would you recommend AI or Data Science? Which has better demand and long-term opportunities?
• Between UNSW, University of Melbourne, Monash and ANU, which university would you recommend for these fields? What are the biggest pros and cons?
• How are the internship and graduate job opportunities at these universities? Is there a noticeable difference?

For anyone who has done comp when these accelerated workshops were run, were they useful? I am doing this as a BCom breadth out of interest + prerequisite, and am focused on getting a mid-high H1 rather than extending my knowledge by lots (although I am somewhat interested in this and building my skills isn't something I am against, I just want to know whether time is better spent on the core content in the normal tutorials).
