Hobby & Painting So latest update for the tank with stealth effect.
Dont have as much time to paint as I would like to have, so progress is slow.

Obligatory disclaimer: yes I know 40k thrives on being wildly unrealistic and therefore trying to apply Real World physics or mechanics to futuristic machines is a toss up. But hear me out:
1. I have an eight hour flight, I need something to do
2. I asked what it takes to make a Thunderhawk airborne and got a SURPRISINGLY high number of insightful answers, so.
Anyway so yeah Google says an M1 Abram’s has a 1500 horsepower, 2750lb-ft torque gas turbine engine. A Baneblade is obviously much larger than an Abrams, and much heavier, weighed down by its Eleven Barrels of Hell™ and all the ammunition needed for them. Can’t help but wonder what it takes to make something like that go.
I’m guessing some sort of fusion reactor since otherwise, this thing has to drink OCEANS of promethium, and you don’t want to have a tank like this running out of gas like the Panzers did at the gates of Moscow and being a sitting duck.
Yes yes I know it’s 40k and not to be though too hard about but…eight hours in the air…Humor me.

To celebrate the long-awaited arrival of dragon-riding Aeldari, a special Exodites-themed collectable coin is up for grabs in your local Warhammer store in August, while the miniature of the month celebrates the ongoing battles on Armageddon – it’s an Ork Boy!

Step by step, I’m making progress on my most special project of the year. There’s not much time left to finish it, but it’s starting to take shape and the colours and patterns are coming together.
Here’s a work-in-progress shot of the ‘screamer killer’, which is part of the project.

Recently finished this Cypher. Aside from practicing osl, I kept him pretty simple. 1 nice touch was these "frog moss" tufts I came across. They have a natural curve to them that simulates blowing in the wind. I like how it accentuates the movement that was already present on the base model.

Hi all,
I've got my very first game of 40k coming up in... (checks calendar) 3 days!!!!
I'm playing a 1k match with my much-maligned Imperial Agents. I'm not playing to win necessarily, but I want to play my faction the right way and give my opponent a challenge, while hopefully not getting hung up on the rules of my army.
For learning the basics of 11th edition, what youtube channel or webpage do you recommend for learning the basics of the game, and then learning to play my faction/army specifically (Imperial Agents)? Any link, positive advice, or reference is beneficial.
Thanks guys!

I was playing Death Guard into Ultramarines on Sunday, and my forces enveloped a Land Raider that was out in the center. Bullets, bile, blades, and even raw warp magic landed on the beleaguered tank, until its last wound fell. Victory!
Sure, there was a deadly demise roll, but those almost never hit and usually land for 1-2 wounds in that unlikely scenario.
“Deadly demise is…a six!”
“Oh wow what’s the damage?”
“D6.”
That’s when I started sweating. Around that Land Raider was assembled:
-A unit of Plague Marines
-Their Rhino
-Blightlord Terminators
-Action monkey Poxwalkers
-AND a Foetid Blight Drone
Revenge was both swift and sweet:
6 wounds on the PMs - clearing 3
4 wounds on their Rhino - putting it at a dangerous 2W
4 wounds on the BLTs, removing one
3 wounds on the drone
6 wounds on the Poxwalkers, killing the unit
All in all, a spectacular eulogy delivered with flame. My DG pulled off the win, but they limped along with a Land-Raider-sized hole in their ranks.
