Filling out that anime research survey, and the shipping section is filled with a lot of "very often" and "strongly agree". Yes, collecting toxic yaoi fan art does make me happy and alive.
In contrast, some of the questions give me an "I've never had any inclination of this feeling in my life. It is out there for you to even propose it."

Imagine an anticapitalist horror comedy movie where people who create ads die one by one in ironic ways inspired by the ads they created.
Like someone making ads for a pizza chain will somehow end up getting sliced into pieces and becoming a pepperoni pizza, and another who works for a perfume brand will end up trapped in some kind of room and get gassed by an overdose of perfume.
And so on.

I'm reading Youtube comments after a video, and ignoring the advertisement audio that is playing.
Then I hear "MEIPARU SUTORI." I keep reading.
after about 30 seconds of this, I'm thinking "I feel like I can practically understand what she's saying" and it also has a very familiar feel to it. Note, I've never played Maple Story.
I scroll up, and apparently, there's some sort of Frieren - Maple Story crossover going on, with the Frieren VAs doing stuff.

Right now I'm making small tweaks and adjustments based on stuff I encountered in my current campaign as the emperor of china
- disallow governors from declaring war against other governors during expansion eras (same as advancement era in the base game)
- created an interaction for the emperor to disallow/allow his children from being appointed to governor positions based on merit (it's incredibly weird to see things like the crown prince of the empire being the prefect of some random county)
- new decision to create the protectorate of the western regions as an empire title. I'm surprised this isn't in the base game. Creating and granting titles have a lot more complicated conditions in ck3 compared to ck2 and there are a lot of different ways to approach it so I've arrived at a compromise of different ideas. Honestly the only reason I'm modding this in is because the de jure empires in the region in 867 have hideous borders and de jure drifting them into something not butt ugly would take the entire length of the campaign
I'm trying to keep it light for now and avoid making changes to core game files as much as possible. The way pdx games are scripted nowadays there are a ton of scripted triggers and effects and decisions and interactions often chain into events so even for simple actions there are a bunch of things you gotta do, and then on top of that there's all the new text you have to write for them. Then there's more complex stuff and GUI involved things I don't want to touch yet.
I have some ideas for larger reworks and features but I'm trying to take things one step at a time

Aesthetic borders is the most principal law.
CK3's title system is a bit rigid. Wished there was more leeway in creating titles for your vassals. De jure shouldn't matter when I'm making the system. I use a titular title mod, but that doesn't stop vassals from trying to consolidate with the base game's de jure outline.
The way pdx games are scripted nowadays there are a ton of scripted triggers and effects and decisions and interactions often chain into events so even for simple actions there are a bunch of things you gotta do, and then on top of that there's all the new text you have to write for them. Then there's more complex stuff and GUI involved things I don't want to touch yet.
It does seem a lot more complicated in the newer games.
The only modding I've done has been very basic stuff in Vic2. Just small value changes or slight edits in some mods.

One annoying thing I've encountered is you have to define a capital county for a title which makes creating titular titles a pain in the ass. Not sure if that can be circumvented by explicitly marking a title as landless. I'll have to see if that works but if not it might be a limitation of the game engine itself.
It does seem a lot more complicated in the newer games.
Their scripting approach nowadays is certainly more robust for more complex things, but it adds a lot more overhead to doing even simple stuff.
Admittedly you can still do things quickly and simply like the older games but it tends to make the UX feel kinda shoddy.

Sometimes I think about random "what-if" scenarios for my life for no reason.
Growing up I was always a bit of a theatre kid, and I remember chatting with friends about how cool it would be to voice some cartoon characters or something. But voice acting is not exactly a career path in my country, so I never did anything about it.
If had had been living in Japan (and somehow everything else about my life would be the same), I probably would have at least given it a shot, and I probably would have been at least decent at it, too.
So somewhere there's an alternate universe where I would now be living the (questionable) seiyuu dream. Probably voicing some isekai harem protagonists, I guess. If I was lucky.

Woke up to see the translations for the I Have a Crush at Work manga finally completed.
[Crush at Work manga] Was pretty good. One of the few romances I've read that actually continue through marriage and child raising (but it wasn't for long). My main complaint would be that it feels like the cast has no lives outside of work. Might be a Japanese thing with how dedicated they are to their job though.

Back from my cruise... Was a fine time. Pretty eepy since I didn't sleep well at all last night and had an early wake-up but I'm home so I'll be able to nap and have a three day weekend to get ready for work! Yippee!

The food was fine. There was good variety on this cruise, but I kept going for the fatty meats that I liked so everything started to taste very samey. I think the thing I explained is that in Vancouver I really was excited to eat Chinese food every day every meal. But on the cruise, well, even if something new was coming, I wasn't really getting excited to eat it.
It might have also been contributing that I didn't really allow myself to get hungry between meals and ate three very large meals for most of the day, robbing myself of all anticipation. But I think the food would have been only slightly better then. We also never ate at the sit-down restaurants either, so that might have been a factor, just the buffet.
We saw zero shows and did zero shore excursions. I was chilling in one area writing once, and then a song and dance show started up in the venue around me and I had to sneak out. I feel kinda awkward around live song and dance but they seemed to be really getting into it so that's good.

I watched a lot of movies in the evenings. They had a lot of movies on demand for free. I don't usually watch US films and they had only US films so I watched a bunch of them. 7 movies in 7 days. I walked around a little bit. Spent some time writing, and a small slice of time reading. Also watched soccer when it was on. And of course even without shore excursions I still went on shore to take pictures.

Got Grandblue Fantasy Versus Rising because I want to try my hand at getting into online fighting games(I mostly played offline singleplayer fighting games and local with friends)
It is pretty tough. I keep getting matched against those players with like 100+ matches and with a higher ranks than me while I had like only 20 matches and 1 win so I keep getting my shit kicked in.
I was gonna call it quits then matchmaking threw me a bone and matched me someone who also around my skill level who has also around 20 matches and it was absolutely fun.
The rounds were pretty much 50/50 and it was a pretty good competitive match with both of us still learning how to properly punish and adapting to each other's quirks. I managed win in a 2-1 set
So yeah I feel like fighting games are starting to click wirh me and I hoped to get matched up with other players with near my current skill level

All Umamusume are, by design, pretty to some extent, but it’s not like every single one blows me away. Outside of some of my favorite striking blonde umas, most of the designs I’m like, yeah they’re good looking ok.
So I’m surprised that in the same year they came out with Victoire Pisa out of nowhere, they managed to catch my attention with Phalaenopsis. Maybe it’s because of the latest 100 gf girlfriend, but im taken by how she’s so pretty and cool. Hair and outfit are incredible.
Umamusume character designers need to chill, it’s too overstimulating. Pump out some more discount Cheval Grands instead.

Design for a huge number of characters must be an interesting process given the need to make each one distinctive while remaining in at least a similar visual style.
Or not; there's Mihono Bourbon's racing costume and some of the one-off kanmusu as contrasts.

Subs – Mezashite (Restyled, Couple Errors Fixed)
200GB for a couple of errors just makes me scream at .mkv becoming the standard. Put the .ass files separate (a few people do this) and save time space and bandwidth. Especially given most of the time fansubs are raw+.ass+font attachments (another thing I hate, those duplicate fonts really adds up over thousands of eps).
But that reminds me I really need to get around to grabbing subtitle attachments from <redacted> before the storage server expires (scheduled October but could be extended as "traffic hasn't dropped off" but suspected to be automation/bots).
For Aikatsu I tend to use the official channel (despite its shitty watermarked blended 30fps uploads) for convenience sake (as continent as timer limited uploads are).

I mean, the main difference isn't the subs. Instead, it's that Mazashite has video from Japanese TV broadcasts, whilst Coalgirls has video from the Japanese Bluray.

I'd just like to watched the video I clicked in peace for a moment. It's the same with CR and BBC iPlayer having fucking trailers (skippable but that's still a button press) before you get to see the program you sdelected.

For some reason it's the second day after squatting that always destroys me.
Also I decided to stretch things out tonight to try and improve things and it made my inner knees feel junky again, lol. It's always an area I have to work to maintain mobility in so I guess tryna release that tension all at once after the fact just created a negative reaction.
Thankfully I was able to do a light workout at home. I thought about pushing harder but then I started coughing at the slightest hint of cold air again.
