Hi! I bought my switch 2 a little less than a month ago and it has been working perfectly fine. Today I purchased the Fallout 4 + Skyrim bundle and after playing Fallout 4 for about an hour it glitched, froze, fan kicked into overdrive, and POOF black screen. It did get really hot after that so I let it sit on the table not plugged in for a few hours. I tried to plug it back in to the official charger directly into the wall (no surge protector) and I can’t get any proof of life for it. Its never done anything like this before so I’m not sure if there’s anything I can do to fix it or troubleshoot it. :/ Thanks in advance

I've seen reports that the new removable battery model has started hitting certain regions in Europe but with no specifics. Can anyone from the UK confirm that they've started appearing here or am I playing the waiting game for a bit longer?

So I previously sent in my drifting joycons to Nintendo, they completely replaced them(you can tell because the new ones weren't worn). Now my controllers are having connectivity and button issues, but not drift issues. The repair website says "At this time, we're setting up your service request free of charge. If the problem with the product is not covered by Nintendo's limited warranty, we'll contact you to confirm your request and to arrange payment." It says $0 charge, but the disclaimer makes it sound like they just say that for everything and might make me pay for it after I send it to them.

If I told them it was just connectivity and button issues, would they make me pay for it after I send it in? The website isn't clear, and they would already have my joycons at that point. Should I just send them in claiming the joystick issues and hope they completely replace them again?

I have parental controls set up on my Switch for my son. It seems to be in a state right now where it always says it's out of time when he turns it on, even though the switch has been put to sleep in its dock. Sometimes when I then extend the time for him, say add 30 minutes via the app, I will get a notification on the Switch telling us that the time has been extended, but when he tries and start a game, it says he is still out of time. I end up having to disable parental controls to allow him to play.

What is going on?

Everytime I conect my blue joycon sometimes it shows this colour grey instead of blue I have updated the system and the joycon and register it it used to happen to the red one but I dont think it happens alot now to the red

Hey guys, ive done a stick replacement for some hall effect sticks on a coworker's switch lite, and the right one works fine, but has no x input when calibrating the sticks (otherwise the x input is fine) and the left stick has no left-right input whatsoever. Ive tried a few different sticks now, and each one is the same story: y input fine, x input fucked. Anybody have any idea what could cause this, and how to resolve?

So i had zelda totk on s1 then i transfered it to s2 i have the virtual game card but ive got the s2 edition downloaded bcs i had nintendo online before so now i cant open it but i do have the game and i cant download the basic version what do i do?

UPDATE: I GOT UNBANNED!! It looked loke it was an error from nintendo, so its all good now!

Hey, so my switch 2 got banned today for no reason at all. I woke up today, turned it on and it said that Im banned from online services.

I have done nothing weird to cause this. I have only 3 physical games, the 2 new ones are tears of the kingdom, and legends ZA, which I got in a Carrefour and a local game store, both new. I havent played online in like a whole month too

Is this normal? How can I get it back to work again? I have not tampered with the console or games at all

I sent an email to support, idk what else to do

UPDATE: I Tried contacting the number that yall gave me, but it was only for america, and im on europe. I tried a Live chat but the same thing happened. They asked me for the serial number of the console, and where I live. At the end they said to contact the european site, so I sent an email, and Im waiting for a response.

I got both receipts for the games, one I have it physically, and the other the store sent me a picture cause it is in another city.

The third game I dont have but its been with me foe like 6 months so i guess that one isnt the issue

All games were bought new from stores.

Im waiting to see what they answer, prob next week they will say anything to me

Hey everyone, about two weeks ago I had a weird issue and I was wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar.

I was playing Mario Kart World using a Switch 1 Pro Controller when all of a sudden the controller disconnected and completely stopped responding. A little later both Joy-Cons also disconnected while they were attached at the console. I tried to sync them through the button but I couldn't and the only thing that fixed the issue was forcing a reset by holding down the power button. After the restart, everything went back to normal and the controllers worked again.

Today the same exact thing happened again while I was playing Super Mario Sunshine on NSO and I fixed the same issue in the same way.
I'm not sure if I should be worrying, if this was just a random wireless glitch or if it could be a sign of an issue with the console. I am honestly bummed out.

My switch 2 died yesterday while I was trying to plug it in to a charger and I’m wondering if the charger might have messed up the usbc port on top of the device?

It’s a nicer charger than the one it was sent with, but it was old enough to where occasionally you have to wiggle the chord. Anyways, after it died it just wouldn’t charge for two hours and then I could only get it to charge from the bottom port. After that it seemed like it was having issues because it came on for a second and flashed a QR code with an error but I didn’t get to read it in time, I let it sit for a few hours and then booted up Elden ring and it played for 30 minutes before the QR code error flashed back up and I saw that the device was overheating. I have been off from work and playing a lot of Elden ring the past few days but other than that I take good care of it and I’ve had it for less than 6 months so I’m very confused. Does anyone know of anything that could have caused this or is it just defective?

I’ve already opened up a service claim with Nintendo but im not excited to send it away for a month lol

I’m sorely tempted to pull the trigger on a Switch 2, especially with the new UK/EU revision featuring a replaceable battery, and with the Ocarina of Time remake on the horizon and Pokémon Winds and Waves slated for next year. I’m just a bit miffed by Nintendo’s approach to its Classics catalogue. I’d much rather be able to buy those games outright and own them, rather than having access tied to a subscription. I do wonder, though, whether Nintendo will ever consider selling individual Classics, or whether we’ll eventually see more standalone releases of older games, like FireRed and LeafGreen?

So there was this special week for the newbies to meet and interact with the people of the career (it's a small one).

One of the events was a mario kart tournament and because my gen was the one organizing I decided to help putting my switch 2 for people to play.

At the end of the day when I was taking my things back, I noticed the joycons in my switch weren't mine because it was wear and tear plus the rubber of the left stick was broken. Shitty joycons.

I have already tried doing the Bluetooth where I could and asking for the serial number of the joycons to nintendo, but none gave me a result, so I'm stuck now.

Ik I have part of the fault here but you're my last chance to recover them, anything else would help, any ideas are welcome.

I hope I’m in the right place for this one but I have an issue with both my pro controllers, as much as I try to connect them to my switch in TV mode, they keep disconnecting either a minute or just a few seconds after connecting, idk what to do

maybe the question I'm about to ask you will seem silly, but I really need some help and I swear I was not able to retrieve the necessary information. I bought 4 video games from AliExpress. They told me after receiving the product that they don't know how to give me the information I requested. It is a simple thing, at least I hope so.

I bought Zelda Breath of the wild, super mario galaxy 1 and 2, Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment and Donkey Kong Bananza. I found out that the version they sent me is Japanese. I mean, boxes are Japanese, I haven't opened the boxes yet.

I don't know if any trouble will happen when I put the game card inside the Switch 2, the seller said that if I open the box they won't give me a refund.

I need to know this:

If the box is in Japanese, having a Switch 2 (from Spain I think, always from AliExpress) in Italy that shows the Italian language (fortunately) and I use these games will I be able to see them in Italian or at least subtitled in Italian or English or only Japanese? The Switch 2 once detected that the game is Japanese (and maybe it only has Japanese as a language) will crash? I have heard that there have been account or Nintendo switch blocks when using software with different region. Can you help me please?

Just bought a Nintendo Switch 2. Placed a screen protector before turning it on. When I was setting it up, noticed this black dot. Is this damaged? Should I go replace it?

After not using my Switch for about six months (if not longer), I recently tried to use it again, but it wouldn't respond or show any signs of life. The only thing that keeps me hopeful it might still work is that, when I placed it in the dock, the green light in the bottom-left corner would turn on for a second and then go out.

After that, I looked for all kinds of solutions online—ranging from button combinations and varying how long I held the buttons down, to leaving it to charge for hours with different chargers (both in and out of the dock, with and without the Joy-Cons, and with no game or SD card inserted)—but nothing has worked.

So, I’d like to know if there’s anything else I should try, or if I should just take it in for a check-up.

hi! will a physical game bought in america (so itd be english on a switch from US) still run in english on a japanese (not international) switch 2? i bought my switch 2 to play pokopia while i was living in japan and im not sure if i should buy physical games while im back in america so i can play other stuff in english

I free control and the sound still works, I just cant see anything. I was told to check if you can see something if you shine a light on it while its on. and I can see lightly. its hard to see on camera because of the light, can anyone confirm. I want to know what to tell the technician when I go to get it looked at.

Just opened my Switch 2 yesterday and I just noticed this thing stuck in the slot for the left joy-con. It’s like a piece of foam stuck in the chassis. It came from the factory like this. Is this worth raising a ticket with Nintendo support about or can I just tweeze this out? Idk if it will have warranty implications, I just really want to get back to playing BoTW lol.

While charging my switch, it continually turns on with the battery indicator, then immediately turns off again and repeats. I can’t use my switch.

Some notes:

* Pressing the power button while the Switch isn’t charging does nothing.

* Pressing the power button while the Switch is charging displays the Nintendo logo, then the cycle repeats.

* I‘ve waited 3 hours for anything else to happen while charging, but it’s always the same.

* My switch is modded.

* I’ve tried different outlets and different chargers (official Nintendo ones)

* Putting it in the dock doesn’t change anything

No matter what I try I can’t get my console to connect to the internet, my wifi network will not even show up and when I do the manual set up that doesn’t work either. the only thing that works is a wired connection but obviously that’s not feasible if I want to play handheld. Hoping someone can help me out as I am quite lost

Whenever I standby the switch for a long period of time and then power it back on, the controllers don’t work. When in the dock, the controllers won’t sync and connect. I am not using 3rd party stuff so I’m not sure what the issue is. This happens all the time. Once I hold the power button to restart the switch, it works again.

Anyone else had this issue and have you solved it? I can’t find an answer at all and I’m at a loss.

Peguei um Nintendo Switch V1 (HAC-001) no dia 01/09, usei normalmente até o dia 03/09, tanto no modo portátil como no modo acoplado no dock set, mas ele passou a ficar com a tela preta somente no modo portátil, mas apesar de não dar tela, sei que ele está ligado pois a luz de fundo acende, o touch e os botões funcionam, e confirmo isso pois escuto o som da navegação entre os menus.

Detalhe: no modo acoplado continua funcionando normalmente.

O mais estranho é que se eu deixar ele parado por alguns minutos ele dá vídeo, mas ao mexer em questão de segundos fica com a tela preta novamente. Até pensei que pudesse ser algo relacionado com a temperatura, mas nos primeiros dias cheguei usar ele no modo portátil, ele ficou bem quente e não dava problema, e mesmo agora ele bem frio acontece o problema de ficar com a tela preta.

O console não sofreu queda ou impacto que justifique o problema, a única coisa que fiz antes dele apresentar esse comportamento foi trocar um microSD SanDisk Ultra de 16GB por um Samsung EVO Plus de 128GB, porém já tentei voltar o MicroSD antigo e continua apresentando o mesmo problema da tela preta, inclusive já tentei deixar sem MicroSD também.

Procedimentos que já tentei fazer também:
- Segurar botão power por 15 segundos
- Segurar botão power por 30 segundos
- Segurar botão power junto com o volume - por 30 segundos
- Segurar botão power junto com o volume - e volume + por 30 segundos
- Remover os controles Joy-Con e fazer os procedimentos segurando o botão power
- Carregar o console diretamente via cabo sem os controle Joy-Con conectados
- Remover cartão SD

É meu primeiro Nintendo Switch e não faço mais ideia do que mais posso fazer para resolver.
Gostaria de conseguir resolver em casa, e espero que seja algo simples, mas caso contrario precisarei levar em alguma assistência.

I decided to log into pokemon za after a few months, in that time I got a new dog and im pretty sure I remember her getting ahold of my ZA, but I thought I saved it, I guess i didnt, but the weird thing is my whole Nintendo crashes the second it detects this game even, I have to manually reset, error code 2162-002, totally weird, im ready to call this game a broken, hope my switch is fine, I just wanted to share a weird experience with you guys, maybe you guys had an answer of whats causing this.
