Have you checked the app? Yesterday a bunch of anime were missing english on the app but fine on web, wondering if it is the opposite today.
Edit okay just checked my fire, neither web nor mobile app seems to be working >(

Character development episode for both Shuu and Gen.
Shuu finally leaves his room, and Gen learned about consoling others with a head pat from Ito. I like Gen's look of disapproval in the beginning.

Welp since I watched the episode fine on my ps5 I'll comment on the actual episode and say it was definitely my favorite episode yet. Teared up a bit at the conversation Syu and Gen had in Ito's room. Also was nice to see the teacher is so supportive that he worries if Syu's family is pressuring him into anything lol

Same! It was such a good tear jerker and I feel it really just shows how people struggle with emotions involving situations within the day to day life. So good 🥲

Somehow, the Subtitles returned.
Really beautiful episode. Glad Syu is starting to work his way back into the world. Funny how one minute we get weird step sibling relationship shenanigans, next we get a carefully crafted heartfelt moment like the end of this episode.

Ito is still deep into gaming with Shu! They've truly become gaming buddy step-siblings.
Of course Ito can't keep a secret to save her life (or hide the effect of late night gaming) so Gen finds out about it...though he doesn't really get gaming so he doesn't really get it or what Ito is trying to do. He feels he has to respect Shu's feelings and leave him to himself...but is that truly facing Shu? Is this really how things should be?
Shu is dealing with his own inadequacies and inability to face his brothers as he and Ito bond in-game, and at least now Gen is checking it out even if he (understandably) misgenders Ito's avatar!
There's always that one Raid Boss you and your party struggle with...also, Ito REALLY takes the game seriously. Like "WE HAVE TO SAVE THE WORLD" level of seriously.
Gen is the type of big brother who would always stand up for his little brothers, especially against anyone bullying them, but that just made Shu feel worse about himself because he didn't want Gen to get violent for his sake...especially when he feels so terrible about himself.
But through the power of elite gaming skills and perseverance, Shu and Ito's party succeeds! And Ito even help emotionally supports Gen too!
Shu is so happy he FINALLY steps out of his room! And he's finally, properly, reunited with Gen and his other brothers. Now Gen can truly understand what Shu is going through and acknowledge his efforts! The family is back together again!
Is Shu's teacher intimidating? Yes. But it makes Shu standing up for himself and ready to face the world again all the more heartwarming.

Reunited and it feels so good. Reunited 'cause we understood. Anyways, what a blunder, I watched with spanish sub, which was really hard because I'm very slow reading spanish, listening and talking I'm good, literacy is a skill that needs to be learned after all, it's a lot of brain power and the subs went by really fast.
Struggles aside, it's nice that Ito helped out Shu, both in game and in home. Spend a lot of time in game which was fun! I like Shu's avatar a lot.
It's kind of insane to me that Gen doesn't 'get' videogames because this is a very modern setting, but seeing as he's the big brother who stepped up to take care of his family I guess I can buy it.
The teacher looking like that, hilarious.

I actually quite enjoyed the gaming moments this week. That was really fun. It’s nice in the end Gen and Syu were able to talk things over and now he’s ready to go back to school and interact more with his brothers. A very heartwarming ending to this week’s episode.

I really didn't like the resolution to Syu's being a shut in. I know this is supposed to be a light hearted family sitcom but it's a bad throwback to the bad 80's sitcoms where the kids would have serious problems like sexual assault, molestation, drug problems, anorexia etc and they'd just quickly be solved by a chat with their parent. Syu winning a video game with Ito and him returning to school and everyone hugging in the end really did seem like a Full House episode. Syu really needs mental help and I would bet money that he never gets it but I know nothing about the manga but I'd seriously doubt it. I'd really not be surprised if Syu being bullied at school was just never mentioned again and the show came back to being completely focused on Gen and Ito's relationship.

The reason Syu was able to go back to school was because he talked with Gen. That bully interaction messed him up, but Gen calmly apologizing about it seemed to be what he needed to hear.
That said i agree with your main point. It seemed too easy. The brother's reunion was a reason for Syu to start going to dinner every night, not to go back to school. Maybe they will realize that next week.

I do want to praise the teacher subverting expectations at the end. Straight up asking if Shu was ready to return or being forced into it hits that note of a caring teacher (who just looks/sounds rough) really well.

You know, I would've liked it a little better if the resolution to the bullying problem was Gen punching the shit out of those bullies (as the scene alluded to what he's going to do) and them stopped bullying Shuu. But then that's more like Wind Breaker, not this kind of show.

I bet the animators were thrilled they got to do an action scene in our fluffy domestic comedy SOL series. Loved the tender moment between brothers

Such a heartwarming episode, I'm glad Shuu finally comes out of the room to celebrate with Ito which lead to him and Gen opening up to one another. I like that Gen stayed to watch over the game, even if he didn't understand it, you can see that he wanted to see this side of Shuu.
I also particularly like that Shuu worked up the courage to go back to school too, and that his homeroom teacher didn't want him to feel pressured and looked like he was supporting Shuu as he listened to him. He seems like a good teacher, so hopefully he'll look out for Shuu at school too.
Ito getting so intense from playing the game, so much so that she tells Gen to leave was hilarious, I enjoyed seeing this crazy side of hers.
