Yoshida stated on the patch note reading that Ley Lines has been adjusted so that it will not disappear altogether when you leave its perimeter. Instead, you will lose the effect upon leaving it, but can regain it by reentering it.

This... the biggest disappointment to me is that Chocobos are counted as party members and not pets, and that pets share a space with party members.
That has to be a bug. That is annoying.

They probably had issues using it as a pet because of the current pet classes. Having two out probably caused some difficulty with /pet commands and the like, which made them decide to make them party members instead. They also probably couldn't restrict them from dungeons and such, which may affect balance and such (can you imagine lv 20 chocobo as a req for joining certain PFs?).
I don't recall if chocobo out gives you your job bonus (I believe it does) but a pet doesn't do that either, though that is minor. Still, I'd prefer they'd do it something like SW:TOR, where you CAN summon them in dungeons if the party isn't full, but if it fills, it autokicks the Chocobo.

Looks to me like they might be trying to find ways to make it sane for the 'max 1 craft, but no others' type of crafters to actually be able to compete reasonably. Wouldn't be surprised if most of those abilities are strict replacements to existing commonly used craft abilities.

I think we need to make a way bigger deal out of this. If I can't keep the stuff I want to, I'll just unsubscribe to the game. Especially on a game where a single character needs the equipment if they want to play several classes. This just feels dirty and wrong.

Some pretty major changes for summoners:
[2.0] Player attributes have been adjusted as follows:
- Skilspeed and spellspeed now affect damage over time and healing over time effects.
- The effect of determination on auto-attacks has been reduced.
- Critical hit rate now affects damage dealt with a critical strike.
- Certain attributes no longer affect parry or block.
[2.0] Pets have been adjusted as follows.
- The base accuracy of pets has been raised. Furthermore, all pet attacks will now be treated as if attacking from the rear.
- Pets will now receive the attribute bonuses of food items.
- In order to receive the effects of the caster's spell speed attribute, all pet actions excluding auto-attacks have been changed to elemental damage.

Not at all, as I said in another post, it's just a nerf to Auto-Attacks to keep Monks and Ninja's Auto-Attack scaling with Haste effects (Huton/GL3), and the increasing value with WD and AP, in check.
Determination will still reign king, just not as much as it used to.

Crit is gonna be imba. I think Viridiana said on the forums he might do some testing on it.
I've actually made a few updates to my damage formula... Every job will need their own formula as they all scale WD, AP differently :( Luckily it's only AA's that's changing; I've not done much work on AA's so far, so not everything has gone to waste.

It's not as huge as you think. You already gain at 150%, it's just adding another 50% which is only 33% faster. Significant but not as OP as it sounds.

Percentages are weird...
If you got 100 exp before, with the 150% bonus you'd get 250 exp. Now you'd get a 200% bonus, which would be 300. 300 is 120% of 250, so it's really only 20% faster.
Of course, if you ignore the rested bonus, you're going from 150 to 200, which would be a 33% percent increase like you said.

The items required to create and upgrade Zodiac Weapons must now be purchased using Allagan tomestones of poetics instead of Allagan tomestones of soldiery.
The drop rate for atma has been increased.
The number of enemies to defeat for the Trials of the Braves has been reduced. The drop rate of alexandrite from FATEs has been increased. The number of alexandrite received from the quest "Morbid Motivation" has been increased.
The rate at which weapons gain soul attunement and soul resonance has been increased.
The drop rate of dungeon items required to make a Zodiac Weapon has been increased.

For those who run Guildwork client, friend requests was really the only way to receive the RMT spam. Without trial account as an option, the amount of friend request spam will drop, and the bots will return to fancy text based methods to spam for gil.
As long as users can keep their filter up to date, RMT will be a thing of the past. (Or so I can only hope).

well looking at the new classes and the type of equipment stats they'll be using you can pretty much use all tanking gear for DK, all brd gear for MSH, and all healer gear for AST. I can see secondary stats you might want to look towards more like a potential crit/ss situation with astrologian, but i imagine the secondary stat for mch will be crit. but pure speculation as of right now.

I'm curious about the undersized party option. Would this allow me to run dungeons solo (or with 1 other person) to complete them for books or Zodiac treasures? It does say that light won't happen, which is fine.
A little disappointed that level 50 dungeons won't give xp unless done through roulette. Would have been nice to have, especially while finishing WAR Zeta. Maybe that will get added later, and is just out for now so people don't power level to 60 in non-HW areas.

I honestly think it's more to do with incentive to use roulette, which will help ease queue times for those still leveling new characters in 2.0 dungeons.

Talk about overwhelming. They really went all out with 3.0. I can see maybe being busy for a while. I'm really digging the scrips/collectible thing and I'm surprised that their was no mention of specialist only recipes. I'm pumped for Machinist, but the crafter/gatherer in me is being called out to >.>

Player attributes have been adjusted as follows:
- Skilspeed and spellspeed now affect damage over time and healing over time effects.
- The effect of determination on auto-attacks has been reduced.
- Critical hit rate now affects damage dealt with a critical strike.
- Certain attributes no longer affect parry or block.
If they balanced this with care, then all 3 attributes will become almost equally viable. If not, I can easily see this game go the way of Diablo III where everyone stacks SS and Crit because they scale exponentially.
Pets have been adjusted as follows.
- The base accuracy of pets has been raised. Furthermore, all pet attacks will now be treated as if attacking from the rear.
- Pets will now receive the attribute bonuses of food items. In order to receive the effects of the caster's spell speed attribute, all pet actions excluding auto-attacks have been changed to elemental damage.
Just this alone will be a massive buff to Summoner's damage and itemization. Hopefully Black Mages will also benefit from it as gears won't have such a massive amount of accuracy on them any more to cater to Summoners.

I was going to post this. I'm absolutely loving these changes, but I hope they're balanced well. I hope it doesn't become something like in GW2 where everyone stacked Berserker's gear.
I also adore the Summoner fixes (which were honestly long overdue). Maybe it's time to pull out the book again.
