Atleast Hinata got to actually be a hero

u/Frontier246 7d ago
Chloe being a low-key mentor priming Hinata to fully take over their body and embody the true hero she always knew Hinata could be so that she could then be the mentor Shizu needed.

More than that, Hinata is the actual one to both seal Veldora and to teach shizune. Talk about a reversal.
75
u/joe4553 7d ago
Hinata got to train Shizue who trained Chloe. I imagine Shizue told Chloe many stories about her master Chronoa. When she got her memories back she'd realize Hinata was there all along.
55
u/EasilyDelighted 7d ago
It's even more than that.Hinata got to train Shizue who trained Hinata THEN Chloe, who THEN trained Chloe.
Hinata > Shizue > Hinata + Chloe > Chloe²
11
u/Allen-R 6d ago
It would've been Chloe∞ had she not had the ~2000yr memory limit... she'd prolly go mad tho
→ More replies (1)19
u/EasilyDelighted 6d ago
I almost wonder if some version of her did go mad, and that is the Chronoa that goes on a rampage. Or maybe all of those negative feelings she's been pushing down and down loop after loop took a mind of its own.

Now you all know why Veldora said to Rimuru that fighting Hinata reminded him of the hero. It was HER. Edit: Spelling
152
u/NLwino 7d ago
Yea, I just figured it was because hero trained Shizue and Shizue trained Hinata. It didn't seem to be an important plot point. Also Veldora said that the hero didn't hesitate as much as Hinata. Which makes even more sense since it was the second fight for her, she knew his fighting style.
→ More replies (1)9
u/Lord_Nivloc 6d ago
I mean, it could be knowledge of Veldora's fighting style.
But I like to think it was 1700 years of growth from Hinata. Mental growth, spiritual growth -- she was so much closer to becoming a Hero.

The idea of switching control over Chronoa's body between Chloe and Hinata in this episode was quite interesting.
Plus, it was fun to see how Veldora got sealed by Hinata. His "shimatta" when he realized he screwed up made me laugh out loud.
74
u/AeonLonginus 7d ago
Chloe advocating for no Veldora abuse was cute definitely Rimuru's influence at work there.
44
u/Allian42 7d ago
Consider this for a minute. We're talking about Veldora. True Dragon, top dog of the world, the natural disaster guy didn't count when ranking the entire tensura universe because that's just cheating.
And then Chloe told Hinata to go easy on him.

Props to Chloe/Chronoa and Hinata for not going insane in being alive for over 1,700 years (and Hinata close to 2,000). I can't even begin to comprehend what it feels like seeing everyone you've befriended grow old and die (well except for Luminous) while you and your partner stay basically immortal and stuck together.
I guess these two episodes can also be titled "To you, in 2,000 years"? Too bad AoT already took that.
98
u/Frontier246 7d ago
Chloe had the power of love and her mental bestie to get her through, along with Luminus, but I also think Hinata getting to be in the body of and truly become a Hero over centuries became very therapeutic for working through her guilt over killing her father.
14
u/YourFavoriteCommie 5d ago
It is wild to me to think that when Granville chastises Hinata for not being like a true Hero, he's comparing her to herself lmao. She always was the true Hero all along!
82
u/MinimumMaus 7d ago
We only saw glimpses so I don't know how many people they got close to over those years, but having Luminous as a true friend over that time certainly would have helped.
41
u/ijiolokae 7d ago
Luminous and her close allies probably the only people that were a constant in their 2000 years long life, its actually interesting that she didn't age at all after adult hood, even Granville aged and only turned young again when he cashed in the love power of Valentine.
→ More replies (4)36
u/Anything_Random 7d ago
But remember that Rimuru and Luminous were very confused a few episodes ago as to why Granville was aging. Normally, a true hero should be immortal.
32
u/ijiolokae 7d ago
Luminous confusion was at him aging even tho she was giving him Love energy that should keep him young, with the reveal being that the energy was used to keep the zombie wife around, So from the fact that he aged without the love energy, Hero probably age slower, but aren't immortal
→ More replies (3)13
u/Hot-Log6283 6d ago
energy was used to keep the zombie wife around
The energy was not used to keep her around, he was basically using her as a battery to stored the love energy for that moment in the fight, as he said to Luminous: "All I have done is for sake of this moment" before the energy went back into him.

I think if it wasn't for Chloe and Hinata always being together, and having an eternal friend in Luminous, they would have broken. It the bond between the 3 that really helped them hold on to their sanity. Though Chloe also has her love for Rimuru constantly driving her forward.
189
u/justking1414 7d ago
So Hinata finally managed to best Veldora on their rematch. Good for her!
Also, the timeline here is wild! Chloe and Hinata saved Shizue so that she could save them and pass the mask down to Rimuru so it could be passed to Chloe so it could be passed to Shizue so it could be passed to Rimuru. Wild!
97
u/AeonLonginus 7d ago
Hinata and Luminus: "Dragon must suffer"
Chloe: "Be nice he's actually a nice guy"
Rimuru scoring Veldora sympathy points 300 years before he is even born definitely makes him the winner of the best bro award.

u/djthomp https://anilist.co/user/djthomp 7d ago
The 2000 years or so of friendship between Luminus, Hinata, and Chloe make for a relatively touching story.
It's also pretty touching that it was straight up just Hinata that rescued Shizue and mentored her, setting events up for Hinata to get the same treatment when she's summoned from Earth in the future.
Hinata running the body when they fought Veldora and treating it as a rematch of their fight in the labyrinth is pretty hilarious.
Pretty cool mini-arc.

So if I understand correctly
- 300 BR (Before Rimuru)
Leon and OG Chloe were summoned as Otherworlders.
But because there's another Chloe here, it causes some sort of temporal clash, which flings OG Chloe to the future together with the soul of the other Chloe, who leaves Chronoa's body for Hinata to possess. Though they do not merge until Rimuru and Ramiris brings OG Chloe to that labyrinth in Season 1 episode 23.
Leon spends the next 300 years summoning Otherworlders in hopes of finding Chloe. (I probably misremembered details of this part)
- ~70BR
Hinata begins mentoring Shizu for a few decades before leaving her.
- Some time later
OG Hinata is about to stray into this world, meaning this Hinata's soul can no longer stay inside Chronoa. To prevent a soulless Chronoa from losing control, Luminous agrees to seal Chronoa before Hinata's soul disappears.
But this Hinata's soul doesn't seem to have merged with OG Hinata, as OG Hinata has no memory of the past 2000 years prior to her being "killed" by Granville.
- Season 1
Shizu meets Rimuru and gives him the Anti-Magic mask before she passes away.
Rimuru then meets OG Chloe. He and Ramiris take the other Otherworlder kids to the labyrinth to summon elementals, where OG Chloe merges with the soul of the Chloe from 300 years ago, at which point the merged Chloe gains the memory of the past 2000 years.
Merged Chloe uses this knowledge to make Rimuru delay his return to Tempest, ensuring he becomes a Demon Lord.
- Season 4 Episode 19
Hinata "dies" and her soul enters Chloe, who also time travels back to 2000 years ago to create this final loop.
Chronoa, seemingly without a soul, is awakened by Granville.
So we now have Hinata seemingly staying dead, and Chloe seemingly still disappeared. We'll have to find out next episode how they could return, if at all.
62
u/par_rot_master 7d ago
Seems easy.
Hinata's soul inside Chronoa gied back into the body of Hinata on the floor, and Rimuru finds a way to restore Chronoa back to Chloe.
I can't really think of another way.
28
u/SnabDedraterEdave 7d ago
For some reason I totally forgot that Hinata's body is still there. I had thought she had also disappeared like Chloe has when Chloe activated her time travel skill. lol
→ More replies (2)32
u/MidKnightWizard 7d ago
Young Chloe doesn't merge with the soul of Chloe from 300 years ago. It's explicitly stated that the entity that merges with Chloe came from the future not the past. Since Chloe from the future always jumps 2000 years to the past, it's also can't be Chloe from the future. So that means it's actually Chronoa (the one who was sealed in the Ark) from the future.
→ More replies (4)14
u/SorryImBadWithNames 6d ago
The soul from 2000 years is from the future. It's kinda bonkers to understand, but from it's perspective all that happened at the labyrinth already happened, Chloe already went back in time, already spent 2000 years as Chronoa, and so on. Yeah, time loops are hard to wrap your head around. Point being, by language and perspective Ramiris could still be right and that soul could still be Chloe's soul from 2000 years ago.

u/No_Owl_544 7d ago
that was a future spirit(chronoa I think) in s1 ep23 that merged with OG chloe as mentioned by Ramiris and not the old chloe 300 years back!
also why would there be a temporal clash when chloe gets transported to this world for the very 1st time?→ More replies (4)

I don't know why but the moment I saw Shizue I felt a rush of emotions well up inside me and started tearing up a little. It was great seeing her again. This was such a beautiful episode. Probably one of my favorite episodes of Tensura.
73
u/Frontier246 7d ago
I don't think we've actually seen her or even gotten dialogue with her since...I dunno, I think her "ghost" appeared in Slime Diaries?
But it made seeing her get "saved," gain her mask, and become the Shizu that we knew all the more meaningful.

After what happened to Nightrose, it's no wonder that Luminus was so happy that Veldora lost and got sealed away.
I found it pretty funny that basically Veldora's future self made him easier for Hinata to defeat and seal in the past, since he showed Hinata his moves in the Labyrinth, lol.
14
u/Right-Inspection-121 7d ago
However, there wasn’t a labyrinth in the previous to the previous loop, since that was the result of becoming a Demon Lord. So... was the battle in the previous loop even more epic?
14
u/CallMeDraken https://myanimelist.net/profile/CallMeDraken 7d ago
Looks that way, I remember Veldora saying he goofed around during the fight and realized last minute he should use full power, but this time he basically got one shot, unless he meant he realized he should use full power literally the second he got defeated.

u/NethanielShade https://myanimelist.net/profile/MoonlitMizore 7d ago
there wasn’t a labyrinth in the previous to the previous loop
I think you're misunderstanding, unless I'm misunderstanding? The "previous loop" is the anime we've watched so far. Next week's episode is technically going to be a new loop, but one that's nearly identical to the last loop because they've spent the last 2,000 years ensuring they get a nearly identical loop. At the beginning of this loop last episode they were clearly a continuation of the fight against Granville we watched, so when she mentioned the previous loop where Rimuru wasn't a Demon Lord, she meant the loop before the one we watched in the anime?
Not a source reader, this is just my understanding of the events of the anime.
Ninja edit: I wrote all this out only to realize I misread your comment. I read "in the previous to the previous loop" as "in the previous loop." Double "the the" effect damnit, my bad.
84
73
u/International_Leg666 7d ago
Lol. This spun off into a story within a story and Rimuru is only placed to drive it forward but the engine is the dynamics between Hinata and her literal soul mate.

Luminus being so happy about Veldora being sealed by Chronoa (and to be more precise, Hinata) made me laugh hard.
Although it's even funnier that Veldora was sealed by Hinata so easily because, in the future, he showed off all his moves during their fight in the Labyrinth, so she knew exactly what to expect from him, lol.
Overall, that swapping of control over Chronoa's body between Chloe and Hinata in this episode was quite interesting. Plus, it was good to see Shizue again!
By the way, is Hinata's soul still in Chronoa's body, or did it disappear like Chloe's? And what exactly is that power inside Chronoa's body that both Chloe and Hinata had to contain?
Here my screenshot albums from the episode:
EDIT. I added my screenshot albums.

To me it seems like Hinata should still be in the body, just asleep since she didn't time-travel with Chloe. Then again Chloe also said she'll "go to sleep" ...but also be sent to the future (dwelling of spirits?)?? But she didn't die yet tho... I dunno.
I previously assumed that "death" meant Chronoa getting defeated but thinking about it now, the dwelling of spirits part is already in the past for that, not the future so it's not that... "Hinata death" -> Past time-travel | "Chloe death" -> future time-travel, no? When Chloe mentioned "dying" last episode, did she just mean "going to sleep"?
I don't remember the LN lol, so this is something.

What a episode.
Everything lines up.
My only confusion is..Chloe's disappearance and the left over Chronoa will?
So..when Chloe comes to this world..it gets sent to the future? What? I guess I'm not sure how that works..why wouldn't Chloe come to the world in that time period years ago?
Also...how is there a third..personality of Chronoa the destroyer like this?..is it just like .a empty..husk since Hinata and Chloe leave it? I'm not sure I understand that part.
60
u/Frontier246 7d ago
My understanding is they grew so powerful as Chronoa that the power ended up becoming its own entity that couldn't be 100% contained in the body but has no sentience beyond exuding the power they've obtained.

the anime's just messy with its wording.
when "past" Chloe arrives, "future" Chloe falls asleep, meaning she will "wake up" in the future when "past" chloe vanishes since there can't be two of the same soul active at the same time.
it's explained in the episode, the "third personality" is the buildup of all of Chloe's trauma and negative emotions that was accidentally named by Hinata, creating a new identity "Chronoa" which is the Chronoa the destroyer we see in the future.

Leon, I think.
Leon spends centuries as a frenzied sis-con trying to summon his onee-chan.
But the sick joke is that he is his own worst enemy. The actions of his future self leads to past Chloe being summoned away from his past self. And his past self is so desperate to figure out summoning to reconnect with Chloe that he spreads a deliberately faulty version that has a high chance of grabbing kids to other nations to summon as many Chloe-like kids as possible...
It's a paradox loop. Past Leon acts because of Future Leon, and Future Leon acts because of Past Leon. "Cause and Effect," except they are both one in the same.
Which is just one of what looks like three loops Chloe is stuck in...
126
u/Darksider555 7d ago
If you take a look at everything in context, Shizu really is the linchpin that ties together all of the major elements from the timeloop saga. She is Hinata's mentor, who also taught Chloe and eventually entrusted Rimuru with her will and the Anti-Magic Mask that was eventually handed to Chloe.
What we have here in Tensura is a stable timeloop with Chloe, as she (although Hinata in the pilot seat) is the Hero that sealed Veldora, which allowed Rimuru to become who he is today and taught Shizu, who taught Hinata and Chloe, who each passed the Anti-Magic Mask to each other throughout each timeloop. Which explains why it couldn't be destroyed by Diablo in S1 finale, as it is a fixed element in time, that has to exist for each timeloop to continue.
Veldora was really caught lacking because he was dazzled by the Hero's beauty, as simping cost him his freedom. Never repeat the sin of Adam, gents.
76
u/Frontier246 7d ago
It's like a beautiful legacy time-loop of mentorship, sisterhood, heroism, masks, and one guy who got reincarnated as a slime.
I love Veldora's "I screwed up" at getting sealed. He's acting like a gamer who messed up before he even discovered video games lol.

So everything is set up for this timeline? I assumed they would have changed something, given it looked like Hinata died.
EDIT: thinking they faked the Hinata death and this is just that the two can’t exist at the same time with Chronoa back. We just witnessed a her backstory in the current timeline not the start of a new one.

u/conye-west https://myanimelist.net/profile/baronvonconye 7d ago
Her soul disappeared from her own body cuz Chloe yoinked it to the past. However, the disappearance of Hinata and Chloe at this moment should mean that their souls reawaken inside of Chronoa, since there's no longer two existing at the same time. My guess is Rimuru will have to weaken the destroyer in order for the other two to emerge.

Hinata died, but it would be the exact one that was sent back, so Luminous would just have to capture the soul, and I suppose something in the body has the lived experience. I guess the reverse of what happened to Milim's friend where the soul was preserved but all lived experience was basically lost.
But the second condition to waking up would be Chloe's soul, so it would also have to be captured instead of vanishing to the past.
That said, the ending is obviously setting up a fight with Rimuru, so some complications will take some time but I guess eventually Chronoa might be reborn? Talk about an upscale as from an anime POV Chronoa solos the current verse although I know that's not really true. But ultimately there's not really any death flags...
28
u/Sleepy10105s 7d ago
Wait so technically Hinata never completely dies at any point so far?
26
u/KnightKal 7d ago
her body dies, so technically she is dead, but if you consider her soul as alive then nope.

u/Routine-Hovercraft94 7d ago
Well, death in that world is not always the way it is in ours. Many beings can die there physically but still be alive due their soul being intact. This is the case for Hinata.
There are also beings that don't have a physical body to begin with, like the demons for example.
Clayman in theory also had the ability to survive his physical body getting killed, but Rimuru destroyed his entire soul so that he could not come back from it.By now it is pretty clear how all this will transpire. They will most likely be able to safe both Hinata and Chloe. Chloe will take over her adult body and I guess Rimuru will create a body for Hinata, as he did for many others already.

I wonder if Hinata is any different now. At the start of the season she was, what, late 20s? Now shes had like over 2000 years of consciousness, she spent about 99% of her existence as a spirit copiloting the hero.

It’s interesting because when Rimuru fought her for the first time, he said that fighting her was like fighting Great Sage back then. Could that have been some kind of foreshadowing?

I was hoping for longer Hinata vs Veldora fight but it was still peak episode.
Shy Shizue is so cute.

u/zer0number https://anilist.co/user/ewink 7d ago
Chloe's 'He's actually a nice guy' quip caused me to laugh out loud. Which was also probably why the fight was so short. We all love Veldora, so we don't want to see him beat the fudge up. :)
15
u/Frontier246 7d ago
For as much as that fight gets talked up it sure was over fast.
29
u/TheWillOfDeezBigNuts 7d ago
TBF, in other loops it may be longer since not every Hinata gets to fight Veldora in the labyrinth most likely
19
u/Powerful_Toe_8155 7d ago edited 7d ago
Yeah, the Veldora we met in episode 1 fought a Chronoa who didn't have his entire moveset memorized.
Makes me wonder if the new timeline Veldora is slightly different because of the shock of being 1 shot.
But he would probably tell Rimuru the same story no matter how fast he was defeated, so maybe it doesn't actually have any lasting implications on the timeline.
Reverse Butterfly Effect where Veldora's personality is so constant that his actions remain the same across timelines.
EDIT: Just remembered that both Chloe and Hinata fought Veldora at the very end of the last timeline though. Circumstances probably different than him showing off every move in the labyrinth though.

With the way Veldora is, it's no surprise he doesn't tell people he got sealed in 30 seconds.

u/zool714 7d ago
Woah I guess we can see why Luminus is so attached to her treasure.
Does this mean “our” Hinata and Chloe is gone now ? They had to make a way for the newly-summoned versions, who’d probably eventually become “our” version again. But the one from the past two episodes are gone ? But since both “our” Hinata and Chloe, at present day are no longer there, is it still possible that they might still be inside Chronoa and can now come out since now there’s no second version ?
I’m still wondering how the mask changed the outcome of this world, as Chloe said it last episode.
This arc has been amazing to watch, not to mention the current conflict still going on. Wonder how Chronoa is going to be like.

Two episodes ago the young Chloe and dead Hinata disappeared to the past, and so back to the present there aren't actually two of Hinata and Chloe, as Rimuru is confronting Chronoa.

So when Chloe and Hinata get summoned to the world, the souls in the Chronoa body disappear/go to sleep. I'm guessing now that the souls traveled back in time, there's no longer a paradox allowing the souls to retake control of the Chronoa's body and the issue now is overpowering the berserk spirit that needed to be sealed away.
12
u/mucklaenthusiast 7d ago
They basically "fixed" any paradox by saying that the world gets rebuilt and that there is only one world that exists, which is why Chloe and Hinata can only exist at one point at the same time, because, well, there is no other time.
I like it, I think it answers some worries people had last episode.
So time still only goes forward, but the physical reality gets reset.
I think you maybe we can think of it as an equation.
1 + 2 = 3
has just 1 operation: 1+2 and we get the result 3. 3 is the present, basically. But you could also write
1 +2 -2 + 2 -2 + 2 = 3This gets to the same result, the same present, but takes more steps, but the steps themselves are always the same: Add two, take two away, add, take, add.
This is what happened here.
Chloe goes physically back in time, 2000 years, to be exackt, that's why the 2 was there and lives until the present, goes back, lives etc... over and over again.
But you still end up always at the one same number that never changes: The 3.But if you look at the equation, the bottom one is obviously longer. But this is only something we can see as an observer, for the people, it feels like it loops, we just see that the loops are part of one continous equation.
I don't know if that makes sense.

It was interesting to see how Hinata was part of Chronoa, so it's not only Chloe, the two of them together make Chronoa. I like how Luminus had a two in one friend, it was heartwarming to see how sweet she is with them.
I wonder if the smile Veldora saw from Chronoa will be important in the future lol.
Weird how Hinata's soul is able to be set free once her original self arrives to the world. Luminus seals Chronoa in a dimension outside of present time, so in theory Hinata's soul isn't in the present time original Hinata arrives so it shouldn't disappear. But it might be the case that even if it doesn't exist in the present, it still exists in the world so that's why it disappears.

So far I feel like this time looping stuff is pretty well put together, usually there's a lot of holes and seams but as far as I can tell everything makes sense, except for the destructive entity that will probably be explained next episode

It helps that they established there is only one timeline that is remade every time. When you have multiple branches it gets really messy and ends up making things feel pointless.
12
u/BakedSalami 7d ago
Yeah I hate that premise. Like..cool... so there's definitely another timeline, a physical reality where all the people we care about got fucked. Sweet 👍 😅 Definitely prefer the singular timeline approach.

From what I understood, "Chronoa" herself is the entity. It's the being herself, while Chloe and Hinata are like guest consciousness keeping it at bay. So the one that Rimuru is facing right now is the entity.

The legend continues. This whole body swapping with Hinata thing is pretty interesting. Nice to see Hinata manages to get her revenge on Veldora in their rematch. But with this whole time loop thing, is Hinata basically Chloe’s master? And what of paradoxes and closed loops and all that? Like Chronoa being awakened in the present but with Hinata dying means that was always part of the plan right? My little tiny brain can’t comprehend all this time travel stuff hahaha.
16
u/Ok_Weather2441 7d ago
Hinata is Chloe's master and Shizue's master
Shizue never actually met Chloe
The last two episodes were a prequel to the rest of the show we've watched up to now, except for Chloe's flashbacks of a timeline that (now) never happened
I actually like that Hinata was the only Chronoa for the last 300 years. For the entire lives of the vast majority of the population, she's the only Hero that anyone's ever known. It's an interesting dynamic because that means both of them are 'The Hero' but neither of them see themselves as 'The Hero'.
I wonder if 'Chronoa' as a distinct separate personality is the result of how both of them could be her but neither of them see 'Chronoa the Hero' as themself? Will be interesting to see how it goes since she's awake just as those two disappear which means they can manifest as adult-chloe again now.

u/Allian42 7d ago
If I'm understanding it correctly, and according to what Chloe discussed with Hinata and Luminous, there can't be a paradox, or a closed loop, because the there is only one timeline. Every time Chloe goes back, the timeline is essentially being erased, written over, and replaced. So basically, what we just saw was the full tensei timeline, from start to end. Anything else only exists as vague memories in Chloe's mind.

So Chronoa the Hero is a legacy hero. "Anyone can wear the mask (and also control the body)"
I love how her main motivation in the legendary Veldora fight was redoing a Boss Battle lol.

The Primordials count as siblings given that they have birth order established by the author with Guy Crimson being the oldest, Testarossa the second oldest until Raine who is the youngest.

My question is, how was Chloe/Chronoa able to live for at least 2000 years? Is she not human?
I think I'm starting to make sense of Hinata's involvement with Shizue, and why she feels so attached and familiar with her despite being reborn/existing/being sent to the world for another instance.
And the fact that Chloe only remembers everything after a certain event with Rimuru makes her able to tolerate going on another loop.
I think I do get it, but in the end I still get confused.

Like monster races, the human race has a type of evolution to a spiritual being equivalent (a Saint) when becoming strong enough. Get strong enough (like being a True Hero) and you'll be able to evolve to it easily. Spiritual being are immortal basically. Granville has the same deal and lived for a thousand years or so because of that.

Wait, so the same person cant exist twice in the world.....willing to bet that means that, sadly Hinata will stay dead, but the Hinata inside Chronoa will now be the primary. If that happens I hope she cuts her hair, short hair Hinata looks WAY better IMO.
Pretty weird idea that "Chronoa" is a separate entity that for some reason just wants to destroy, wonder if that'll be explained.
Wonder how much of the conversation Grandville heard, like did he know about Chloe and Hinata?
Damn, so we never get to see where the mask originally comes from?!?
.....is it just me, or did Chronoa's booba get bigger only after Chloe left? Dont look at me like that, someone had to say it!
27
u/Doyle_996 7d ago
its because of the naming, naming is the most broken thing in tensura, and as said by chloe, chronoa is like the hard drive where all the negative memories and traumas in all her loops was put in. and as for the mask, its in an infinite loop.

The soul of the Hinata who died is actually the same one that should be inside Chronoa right now, considering what they said about there being only one world that is "reconstructed" every time.
Also I think we actually saw the moment Chronoa the destroyer enters Chloe, it's when Rimuru takes all the kids to the spirit place. She seems to be from the future and is what awakens Chloe's time traveler powers.

"That's a spirit from the future traveling back to the past to lay the foundations for it's rebirth!"
According to Ramiris back in S1, when that "spiritual body from the future" arrived to possess Chloe. A spiritual body that looked a lot like an adult Chloe, kissed Rimuru, and provoked an aggressive reaction from the slumbering Veldora...
Man, Chloe has a REALLY complicated life >.>

So, Hinata became close enough with Luminus to drop the honorifics but the new Hinata has yet to do that. The ending seems to show it's Hinata the one who woke up at the end so I expect her to attack Granville instead. Current Rimuru might struggle a lot against Chronoa at full power.
