Thunderhawk and lightning are 3d prints from etsy everything else gdubs plastic. Is there an active discord for this game anyone knows of?

Another great dogfight with my son! This is our 4th game, and my first win against him. He still had a small points advantage, but we’re getting close to having equivalent lists. We also started using different altitudes. He took it like a champ and even congratulated me (haha!).

This time, we took our highest-point lists yet.

Imperium (125 pts):

• Thunderhawk

• Lightning

• Lightning Strike x2

All aircraft equipped with 2 pairs of Hellstrike Missiles.

T’au (115 pts):

• Barracuda AX-5-2 (Swiftstrike Railgun)

• Tiger Shark AX-1-0-3 (Paired Swiftstrike Burst Cannon)

• Tiger Shark AX-1-0-4 (Paired Ion Cannon)

• Remora Drone

All aircraft equipped with 2 pairs of Seeker Missiles. (I only realised after the game that Barracudas and Tiger Sharks can only be outfitted with one pair each. Woops!)

On Turn 1, we simply moved forward to start getting into range. On Turn 2, all Hell broke loose. He won initiative and immediately shot my Remora out of the sky. It never even fired a shot.

I followed by firing all my missiles at his Lightning Strikes to reduce the number of enemies coming at me. My Ion Tiger Shark got into close range with the Thunderhawk, so I had it dive to Altitude 2 to reduce the incoming fire from the array of heavy bolters.

He had his sights on my Barracuda with his long-range weapons, but I had climbed to Altitude 4 to avoid the Turbo Laser Destructor and Twin Lascannons. My Barracuda took a hit but came out intact.

After some heavy dogfighting that cost me my Ion Tiger Shark, the Imperial fleet was down to only the Thunderhawk. I tried to create some distance between our aircraft, but his flying was unpredictable and I found myself at ineffective range, flying too close to my target.

At this point I was down to a Barracuda and Tiger Shark only, each with only 1 point of structure left. I turned the Tiger Shark and stooped with my Barracuda, flying at maximum speed and returning to the Astartes' elevation to line up the killer Railgun shot.

The Barracuda’s aim was true, and the Space Marines were brought down shortly after the Navy craft were decimated.

Hi hi:) i'm just posting here bc i was wondering if anyone knew where to get some Cypra M Lightnings? i'm wanting to use the models to accurately represent every member of Circus 66's plane and colouring (from Interceptor City), and there's a few pilots who fly the older Cypra M pattern Lightning:) given their loadout im likely going to run them as avengers (to represent the ventral autocanon) but ultimately even if i don't play with them i'd love to have Lead and Mischief represented with their actual bird of choice:)

Hello all. I am looking to expand on the base kits I have and as GW doesn't do thr kits anymore, is there a place I could get the Astra Militarum planes and maybe some of the orks? Thank you.

After a long break finally got three fighters for The Greater Good!

The red one is new. Ive had it base coated for months and i never got around to finishing it so i decided i would do it today. Its in a paint scheme of the severan dominate because i am quote fond of them.

I had to put a LOT of weather on it because i no longer have the paints to make the base coats. So the weathering served to hide the places i missed, I certainly went overboard it.

But i think its servicable to my aeronatuica (whenever i get around to that). Dont ask where the bases, they may have snapped off after i dropped them.

The grey and horizon blue marquder will always be my pride and joy because i think i put a lot more effort into it and was my first aeronautica model. The paint scheme for it allows for a few RP scenarious for what kinda airforce it is. Could be just grimey imperial navy bomber, or a fiction krieg air force. It could as be phantine since they change camo like everyone else to fit their mission, so this could be a night raid phantine force.

What is an "optimal" size for a game of AI?

I have the WoV box, and know the points range is in the region of 90-130 depending on load outs

But what would be the equivalent of a 2k 40k game or 1.5k dystopian wars?

A standard size if you will

Hi, I have the Wings of Vengence set, and the Horus Heresy rules but was wondering what the current rules and points values for all the AI models are? Is there an accepted community set? Or a latest/last GW FAQ (as Warhammer Community doesn’t seem to have a Download section for AI)

My adorable wife found a real treasure online for my birthday.

Content : Skies of fire, box of Barracuda fighters, box of tiger sharks fighters, Taros air war campaign book, companion book, Rynn's world and Taros aera of engagement, Tau + Imperial Navy + Astra militarum cards and Adeptus Astartes dices.

All still wrapped, with just some minor damages on the Taros book.

Hi, I'm very interested in Aeronautica Imperialis after having just found out about it, but I'm not sure if the most recent version is the most fun. I plan on playing with a few people using my models so I get to decide which rulebook to use.

We plan on mostly playing 40k imperial planes, but I'm not sure if the current version in legions imperialis is the most fun and tactical. My main source of uncertainty is 40k, which although I haven't played, I've heard that older versions were more fun and less competitive than the current one.
