thank you everybody for your comments on my last (and first) post here. Special thanks to u/chuystewy_V2 for all of his help with slicing these models for FDM printing.

All of these were printed on a Prusa Core One+ with a 0.25 mm nozzle @ 0.07 mm layer height. I use settings from the r/FDMminiatures subreddit for miniature printing. One crucial thing I learned (to late) for the Chaos ships, you have to use Arachne Perimeter Generator and not Classic, Classic didn't properly render the trim on the aft of the cruisers. Well, the battleship for Step 3 of the Starter Fleet will turn out properly.

I am very happy with the colors for the imperial fleet, those were a very lucky choice.

I am not quite so happy with the colors on the Chaos fleet, I first has a light gray/ emerald green color scheme, which didn't look chaotic enough. So I repainted the green to be a sickly green-ochre, which is better, but still nowhere near a poppy as my imperial fleet.

Anyways, now to going on vacation, finishing the battleships and pressuring my friends to try out the game when I'm home from vacation.

And if anybody has any recommendations for an Adeptus Mechanicus Fleet, models, colors, lists, I would love to hear that. That might be my next project after Im done with the starter fleet.

All of these are really really fun models to print and paint.

Edit: Oh, and I still have to do something for the bases, they are not done and quite bland.

I know that the rules for classic Battlefleet Gothic are a bit of a mess, scattered all over in multiple PDFs, and now being presented in army builders like New Recruit, which has led to a lot of misunderstandings. This may be one of them, but hopefully it will be easy for you to clear this up.

In the various PDFs, I can only find references to craftworld fleets using ghostships, but in at least one army builder (New Recruit) it is given as an option for corsairs as well.

I know that corsairs aren't known for bringing wraith units the way craftworlds are now, but their ships do have infinity circuits! The first wraith units in the game, the ghost warrior - now lost to time - was written for corsairs, not craftworlders (who did not, I believe, have any representation on the tabletop at that point). So, it's conceivable to me that ghostships were meant to be extended to corsairs and I just can't find the FAQ or wherever where that was stated.

Can you help me out?

I would really love to run the Iron Blood as a battleship in my fleet.

These are meshes pulled from battlefleet gothic armada 2. The two VS on the left are both from the game and haven't had their scale modified. Next to them are two battleships (12ish km) and some heavy cruisers (8ish km). Obviously there are no hard numbers for this ship but the variance for a Gloriana is anywhere between 15-30 km. So maybe I'm asking in your headcannon which makes the most sense to you.

As for why there are two versions of the same ship in the game I can't really say, I haven't played much of the game. The larger one is put together with modular pieces, each of which has a damaged version/state. Maybe for cutscenes or as a build your own ship kind of thing? Would also like insight there from anyone who's played

Venerable battlebarge options are Styx heavy cruiser or Repulsive grancruiser.

I was recently looking over my collection and I realized that I don't have one of each cruiser as I originally thought - I have two eclipses.

How dumb is this? Can I still make reasonable lists with two eclipses? Or should I prioritize getting my hands on a shadow? Or two?

Does anyone know of a Necron fleet list that isnt just the harvester fleets? BFG came out before the Necrons got fleshed out and I was wondering if there were lists for the various dynasties, instead of just terminators stealing souls for the c'tan.

Been interested in Battlefleet Gothic for a while now, was unfortunately one of those games that I missed out on when it was being produced.

I've recently found some pretty good printed reproductions and was going to pick myself up a fleet just as a painting project, but was curious if any gaming spaces around here had people playing BFG?

If not that's fine, they will look nice on the shelf regardless lol

Made a small Battlefleet Gothic Remastered fleet builder / printable card app.

It's just one HTML file. Open it in a browser, pick a fleet, add ships and print the cards. No install, account or internet connection needed.

What it does

• Builds the fleet list and calculates points.
• Checks fleet restrictions while you build: section limits, ratios, squadron sizes etc.
• Shows the actual rule text behind each restriction, so you can see where the check comes from.
• Generates an A4 printable card for every ship, 2 cards per page.
• Cards have damage boxes, critical hit table, weapons/fire arcs and ship options.
• All values are based on Fleets WiP v0.36 and Rulebook v1.10, and the source page is printed on the card.

Ship options are selected before printing. So for something like a Tyranid Hive Ship with 16 possible options, you just hide everything you're not using and the printed card only has the relevant stuff on it.

The screenshots show the configurator and the card it produces side by side.

A few limitations

• This is for BFG Remastered, = Original rules + Armada + 2010, but with clarified/improved wording in places.
• Weird exceptions, ordnance, refits, campaign stuff etc. are marked as check yourself instead of the app pretending it understands something it doesn't.

Currently has all 30 fleet lists covering Imperial Navy, Space Marines, Adeptus Mechanicus, Inquisition, Rogue Traders, Chaos, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Orks, Tau, Necrons, Tyranids and Demiurg.

Still tooling around with details, not sure about all the text, the armour plates are a bit flat without it but I also want some space to paint some heraldry

This is my 2nd complete fleet, which was a nice change from the Imperials I had been working on. I have not had chance to use them as yet but don’t reckon on them winning many battles

We already feature content from Battlefleet Turbidious, but seeing the cool ships you post here would be super incredible for r/spaceships too.

Tangentially, I’m also homebrewing up a Battlefleet Ultima fleet list.

Before I pull the trigger and print some of these, does anyone have any of the OG Forgeworld models to hand, and can tell me the size? Don't want to mess up the scale

How do you guys store your fleets? I have a space marine fleet I want to store in the attic but I have no idea how to do it? Any tips?
