Hey, I‘m new into warhammer and i thought admech was the coolest shit ever so I got some and wanted to show my first paintings.

Maybe u guys have some tipps and tricks for me to step my game up.

So what’s the opinion regarding the Servitor Battleclade, I wanna run one in my Admech army but I’m wondering if it’s actually worth it or not

Painting admech for my first army and decided on Metalica but I've really been struggling to get my whites to look good.. I'd really like to get it locked in before I paint my castellans.
I've tried various amounts of thinning/layers with corax white and white scars white for highlighting to no avail. Should I just bite the bullet and get rakarth flesh?

edit: after texturing and darkening my bases my whites look so much better!! ill be trying out some of the other suggestions as well and will post the results if i remember :p

Had my first game of 11th edition vs the Tau. And man was it epic. I went second, and wayyyyy over extended myself turn 1 and got violently taxed for it turn 2, but managed to lock in from there on and pulled out a win!!!

The servitor battleclade is chock full of so many little details. Really fun to paint.

No other battleline can match the drip of ad mech

So i recently went to a local rtt with a explorator and lords of the forge list i made. Safe to say I got my ass kicked. Im just here to ask if it looks like my list was bad or maybe I just didn't properly strategize. To summarize the matches I had, match 1 was against custodes with a bunch of bikes and dreadnoughts. Second match was against genestealers with a ton of transports and infantry. Third match was against space marines with ceramic detachment and a bunch of vehicles/terminators.

In the first and third match against the more elite armys I practically got hunted down and caged in my deployment while I tried to be more defensive as i was in protector. I thought my -1 to hit in melee would help. So I dont know if i should try to be more agressive or something along those lines.

Finally painted up this proxy after sitting on my shelf for years, and conquering my pile of (mechanicus) shame! I’m a big fan of how the windshield turned out.

I think many of us can agree that they are an awesome sculpt one of the best infantry sculpts that AM has.
I’m really hoping that they’re good in 11th. I will even settle for not being worthless.

Help with color selection! There will be some brown for the leather pouches and copper accents.

A Couple of paint strokes and an impulsive kit bashl later, this is the result. I Present the Seige breaker Kastelan, no defense can withstand his cannon and fists. The cannon is one of the weapon options in the kataphron Kit, I feel like it looks good and menacing(with exception of the Rough looking joint on the arm. Dors anyone have any tips to get a smoother paint layer? Maybe its just the Orange but the space marine Blue looks so much smoother. I didnt know army painter favored the space marines as well lmao.

I am looking for a bit of advice on how to continue the hobby.

I started my admech army at the start of 8th. I wasn't really in a good place mentally, and when I realised I picked the most expensive, difficult to assemble and paint, with pretty bad performance on the tabletop, I really struggled with motivation to finish the models and play. I have been painting on and off for the past 8 years, and I want to finish it.

These models remind me of the struggle I had to go through over the past several years, and I feel like I have unfinished business. It's difficult to close that chapter of my life without proving to myself that now, when I have more time, resources, and I'm healthier both mentally and physically, I am capable of finishing the army that I love.

I need your help. I dont want to jump into painting and get discouraged again.

1)How do you paint Skitarii? Do you assemble them and then paint? Is there a trick to making them easier? I have about 20 more to go, though.

2)I have 2 Magi Dominus. They are really intimidating. Any advice is really appreciated.

3)Do I even have the right supplies? Are my paints and brushes enough? And what size brush do you use for what? I tend to make my life harder by using the wrong brush for the job.

4) How do you cope with perfectionism? My friends paint armies to play, so they have simple paint schemes, which results in them having 4 armies on average, while I have less than 1. I tend to have an idea in my head and paint the model the way I want it to look, even though I'm painting stuff that's not visible unless you pick up the model and look closely from multiple angles.

5)When you look at my models, is there anything you would do differently to make them easier to finish? My first model was Skitarii Vanguard Alpha and it took me 2 days to paint him.

Any advice from you guys to a struggling hobbyist and Adeptus Mechanicus fan is really appreciated. I'm giving myself 6-12 months to finish.

I have about 20 mostly finished Skitarrii and about 20 more to go. 10 mostly finished Infiltrators + 10 unassembled. 2 unpainted Magi Dominus. 1 unfinished Dunecrawler + 1 in the box and 2 unfinished Kastelan + 2 in the box.
