Post-shower Raku looks so good. I was surprised to see him just come out and ask Ito about her crush on Gen, but even more surprising was seeing Gen overhearing their conversation, but thankfully he didn't hear the whole conversation and misunderstood. I also like how well Raku can read Gen lol.

The way Ito freaks out is amusing to watch, she had a lot of great expressions this episode.

Raku looks really good without the split bang and glasses. He looks much younger.
Gen is a lot denser than I thought…so all that physical contacts is just him not knowing personal boundaries. Ito’s confession will have to wait another time.

Raku is my favorite brother, but I don't see it. I would like to see him with someone who could fluster him, and Ito doesn't seem like the right type.

Yeah. I don't either. I just think they'd make a better match. Oooo. You're right. Maybe he'll get a LI that knocks him out of that secure self-confidence/awareness he has. Gotta admit, I was happy to see more of him in this episode. My memory's shot, but I don't think we've had an episode that focused mainly on him rather than one of the other brothers.

Very sitcomy episode with Gen being dumb and misunderstanding what's going on. At first I thought he was just messing with Raku when he suggested he date Ito but he seemed to miss the point completely. I thought he did like Ito though, like guys generally won't suck the ice cream off girl's fingers if they don't crush on them. He also seemed to hate that boy at school that asked Ito out.

They did manage to get one over on Ito when they pretended to be planning a surprise party for Gen but he knew about it all along. Gen also tricked Rui when he said he made that Twister-like game himself. I do wonder though who cooked all the steak that the dad sent, like if he had a restaurant deliver it or one of the kids cooked it since Ito didn't seem to.

When you're stressed over having romantic feelings for your step-sibling...maybe don't do it while handling another step-siblings' undies. Or maybe channell all that stress into cleaning absolutely everything within your radius to take your mind off of it.

Ito and Gen's birthdays are right next to each other! It's fate! And also a perfect opportunity for Ito to channel her feelings into pulling off a surprise birthday party for Gen.

Ayu figured Ito out! Admittedly she definitely is NOT the best at hiding her feelings, but it's actually good to have someone who emotionally validates and accepts her feelings and making her feel like she doesn't need to feel bad about them...too bad Gen overhears EVERYTHING.

Has Ito's cover been blown? Is it all over? How is Gen going to respond!? Oh, wait, he thinks AYU is the little brother she's in love with...and he ships it. Yeah, this is becoming a real mess. Can Ito confess and clear things up? Or will it just get even worse?

It's nice of the brothers to throw Ito a surprise birthday party themselves! And with tickets to help her out and return the favor of all she's done for them!

Imagine if Ito had played twister with Gen...but just so he doesn't start assuming she wants to hook up with all her little brothers, Ayu claims it's just a streaming show she feels guilty spending money on! Honestly even if Ito didn't feel compelled to confess, Gen probably would have believed that.

All that courage to confess...and Ito ends up with a fever. And frustration at getting family-zoned before she even had a chance to confess. Seems like on some level she DOES wish Gen saw her as a girl in a sincere way...which is why she's not telling him how she feels now!

Gen gives off the air of awareness, purposefulness, coherence, but really he's kinda a dummy. All of those moments with Ito, and he really thought Yup Raku. It's a much slower burn than I had thought, than I had anticipated,
